On one hand, we can reasonably expect it to be well animated now. On the other, KyoAni is probably going to rewrite large chunks of the plot because that's what they do, and it's a crapshot on if this'll work out

This is really weird, though. KyoAni usually doesn't adapt stuff they don't publish

OK! I'm dubbing that Flip Flappers episode "Hokuto no Precure!" and maybe put a "Z" at the end of that...also...was that a yuri harem/orgy?

Don't leave out the jawas and Mad Max guys! And, yes, that was a yuri slave harem

On Regalia, I'm not sure if I should see Ingrid-Kei as sisters or sisters? hmm...

I don't think we have enough information yet. The part that confuses me, though, is where the story is going to go now

Doesn't have the hugest number of shows I like, but it has several I really like. I'd certainly consider it above-average

Bit short on plot, but a fun read regardless

Essentially a collection of short-stories that isn't marked as such. Kind of irritating! Particularly with those dream pills suggesting there might be something deeper going on (which is never brought up again)

I'm just hoping it doesn't take a right turn into imitation Madoka halfway through.

Not impossible but I don't think it's very likely, either. While it is darker than cute girls exploring fantasy lands, it's breed of darkness seems to be more melancholy than horror. Most Madoka-likes have been pretty open about what they're doing, too

On Flip Flappers, the actions themselves aren't necessarily romantic, but the way they're framed is. We get several scenes where it looks like Cocona and Papika are about to kiss, and the first time Cocona sees Papika the shot has that glowly slow-mo effect normally reserved for love interests. They seem to want us to at least consider the possibility that the relationship is romantic

Well, this looks like it'll be an interesting anime, with hopefully some yuri potential.

The premise is suspiciously similar to GaraKowa's

Staff is a bit worrying: Mizushima's output is fairly erratic to begin with, but his position as chief director means that he's basically training some no-name. The writer doesn't have the best history, either

But, yes, it could easily have yuri potential

Could someone clarify for me whether the protagonists in Izetta are supposed to like each other romantically or not? I think so but it almost seemed like the writers deliberately made it unclear. Or I'm just seeing what I want to see.
(Only watched episode 2)

Why would you skip the first episode? That aside, it's ambiguous currently. Might get cleared up later, might not

...I'd like to take a moment here to note that anime tends to make romantic pairings ambiguous in general, and the treatment of yuri isn't really all that unusual

^ Speaking of Stella no Mahou, streaming service Daisuki will be picking it up starting on the 10th of Oct. And, considering it's serialized in Manga Time Kirara, it'll almost definitely have some bit of yuri shipping potential like all the other adaptations; ie, GochiUsa.

Suns are out elsewhere... I didn't notice much shippable in the first episode

Of the CGDCT anime this season Long Riders is definitely the gayer one. Nothing brilliant and still not that yuri, but might be worth checking out

Meanwhile, Izetta continues to be amazing

So, Girlish Number. Satire of the voice-acting industry. I think it's good, but it's not really my style. Don't expect any romance, yuri or het

Okay, the new Wixoss is about a couple of girls who are pretty hung up on each other. Haven't interacted much yet, but certainly has potential for yuri. Show's nothing spectacular, though . And Kiyoi is back. That poor, poor girl

The scene Papika leaned in really close (like 3-4 times tbh) really had me riled up, I really thought she was gonna kiss her

What was interesting there is that Cocona only pushed her away when she started sniffing

Also, I think Stella no Mahou was subbed. Someone give us feedback

Charming. No yuri (subtext) that I noticed, but charming

As much as I enjoy seeing Chagen unhappy, it still doesn't really mean all that much. Someone that saw the screenings was happy with the subtext and Chagen freaked out because that's what he does

We all do realize that we're still at the set-up phase of the season and all these shows have the potential to changed dramatically, right?

That said, Flip Flappers' first episode shows strong potential both for yuri and being a good show in general. Great art, both technically and design-wise, fun tone, and Papika sure is fond of Cocona

So thanks to a post from a resident yuri (subtext) hating subhuman on ANN saying that they dropped Flip Flappers with knowledge of what happens in future eps, it is safe to say that Flip Flappers is going to go all in with the yuri later on, subtext or otherwise.

As an original series, people really shouldn't have knowledge of what happens in future eps. I think someone here is confused

Surprisingly, no real subtext in Matoi (yet?). Also I don't think it's very good

Haifuri starts nice and with rather strong subtext but the subtext never goes anywhere and ends up forgotten.

Did... did we watch the same show? The subtext gets pretty strong towards the end with a blatant Shiro x Mike x Moka triangle. The final episode in particularly gets incredibly romantic

Next, is between Haifuri, Ange Vierge, or Regalia. Any reccommendation which one to watch first and/or which one I shouldn't bother to check out?

You realize that Regalia is still ongoing, right? That aside, I personally greatly enjoyed Haifuri and felt Ange Vierge was trash

So we have more legal streaming sites than ever before and they're all fairly active, but somehow it looks like the fansubbers are going to have a fair amount to do regardless. I mean, I didn't have high expectations of Idol Memories or Stella, but this is still annoying

So, uh, ping-pong. Maybe this'll get people to work on the manga? Underwhelmed by the anime's execution

Premise reminded me of YuYuYu

So, that was alright. Feels like it's meant to be a longer story

Yuri report, day 1:

Izetta: Manages an impressive amount of subtext despite half of the main pair barely showing up (that look Fine gives Izetta at the end...). Also, is great

Magical Girl Raising Project: So, the apparent love interest is a guy that transforms into girl and I don't know what to think about that. But the OP is making it look like Ripple is going to be more important and people are going to die, so...

Vivid Strike: I don't know because I didn't like it enough to finish the first episode

Oh, that was actually quite good. Naka's personality change was a bit extreme, though

subtext tag, maybe?
