I'm sure Makino can come up with an excuse. After all, it is not the first time that she was caught. The difference is now she is a member of the love hotel. She can use an excuse that she was way too tired after cramp school, so she needs to rest for a few hours. She pays for the membership so that she can go to the hotel anytime for a limited hour discount. Perhaps she can ask Maron to collaborate.

Oh about adoptions...it is easy to go through a loop hole. All you need is to find a gay (men) couple, and then become legally two heterosexual couples after signing the marriage certificate. We call this "lavender marriage". If it is all possible to use prenup excuses, just make a legal document that the babies belong to mom. In that way the two couples can divorce and then back with their lovers. Of course, the father also has some rights to the baby. So throw one stone to take care of two crisis.

You know, the scumbag Makino does not even understand that her parents are very lenient. All they want is for Makino not to fail any subjects. 60%? Even if you do not go to cram school, you still should get the minimal passing grade if you pay attention to the classes. Her parents just want her to get at least a D. You cannot go lower than that when it comes to expectation. Also, she cannot even think of any career for the future. Even "Night Club owner" is better than " ? ?*. How hard is it to make up a career choice which you have no intention to go after? Take the money, and then IF you reach University, you can change your major from that subject to something easy. Consider how lenient the parents are, they are unlikely to watch over Makino all the time. It is also has something to do with saving face. A cram school owner's daughter should be able to go to College, you just do not need to tell which College she went to, along with the major.
If you cannot get into the top universities, just make sure you pick one that is not too far away from home but also not too close to home. Then you can make up of excuses like "I want to stay with my parents on their sides, just in case they need me", "My sister has her own life, so I have to be close to home to help out my parents and look after them", or "I cannot handle the crazy every day life in a big city like Tokyo. I prefer studying somewhere that is less hectic in life while also has a "Put in her choice" department".

What a piece of scumbag.

I know Hitomi does things "behind the scene", but it is always someone else mentions what she does. She really looks younger than a fourth grader, looks more like a kindergartener. In fact, I am not even sure if she has ever spoken a single sentence so far. There are several places, like this chapter, that the bubble could be come from her, but it is vague and could be from another characters. Can anyone check?

I like this manga, because right off the bat we know that the two MCs are a couple already, for quite awhile. It actually make the story much more convincing. Also by showing affection, and not having to worry about taboos, is nice. Nobody bothers them. I doubt they can do the same thing in Tokyo without having people looking at them putting judgement.

First!
Seriously Chapter 38 is a really good chapter. 30 pages. The speed is perfect, not too slow (thus dragging) and not too fast. Again a lot of conversation between various characters. Goodled Anon, take your time! I am already yearning for Chapter 39 to come out. Show most likely has already turned it in, since according to his blog, he always sent in the chapter two issues ahead of the deadline.

I'll just shut up. I cannot please both sides. The one that votes down on "spoilers" when the spoilers were not even be a proper spoilers. Then there are those who desperately want to learn a bit of the chapter, but cannot wait for the translation, such as this one (5 chapters behind), hence my vague answer. Oh well, that's what facebook for, and I have not even pointed out at places like chan or red**...
At no time did I look down upon the scanlation team. In general, scanlation is much better than the "official" copyright holders. A bad official translation frequently, IMHO, needs all the other official translation of other language, plus the raw, and all the scanlation translation, just to figure out the true meaning of certain things. Such as Love. Lord knows how many times I have to check the Raw to determine whether it is suki, daisuki, or aishiteru....

I read both of their twitters and it seems like Kitta Izumi came back to Japan. Graduated and finished school and came back home? Husband tagged along or long distance relationship? Quickie divorce? Who knows. One way or another it is more than understandable that she needs a break. Think about this. She could have handed in her scripts for November 2021 and February 2022 as early as August 2021, if she has seen (the marriage) coming. This can mean not writing for close to a year. She does look happy though. Galette is a doujin, so nobody is obligated to draw an episode in every issue...
No, I am not a seiyuu fan, even though I am an old friend of probably the biggest internet seiyuu fan ever (I will not name names other than the fan loves baseball) I am just trying to figure out how come Liberty is not in Issue 22, and whether it will also be missing in 23. No sign from both their twitters about issue 23. Not even a tease. Just posting about tankoubon #2 (i do love the cover). Well, we have less than a month away from 23 coming out....

This reminds me to ask the person what is up with Kitta Izumi. Maybe the person has more info than the official news.

Beware of Gothic Lolita. Best sex and then killing you softly with a box cutter. Officially I am now hopelessly in love with Rinarina. She will be my perfect girlfriend, even though she definitely lack of a few departments...

As to why she chose the playground...the majority of goths usually still love things even when they become adults, and behave so. This is not nostalgia, but genuine interests that never go away as they grow up. Gothic Lolita is just a branch of the subculture. Hence they dress like dolls. A lot of them are also into creepy things such as horror movies, and of course the Addams Family.

I still play with my Barbie dolls to this day, I have a good collection, I am not doing this for anyone else, it is for me myself to have fun.
I hardly wear anything other than black. I used to read Gothic Lolita magazines, starting from Volume one, that was slightly more than 20 years ago, and hard to believe, I still have the figure. My friends and I were actually dressing up like this before the Japanese did, so it was the Japanese who brought the style into main stream. For us, we have to make our own patterns from scratch. Most of us know how to sew. I don't, but I use the serger (Evil Grin).

Kanon has been dropping hints left and right all along. Telling Rinne about she has no problem being used by Saki is another big hint. Enjoy chapter 8!

I'm inclined to believe that the romanizations used in ch37 were something Show made up on the spot cos he needed some fancy English for a couple of reasons. 1. He wrote down lilu as "lil" when lilu is the correct spelling, and 2. The name Al-Kamil shares its name with an Egyptian sultan, which falls pretty close in line with this character's heritage, whereas "Alcamirl" very much looks like Show just plonked アルカーミル into DeepL (which through my own testing comes up with "Alkermill") and turned some Ks into Cs to look fancy.

Both can be ok, Al-Kamil (in the correct Arabic form) or Alcamirl (historical translation style where the hyphen is eliminated and then change some letters to make it more westernized and easy to pronounce). A good famous example is the great Kurdish leader Selahedîjust so n, which universally when translated to Arabic becomes Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn, and then from Arabic to Western (English) name as Saladin. Ibn Sina being spelled as Avicenna is another example.

It is still mind boggling that you, doing it as a fan and translate this for free, do a much better job than the official edition. The official translation did a better job into explaining certain stuff, but what it gains it loses the spirit of it, which is the comedy part. The spirit is much more important.

I have read this manga numerous times and every time I re-read it, I find something "new". Show is very careful about putting tiny, easily ignored detailed into his drawing. Every mystery does not just show up from nowhere, he usually put in some completely insignificant clue that you may never notice. The most obvious example is Sakuya's spying. You can also see the same thing to a much larger extent in Implicity, while a smaller extent in Prism. If there are things that shows up unexpectedly, there must be a clue somewhere before hand. All this means is that, back to the romanization, does he already have it all planned out when he draws the first panel, as if he has already have 40 chapters worth of storyboard in his head?
When Aria says Seikilos was her friend, I know this manga is going to be special. Me having a musicology education background, you have to be special to know that song. It is an extremely difficult to do a musical theory analysis on it because nobody can figure out what mode it is in. It just happens that I have some Koine Greek lessons from my seminarian days, plus I play the Lyre and did research on Byzantine music. More importantly, this is also a tiny clue that most people would not think about it other than thinking that it is an old song. But if you know the musicology, that means Aria is at least around 1900 years old. She cannot be younger than that otherwise Seikolos would have been dead by then. The other clue is that since the song was from Asia Minor, that meant Aria is familiar with that area and possibly from there. It would take close to 30 chapters that she gave us the next hint as in she was born around the time when Persia (Elam) conquered Babylonia. So that means at the very least she was from Mesopotamia. The translation is Ibbi conquered by Elam, not Elam conquered Ibbi; this means the chances of Aria as a citizen of Babylonia is much larger than being an Elamite. Ibbi being a name of the Babylonian king, which is the same way as Khara using an Emperor's name to date herself as opposed to the name of the Empire. Both Sakuya and Jirou uses the Emperor's reign-al years.

Speaking of which, how come Khara is not Kara? Also what is "Barnet" which Arthur was talking about in 36 when he gave his own history to Ichika? A weapon, or the battle of Barnet?

I love this chapter because Konomi finally got what she REALLY wants, which is getting the revenge on Nozomi. Once she gets the feeling that Fuu cannot be manipulated even by having Yukiko's orca, which means the deal fails, she quickly turns around and bite (ok, suck) Nozomi back without Nozomi could even realized the game is already over and the deal is now null and void. I will not be surprised that she will do it anyway even if the deal were to be a success. That may look like a unreasonably sudden twist at the end, but it is actually logical. Her love with Yukiko is strong, but her hate of Nozomi is stronger.

Denpa's English Volume 1 is out, the quality is tolerable. I buy and read every single official translation and the raw, and I would say the English is the weakest, while the Italian is the best so far. Interestingly sometimes when there is an ambiguous word that needs to be translated, all the official versions make the same mistake. For example, when Nozaki showed up for the first time, he was addressed by Ichika in all official versions as "Mr. Ozaki". In scanlation here it is "Uncle Nozaki". In RAW it is somewhere between Uncle or Old Man. Whatever it is, it is not Mr. All you need to do is to look at a couple of panels later and Aria addresses him as Nozaki -san. A different word.

The name Aria is also problematic. Is the spelling specifically given by Show for universal translation, or was given specifically when given to Egmont (German)? The Italian and English maintain it as Aria. But in 37 it is in black and white that the spelling is Alia, since it is Show himself put that inside the panel where a photo of her in exile and hiding with Sakuya wrote the title of the photo with the name spelling as Alia. Surely as Aria's closest and smartest servants, she cannot possibly misspelled her mistress name? So now the question is, did Show himself forget (after all, not until this point at 37, did Show need to spell out Aria's name) and write the wrong word (wrong being Alia), or Alia is right all along but at the time he did not pay attention and spell it as Aria for Egmont? Or finally, we can chalk it up that it is Sakuya's own spelling since these are the only documents we ever see that is in English? It is possible because she spelled Anatasia as Анастаiия as opposed to the correct spelling being Анастасия, who is most likely being the famous Russian Princess.

Quite why it has to be English I have no idea. Arthur is the only English Lilu that we know of. Kara is Indian, Shadi is Persian, Sakuya and Jirou are Japanese, Maoa is Chinese. We do not know where Aria is from, but there is a good chance that she is from the Middle East, perhaps a Sumerian or Babylonian, since she dates her birth according to the event in Mesopotamia. Everyone who dates their birth uses dates or events of their home country.

It does not matter what they say. Hand holding and squeezing means they cross that line. Miyako on top and squeezes, Suga does not pull her hand back. In fact I think Suga turns her hand and holds Miyako, but it is hard to tell from that panel as the drawing is not that clear. If this is not happening inside a haunted house, then there is only one other reason the two will hold and squeeze hands, even if it is done unconsciously. These two just did not really understand their own feelings yet, even though their friends already noticed it. Suga definitely noticed what that meant when Miyako squeezing her hand. Hence the (!). Then we have the body language, the way they sit together. If we have never read this manga, and are just shown those panels, nobody will think that they are not a couple. This is a comedy. Those two more or less are idiots and that is why it is so fun.

For the record, the type of music Matoi does is called "Industrial Music". The manipulation part of industrial music, came from a branch of modern classical music called "minimalist music" started in the 1960s when someone discovered that you can keep a recording tape playing non stop by looping the beginning and the end of the tape, and later, intentionally run it faster or slower while playing it. Then duplicate the tape and now play both looped tapes together but with different speed. It is called Minimalist because you can play 30 tapes together in different speed but each tape only plays the same 6 or 7 notes musical phrase again and again. Meanwhile the Sound part of the Industrial music started in 1970s England. Performing music using whatever things you find in your daily life. or in a factory. or on a beach during holidays. Or performing live by creating sounds on stage using metal smith's tools and materials. The music being called industrial is because most of the sound created are by the working of metal tools in a factory machine. Then sound will then be recorded, and the tapes will be manipulated. When sampling machines were invented, this made industrial musicians the ability to do a whole lot more manipulations of sounds. A lot of these sampling machines has a keyboard. Thus you can create a "proper" song. Later on sampling computer programs were invented. This allowed manipulations to be programed and created numerous types of variations which nobody could imagined could be possible. What Matoi does, is using this method. Record the sound into a digital recorder, then upload it into a computer, run the sampling program, and then download the results so that people can hear the music. Modern industrial music is now frequently played in dance clubs, as one of the most easily recognized sound of an industrial piece is the booming bass and beat. Matoi's different. Her music would be considered as "experimental industrial music", since she only considers sound being important, whether the result turns into a conventional piece of music is not what she is looking for. If the song sounds good, great; if not, as long as the sounds are interesting, then that will be a good result. That is why she recorded sounds of non professional singers like Yuriko or her parents. In her mind, she was recording human voice, not songs.

Once and awhile when I suffer from Yuri burnt out, daphie saves the day. I like this one because of the dialogue makes the manga funny the way it is. Age gap of 11 years (27 vs 16) is not that wide once she keeps growing up, such as by graduation time (29 vs 18) and University graduation time (33 vs 22). Age gap is fun when the younger one is still in middle school or first year senior high though!

This manga is just simply too good, so I went ahead and got the raw and that means at this stage I have finished chapter 8 (end of volume 2). Obviously I cannot write any spoilers. But I can tell you that what Rinne did in Chapter 6.5, would ended up creating an unexpected but understandable effect in chapter 7. That in turn also started the very first sign of what Ressey, who commented two posts above mine, wrote. indeed. VERY GAY and VERY PLEASED., which is very clear by chapter 8. Anyway, keep reading this manga, you will not be disappointed at all.

Graffito is the singular form of graffiti. Basquiat, Haring, and Banksy draw "Graffiti", but a "graffito" by Basquiat was sold in an auction house.

Yup, plutonic, that is how it works. if you have two friends who have been in one of these relationships, you will recognize it. If you have a close friend who is in one, and describing herself as whatever the latest fashionable tag for asexual person such as a demi, multidimensional or even unable to come up with a label, then you will recognize it. I do, I have two close friends who are in this category and they are unrelated. People do date, but is a totally different fashion and mentality. Many are artists, especially sculptors. The relationships are the ones a lot of times between the artist and a muse. Inspiration is the key. Matoi and Yuriko inspire each other. Close friends do not behave the way they do, Couples in love also do not behave like they do. The most obvious sign is the respect and need of a boundary. Close friends like to live next to each other, so they maintain privacy and have their own love lives or even living with partners or their own families. Lovers like to live with each other sharing everything. Here it is neither. They live next to each other but has no signs whatsoever that they want to have a lover let alone have one moving in. On the other hand they have no desire to live together. But usually only couples or family under the same roof will talk about buying essentials and groceries together. Also, when Matoi's mom asked Yuriko about Matoi, Yuriko knows too many details than a normal close friends do, and Matoi's mom seem to expect Yuriko to know all these intimate details. Which is why later on Yuriko said that did not she already counted as family? Think about it, at that moment they knew and be with each other for 7 years already.

Honestly both of them hit win a lottery. it is hard to find another person with that type of sexuality by simply running into one another by random. Before social media.

Anyone actually know what the meaning of the title is? "Anemone is in heat", Isn't it Anemone means buttercup the flower? What does that has to do with heat?
