I love food and cooking as much as anyone but personally I’ve had enough dessert. When the manga girls are eating headcheese and offal, I’ll be interested. Conservative censorship, otaku fordism, and gacha mindsets have created a vacuum of creative intrigue. The artists with an appreciation for the eroticism of liberated young women railing lines and having affairs no longer find an outlet in manga. We desperately need our delinquents back. 90% of new releases are the fantasy of people who both fear and shun the DoorDash courier and all the world they cannot see from their gaming chair. And oh, she’s a violent gang leader who secretly eats pastries all day and mostly just accosts street artists minding their own business? She’s a cop.

I get where they're coming from though. I really am not a fan of these one-note premises. Just way too shallow. Maison Ikkoku was a romcom and from 40 years ago. Why can't we have a yuri romcom like that? This is just air and nothing.

I'll admit that I'm a bit worried that this will just stay regular Kirara fluff and not really develop into anything, but there's already hints of how having to hide their love of their respective foods is indicative of how they have to slot themselves into acting more masculine/feminine more broadly. It's not like the author can't do something interesting with this premise.

As long it progresses into full romance between the two I don't mind if it's fluff. There could be some more complex elements here, or it could simply be light hearted and easy going. I do enjoy some Kirara fluff myself so I'm not really sweating it either way. Life is hard and cute things are nice, that's all I have to say haha

Little by little they're getting closer, and it's cute to see so far. I also generally really enjoy the art and character designs, thanks for the translation! I'm looking forward to seeing their relationship grow more.

Well, I guess that was it then. The story was maybe a tad pointless, but at least it had a sweet ending. Nice artwork, too.

The story to me was about a young woman working through her depression with the help of someone who cares about her, resolving difficult feelings with her sister, along with falling in love and finding happiness. I personally think the story achieved what it set out to do, and that it was the opposite of pointless, but to each their own.

^Honestly if you're enjoying the anime and have the time I'd say to give the manga a read from start to finish. Both the anime and manga are good I think, but there's a little bit that gets trimmed off with the anime, and sometimes aspects of the art differ here and there. Plus the difference of anime and manga being different mediums and so fourth. So I think both experiences are worth it if you're enjoying the series.

^Time and a Place. Going on ship art and bringing up another ship with one of the characters is a recipe for trouble regardless of anything else.

@Bielna With Gwitch the anime studio didn't say that, a bad exec at Bandai (their producer) said that. Which didn't actually matter because as I said previously the director of the anime later said they're married. So it's very canon, unless you want to let a random homophobe that didn't actually work on the anime tell you it isn't. Plus regardless of what anyone says it's clear that they're married at the end of the series, and no meddling can change that.

@Donkey Kong Yeah I think the creators were hit with some restrictions, as is per usual with media in general unfortunately. However as I said before the whole marriage element is very important to the series overall and their relationship, along with the story the creators were going for, and also the fact that the director confirmed it at the end of the day. So even with the restrictions the fact that we have a Gundam series with a canonically married lesbian protagonist is huge.

Falin's expression in the 2nd panel says to me that she knows she could top Marcille without any effort
