Do not misunderstand or assume that because I'm criticizing Nanase that I believe that Yuni or Fuuko are guiltless, I just believe that she's a contributing factor to the problems. I'm not really sure how she's any less guilty than Yuni or anything, but you do you.

or bat so hard for the creep for that matter.

I've said it in other story discussions, but I love awful women. I am a proud supporter of women's rights and women's wrongs. It makes for great drama, whether or not there's any lesson learned.

The next four weeks are going to be the longest four weeks ever for me. Before the release date for Hiver was announced, I was in the "it's fine" mode, even expecting it to come out during winter 2022-2023. But now I'm like "GIVE IT TO ME RIGHT NOW, CAN'T YOU SEE THAT I'M LITERALLY DYING?!".

Honestly, I was getting worried when we hadn't gotten any news at all on it, since if you compare the releases for the others (they come out roughly two years apart each) and then jast just drops the release date out of the blue. It was pure dopamine for a day, but now I'm ready to have it do horrible things to my emotional state. Please, please let these weeks go by quickly

Great, now there's two of then

I still feel like the problem is that while Nanase is (was, maybe) Yuni's number one, it doesn't really seem that way the other way around. Maybe my mind will change later, but right now I feel like her actions aren't doing any favors for the relationship and unless something bigger changes then there's just more doubts on the horizon for Fuuko to exploit.

You can't literally expect the other person to keep doting on you forever sure she forgot their anniversary which is wrong but she has a life to focus on which doesn't revolve around her girlfriend, Yuni herself realizes this since she says that she should've called her herself rather than expecting Nanase to do it coz she did it for the past 5 months.

She just got an opportunity to play as a starter which is a big thing for her plus you're 6months into dating, if there is something you're not satisfied with talk it out or break up, Yuni does that in chapter 4 but in chapter 5 she goes back to the old self who desires affection and care which she doesn't even acknowledge that she did something wrong instead she blames Nanase or Fuuko for it.

Well again she is a highschool girl with her first relationship so I don't blame her but I don't think Nanase is playing with her either, I may sound biased since I read the raws but even before that I don't think Nanase is a complete b!tch with no regards for Yuni's feeling

In a relationship where the only time you get to "be in a relationship" is behind closed doors and away from other people (which as we're aware is Nanase's idea), I'd think every bit of affection that they can get matters. And in this, Nanase is not holding up her end of the relationship as well as she could be. And again, as stated, it didn't even need to be anything more than a phone call. Just some time, that Nanase put off so long that Yuni was sure she'd forgotten. It's not "revolving around her girlfriend," it's giving the person who's supposed to be important to you the attention they deserve, on a day where that attention is all the more meaningful.

Also, let's be real, talking it out or breaking up? In a drama yuri? At this time of year? In this economy? Localized entirely within a chapter?

It's not like I'm saying that Yuni's completely blameless though, but keep in mind that Fuuko is deliberately manipulating her. Yuni isn't necessarily in the best mental state regarding the anniversary, and the fact that the relationship between her and Nanase has to be secret no doubt doesn't help matters. All Fuuko has to do is to take advantage of any clouding in Yuni's mind about things and use that to get to Yuni.

Edit:
unrelated to that business, I'd imagine the poly brigade doesn't want to talk too much about it as it's getting further in since they already aren't fans of having polyamory associated with cheating and such

i would've felt a little bad for kenji if he didn't go for the "if she doesn't want to date me that doesn't mean a woman's fine" line, coupled with that expression. Talk about an immediate bad taste in my mouth, how rude.

I think he was in jealous mode (upset about rejection).

Sucks. Shit conclusion to jump to. And the fact that he's shown as still grumpy later means that the little shit can't get over it either. Double sucks.

She is flawed but tries her best meanwhile Yuni on the other hand has expectations of what being in a relationship should be and wants to show to the whole world that she is dating, which Nanase is afraid of but Fuuko isn't.

I don't know about you, but if I had been planning an anniversary thing with my SO and they didn't so much as call to tell me something was up, I'd be pretty upset with them. That hardly seems like "trying her best."

I think, of the three of them Yuni is the one in the least fortunate position. Her desire to be wanted, to be needed isn't being fulfilled by Nanase, who she actually loves, but instead by Fuuko who's using that desire to manipulate her.

Fuuko also craves similar attention, but she's willing to take any emotion directed at her, even if it's Yuni's scorn. If I were to hazard a guess, she wants something tangible. Affection, rejection, something that she can actually feel whether it's through a passionate kiss or a more passionate slap. It's not something she can get from her notTwitter followers, they can throw praise and words at her but in her eyes it's probably all hollow, it doesn't carry the same weight.

Nanase, right now, is the only one I do not feel much for. She may have wanted the relationship with Yuni and been proactive in starting it, but otherwise it feels like it comes second for her. It makes her hard to sympathize with, despite the fact that we're watching her girlfriend getting manipulated into cheating on her. And I think that's going to be the real kicker when it comes to how, or even if her relationship with Yuni continues.

Man, having gone back and forth between countryside living and city living, I really feel that brief moment of missing the convenience of the city.

Hell yeah it's back and the drama gets even better. I can't wait for more

FINALLY. I was looking for this thread, I had to dig through pages upon pages of chapter discussions just to even get close. The forum could really use a search function.

BUT. I'm here because of important news, regarding a very important yuri visual novel series to me, and one that's recommended in the opening post.

Flowers -Le Volume sur Hiver-, the final entry into the series, has gotten a confirmed release date! Literally about a month from now. June 22. There's a physical collector's release too, but that won't happen until December.

I'm so excited. I'm ready to be turned into a sobbing mess because Innocent Grey seems to know exactly which heart strings to play for me. I cannot wait.

ngl, a couple of people directly quoting the mentioned spoiler prior to the edit means it's sticking around, at that point I'm putting the blame more on the people complaining about it.

that said, big fan of the monster smile. a+

What I'm more surprised about is the fact that Elsa is shocked by Garth calling out her affection. It seems like something that she'd gladly admit to rather than be surprised.

Y'know, I had a thought. If Elsa were to let herself be a little bit more of the bad girl, she could use any time the villain system had Evie do something "mean" to her as an excuse to kinda coerce her into a little more skinship.

"Oh, this cut? You can make it up to me by staying in bed with me for a little longer."

I mean, Rio was also a potential source of some kind of conflict, kind of like Yuriko's scars, but equally fading out of relevance before much exciting happens. Which is why I came to my descriptor of "bread sandwich." Plain, boring, you could say it gets the job done but it'll probably leave you wanting when you're finished.

I should really stop letting this bread sandwich of a series take up as much rent in my head as it's doing, but the drama in the discussion is much better than anything I was given in the story itself.

An interesting look into a less than positive event in their relationship. Good stuff. I'll bet they talked it out more when Kon-san was a little less tired and irritable.

Irritable though she may have been she did have a point, but Ayu-san had a point too that I think I agree with a little more. It's not necessarily about responding to the message but just having received the message and knowing what was going on would probably have been good. Especially with regards to a change of plans on a holiday.

See, from the start I've been assuming that Elsa is also a case of an isekai'd person. I'm pretty sure she's more aware of what's going on than she lets on, but since neither of them will outright say anything about it we get to do this little song and dance.

I think I found a better way to describe how I feel about this. The whole time it's like watching a fuse burn, hoping that at the end we're going to get some exciting bang to end off the series. But by the time it gets to the end and you think the firework's gonna pop off into the air, it gives off one measly poot and flops onto the ground.

Which is probably my fault for hoping something would happen, honestly. Maybe I got my own hopes up that even after some of the awkward pacing and the almost stagnant lack of conflict that there'd be something at the end.

The most disappointing part is that Rio could've been great as a source of something, but instead we just see "oh that's the girl matoi is in love with" and then she completely fucking evaporates from the plot. There was pretty much no reason for her to see them or say anything because nothing came of it.

I'd been on the fence about this manga, whether I liked it or not, and I think with that ending it's ultimately just. Meh. I can't say I enjoy it, but I can't say it's bad. Just a resounding "meh."
