So not all of them are queer, and I thought we have the yuri gym wonderland here

Why do you think this chapter makes Nozomi straight? She didn't even understand this was a romantic confession

Nozomi didn't friend zone Miyu. She just didn't even understand the meaning of I love you.
At least she finally showed some emotion for Miyu too, even if that was because she's leaving.

I think this situation of Chidori telling Mai to confess is complicated. Both sides are right imo. So as long as Chidori felt comfortable telling her to do it, it's ok.
If she didn't want to, that would be ok too. Some people (probably most, let's be honest) wouldn't be comfortable with that, and it's understandable. It's not about being a nice person or not.

For Mai, it turns out it was better that she confessed. But if she didn't, I don't think she would never be able to move on either, and she doesn't seem the type who would try to sabotage them or anything.

"That's how much I love Na-Chan. And yet I don't want them to break up"

Mai is very precious. The type of character who is happy as long as their crush is.

The fact that Haru feels like she's some type of replacement for Tsugami is very conflicting to me. I mean yes, Midori did say that Haru is different than her mom and she appreciates her for her, but at the same time the author draws them looking exactly the same and this doesn't help. I was sad reading the scene with the letter, but then Haru pops up and it's like "Tsugami died but Haru is exactly like her, so let's pretend everything's ok". So it feels like a metaphor for trying to deny reality and repress the feelings.

I appreciate that they maintained the mother-daughter type of relationship. Even though it feels like the author was itching to make them something more, at least they took the time to grow apart and find their own paths before meeting again.

I wonder why Tsugami said she was a reject and didn't fit in. Did she mean being gay, or was it that the way of her thinking was very different than the rest of her classmates

Lmao I like how Kaoru has a rare moment of clarity thinking "wait a second, Uta has feelings for me", then a second later she goes nope, gotta stop blaming myself. And this doesn't even make sense as a response for disassociating from the situation so fast lmao.

Why do I like this story? Most of the time I find slice of life, everyday stories boring and they end up being about cute girls doing cliche school stuff.
But every chapter here is very engaging and makes you feel like you are living in it, rather than just reading about some characters while disassociating from them.

There are other stories that I like for the interesting plot and twists, but sometimes writing something like Hana Ni Arashi can be more difficult. Plus the fact that they are both highly likable is very important.

I feel like this will get an anime.

I am definitely fed up with this... Not that the story is bad, or the situations are not funny sometimes... BUT THIS CLOSET Won't spit them out anytime soon will it ?

On their wedding night they'll still be pretending to all their guests that they're just friends.

Hana Ni Arashi ch124: Wedding Cosplay

Lmaooo they could totally think they'd pull that. And the chapter would open like "Nanoha and I are getting married. But that's a secret from everyone"

Once again I'm confused and disturbed by the concept of platonic boob worship. The whole idea of a girl eagerly awaiting an opportunity to play with friends boobs just plain boggles my mind. I couldn't even imagine any straight guy being exited over a chance to see his friend's penis much less touch it.

Well, unlike boobs, those things really aren't usually being shown, even clothed, as part of your good looks. Admiring muscles, on the other hand...

It was pretty amusing to see the two awkward blushing lesbians stand there in a room full of straight girls who were groping each other, though... :D

The concept of boob worshiping is just a common comedy trope in manga (especially). In reality it barely happens.
Plus boobs are less "dangerous". Like, the comparison with male genitals is not accurate, because it wouldn't be as funny and safe if they were grabbing and staring at each others' vajays.

Ohh Kirari x Sayaka! Great job :) they don't have that many scenes together, but if you want to watch a very quick clip of them I'd suggest the "tower scene"
Besides, Kakegurui is a very cool anime imo, and Kirari's character is pretty interesting. Her personality along with Sayaka's make a nice combination.

Nah, "Gross" happened because Uno doesn't love herself. Firstly, she needs to accept and love herself, then everything will be fine with her lovelife.

This manga deals with coming into terms with ones sexuality in a realistic way, and it has shown the consequences of Uno forcing herself to date men. It could simply be because Uno "hates" herself, but first we've never seen her actually hating herself. The one thing that comes close to that is when she tries to go on dates with guys. Second ,the fact that she immediately thought of a guy putting his hand on her shoulder right after she touched Satou shows her discomfort is associated with that.
It's probably a combination of being forced to date men, as well as seeing herself as some type of predator towards Satou because she felt like that when she was hinted on, and also because she is not supposed to feel this about a girl.

It would be nice if there were a reliable source for that, but can you imagine how someone might troll that search?

You can't be sure about a search like that, but there generally are some signs of when someone is flirting or might be interested that actually can help. But you need to look on the psychology sites, rather than asking random people online.

Uno experiences these feelings herself for the first time, and she had always associated them with men hinting on her, which made her uncomfortable. Now she is grossed with herself because she feels like she became the "predator" and has a bad association with relationships.

On another note, the way Satou was looking at her was pretty cute. Uno needs to do a google search "signs your crush likes you back" or something.

A Sayaka x Kirari (from Kakegurui) scene. Something like Kirari trying to make a move on Sayaka, and Sayaka getting really flustered and nervous.

It's not like Kaoru is great herself either. In her own words, she's a coward, indecisive and hides her feelings. Like attracts like, it's not rocket science

I don't see anything in the new chapter that suggests Kaoru likes Uta this way. On the other hand, Reiichi admits Kaoru is wrong by thinking he was never in love with her I think maybe his situation is complicated too, but it seems that he does care.

I kinda ship them at this point
Considering the development we had do far, I think Kaoru and Reiichi would make the best possible outcome. But I feel like it won't end up like that either.

See, when Mei acts more casual without being so stuck in her ways and almost rude to Yuzu, it is actually nice reading about her and Yuzu.
Nice extra, also funny how she smacked Yuzu when she snatched the control

You can identify the Tsubasa-Iwashita chapters from the age gap tag too.
Also I know all the chapter numbers with Aya and Risa because I reread them lol.

How would you call two bis or a bi and a gay in a monogamous relationship in manga?

That meteor hitting earth panel lmao...Iwashita's reactions are always so creative and hilarious.
I've seen the raws yesterday and it's funny that she got so happy because Tsubasa told her she is an adult now. With a reaction like that I thought it must have been something like Tsubasa telling her she likes her.

Also pretty sure that friend thinks Tsubasa is a guy.
Thanks again for the fast translation.

So we're in for 10 or 12 chapters of suffer again because Fujishiro is an idiot ? Izumi just go throught her confession and Fujishiro will still think she only see Kurokawa as a "friend". Yeah well, i begin to understand why people prefer to have the side characters in the front

Just because Fujishiro now thinks this is a friendship thing, doesn't mean it has to drag. Adding some small details between her and Kurokawa would be enough for me, like that scene when Kurokawa was wearing her glasses during the trip and she went really close to Fujishiro's face.

Was it necessary to put this specific chapter about the budding romance between side characters, right at this point of the plot? I'm 100% all for the pair but come on. Before the Izumi issue, we had Fujishiro starting to realize her feelings and we're not gonna follow up on that? I'm fine with this chapter but can the author seriously not put this after more development with the damn main characters. I seriously want to be excited for Izumi x Iroha, but I came in this chapter expecting just a TINY bit of progression with Fujishiro and Kurokawa.

I think that if it was .5 chapter like the one where they were playing, it will have been fine but here it's an entire chapter focus on Iroha, which frankly was more of a gag character in the trip and it's at least abit strange. Whole arc was about Izumi coming to an end with her feelings for Fujishiro and Fujishiro realizing her feelings for Kurokawa, I hope at least. I understand we need to blow some steam but come on. It's a bit of dragging. I will be honest that couldn't reallybe happy for Izumi because well, i don't care about Iroha at all since she arrive. She is like Nene from Citrus, even a bit more annoying.

I don't mind Iroha, neither do I find her annoying, but the timing to develop her and Izumi is not right.
I just hope next chapter the author finally jumps into the main pairing and not continue with these two.
Wonder if the author is out of ideas for the main pairing, that's why they delay it so much.

MacySan posted:

I explained above. The fact that someone is depressed doesn't give them a free pass on their actions either. Her actions are understandable to a certain degree, but what I don't excuse is someone trying to do bad to others who are not in fault of their situation. If she acted like that towards her step mom for example I'd get it. But she is lashing on people who are not at fault here and are trying to help her.
This conversation can go on cycles and we can keep on repeating the same thing with different words, because there is no objectively right in this situation and everyone sets the line on a different level. But it's not about not showing empathy. Almost everyone has their reasons of faulting others, does that mean they have the right to do so?

I just find how she treats Sakura pretty distasteful, because Sakura had nothing to do with her unfortunate situation.

You're very badly missing the point. Empathy is indeed the root of peoples' problem with your criticism of Ashima. As random pointed out understanding Ashima's actions is very basic human psychology. Your biggest criticism of Ashima is her pushing away those who are trying to help her but as has been repeatedly explained to you, this is completely normal behavior for someone in her situation. And that's not even addressing the point she's a hormone-addled teenage girl so the issue is going to be amplified.

You're using her behavior as justification for your view that nobody should bother helping her. That view is explicitly a lack of empathy. And your constant refusing to understand the situation when it's explained to you in a straightforward manner elevates your lack of empathy to spouting off on a subject you clearly do not understand only aggravating the situation more.

Before getting so angry maybe bother checking your reading skills next time. I literally just said in my latest post that I don't mean she shouldn't get help. You don't sound like you want to exchange opinions, you sound like you're just want to lash out.

Gosh this thread is toxic.
