This idea that "Himari and Yori spend little time together" is a complete misconception and I don't understand why so many people repeat it over and over again. Just reread the last 10 chapters or so and see for yourself. Again, I think the problem here is that you guys want a manga dedicated only to those two characters, rather than a proper story.

The main characters are yori and hima is not unreasonable to expect a story centered around them instead of having them orbiting a conflict that barely has anything to do with them, heck yori is so disconnected of this plot that she and the main antagonist (shiho) haven't talked to each other a single time.

Btw can't deny the lonely girl is a proper story, a story doesn't need to have drama or angst, it really comes to personal preferences, some people enjoy more calm and fluffy slice of life type of stories and some prefer drama and angst, claiming that your preferences is the only way to tell a "proper" story is objectively not true and dumb

^^yeah i phrased myself incorrectly i´m not saying that every gundam is romeo and juliet or that ends like IBO but usually romance is not the main focus of the story and is surrounded by all kind of messed up stuff. It´s just kinda funny that people act like chapter 12 came out of left field when episode 0 was pretty dark and shows clearly what type of story is
Same as @VPedge i just think is a bit funny that people were expecting a slice of life type of development on a franchise that´s mostly about war and politics

^^^^ Yeah not even a chance, i´m no gundam expert but based on the little i´ve seen romance usually ends in tragedy. it honestly surprised me how long took to get this dark

@Mu I doubt it will get serious- its either gona stay unresolved and end more or less like it is now- with Tai having the odd guilt trips as they get closer but nothing develops as of the end. OR - we will get a time skip - or they will become a promised couple- i.e they learn they have mutual love but agree to wait till mai grows up.

We are not gonna get them hooking up in a physical relationship with Mai age 11 - im almost positive - so im pretty sure this manga will be safe to read and enjoy mostly lightheartedly.

There's also the itou hachi route where a grown woman dates a grade schooler and the people around them supports and cover them

i mean yeah there was almost 0 hype surrounding it and also aired in one of the most stacked season i´ ve ever seen, with a lot of giants of the industry like my hero academia, chainsawman, mob psycho and bleach. The fact that a slice of life managed to get this much attention on this season is nothing but insanity

Absolute hilarious chapter, kana went from insufferable homophobe to loving and caring best friend in the span of 2 chapters, one of those a 22 pages exposition dump.
The gaslighting was also (chef kiss) wonderful, kana was like "you thought we would make fun of your same sex relationship? why would you think such a think? We would never do that".
