This chapter felt cheap fan servicey and lazy to me, not gonna lie. I really hope this isn't where the manga is headed (^^)

That was very warm and sweet ^_^ It captures these "getting to know a new person'' moments quite well IMO. Nice little hints of potential budding romantic feelings without overstating it too, which is appropriate for characters that age. I'd sure take a lot more of this !

I ended up finishing this manga elsewhere some time ago but I'll be happy to read the last few chapters again here ^⁠_⁠^ And yeah, auntie doesn't come off too well out of this, being a better mother to Shinobu than to her actual daughter and holding on to an imaginary grudge for all these years (⁠^⁠^⁠) She's lucky Kagami kept talking to her at all, I know I would have burned that bridge the moment I got out of the house.

As bad as Tsukushi is, the indoor record for uselessness still goes to Kou from New Game! in my book. When someone insist on living together with you AND sharing the same bed with you, you've got no freaking excuse for not getting the message XD

Mitsuki misses the shot and the guy's comment surely is just meant to imply that Aya sees her through some rose-tinted glasses, not a factual statement. So I don't think there's specific indication she's particularly sporty in the first place ...

The way the scene is presented visually sure makes it seem like a graceful and ''cool'' moment, to me at least. The shot doesn't go in but everything about it screams that Mitsuki is surprisingly athletic, unless I'm reading it completely wrong.

The pain is coming , made even worst by the fact that no one is really at fault here :⁠‑⁠X Also, Shimamura really suffers from the ''flirty without meaning to '' curse pretty bad, the girl is smooth AF in the laziest way possible.

Mitsuki being kinda sporty on top of everything else is an unexpected, somewhat sexy twist, not gonna lie :O The girl is dangerous.

Part of me would be curious to see this premise handled a tad more seriously, but I can live with a light comedy about cute bubblehead cops too. Happy slice of life stuff with a yuri angle always makes for a fun read in my book, I'll never get tired of that, even if it's not aiming all that high.

If you're willing to trade off yuri in favor of slightly more seriousness, there's always Police in a Pod, which leans a little more into the "this job is a bit shit innit" aspect of being a koban policewoman.

Yuri is non negotiable for me, sorry :P

Mitsuki is really lucky to have a parental figure 100% looking out for her and being supportive like that. It's a cliché but feeling like you have someone on your side really makes all the difference in the world when you're a teenager.
