Yeah. Those kids were crazy. It does, however, remind me of some of the stuff you sometimes hear about toxic idol culture and idols not being able to have boyfriends or do certain "impure" things, because it gets in the way of their "fans" fantasies.

I've never seen the shishi-odoshi sound being localized as "doink" before so I'm not sure how standard it really is and how clear it would have been to the readers. I just went for a bath-related sound that could easily be extended with a ー.

I swear the only times I’ve ever seen it that sfx has been “doink.” Not sure which manga offhand, though. It was kind of memorable because I had no idea such things existed until I started reading manga.

I just listened to one on youtube and I can't say "doink" feels like a particularly good representation of the sound.

The action scenes in this manga are top tier. They're a lot more detailed and their choreography is a lot better than some traditional shonen manga that are, nominally, more explicitly about fighting than a silly yuri manga about cute girls being cupids, but with guns.

Also, for some reason, this chapter reminded me of the old girls-with-guns animes, like Noir. It's not so much the specifics of the scene, but the overall feel of a story about cute girls doing violent things with guns and the actual attention to detail used to portray and contextualize the violence.

Rip their relationship lol. So sad.

So, how long 'til they're back together ya think? A week? Maybe 2 weeks?

My money would be on a matter of days, if that. Manatsu is pretty proactive, most of the time.

Maybe sumie really thought that this was a transactional thing. Maybe her feelings aren't the same.

I think it's more that she's afraid of being hurt and was using the whole seven days thing as a way to protect herself. The way Manatsu asked her question keeps the temporary, trial girlfriend, framing (even if most people would get that she wants to keep going), so Sumie answered in a way that's safe for her. I suspect that if she'd asked in terms of wanting to be her real girlfriend, not as a trial and without a time limit, Sumie would have said yes. Similarly, I suspect the climax is going to have them end the trial relationship and then, shortly after that, Manatsu will screw her courage to the sticking place and give Sumie a proper confession, as if she was asking for the first time, and Sumie will say yes.

I'm also starting to wonder if Sumie's supposed to be on the autism spectrum, given her reactions to certain stimuli, her relatively flat affect, and her potential issues with missing implications or underlying meanings.

This continues to be cute and entertaining, but I've also realized two things:

First, unlike a lot of the more traditional wifu-from-space rom-coms, Lulu is actually considerate of the people around her. Normally, at least the first alien is some combination of fairly arrogant and fairly headstrong. In particular, they very rarely leave the protagonist much say in their relationship or where they'll be living. By contrast, Lulu seems very empathetic with the people around her, even beyond Ten, and we see her actively considering the inconvenience and potential trouble she's caused Ten.

It's a very nice change of pace and, I suspect, a large part of why this take on an old concept feels so fresh.

The second thing I realized is that her heals are just strait up spikes. Or, more accurately, I realized she's going to be keeping the costume with the floating thumbtack heals, at least in the near term. Given her size and the points on those things, that can not be good for the floors she's walking on. On a related note, I wonder if the fact that she's the only student wearing her outside shoes indoors will be brought up.

That's the one. Thank you for finding it. It's also worth noting that there's a webtoon version linked on the Author's page that goes up to pg. 28. Unfortunately, it hasn't updated since 2023 and the author's patreon doesn't seem to be much further ahead, but there is a fairly recent post that says they're getting back into things, so maybe we'll get lucky and the story will continue.

You were right, that's a younger Violet a while after the dragon attack, at her grandfather's grave (most likely). Also, Violet said out loud that Dahlia used to work for Graat in chapter 8.

There's more to it than that, because at the end of chapter 10 Violet calls Dahlia ""**Dear Sister**" (in bold in the original), but Dahlia doesn't seem happy about it.

"It tastes like a lie" is such a great line, but I wonder if it also foreshadows anything.

Cute and fluffy as always, but I kind-of wish the makeup didn't completely hide her scar and she learned to accept it, but because it would have differentiated further shown the differences between her and the witch and because it raises questions about why the witch didn't just use some makeup, if the scar bothered her so much.

Could someone explain what the UTAU is and how it's related to Vocaloid?

The way Momo cut Yanagi off before she could say her little sister is in love almost makes me wonder if, on some level, she's aware of her ... unwholesome intentions and really doesn't want to have to confront them. That doesn't really jive with Momo thinking her sister hates her, though, so if that is the case than she only just realized what's going on.

Maybe she just learned double team.
