What turned me off about the latest LWA is how many people suddenly starting shipping the opposite chromosome characters when Akko forgets all about any attraction in a flash to friendzone the dude and Diana probably wouldn't care if either of the two dudes died in a car crash.

It did kinda feel like they were trying to set up a romance there, though. I mean, it was a terrible attempt at it, but the show is awful at character interactions in general

A good first half. Pity there's no second half...

Not really digging the new Tokyo Me- er, Precure. The sweets theme is laid on way too thick, and there's not much else of interest. On the plus side, red and purple will probably be shippable with how much the OP pairs them up

Saku and Nina are pretty much a couple, aren't they? Kinda like parents to Nono.

Saku seems a bit too repressed for them to have gone very far

scanlators tend to skip chapters that were covered by animes, unfortunately. I get they feel it might be redundant, but I enjoy reading manga more than watching anime and even then, mangas tend to go more to the point while adding some more details where animes might skip or tone down some things. :/

I don't think it's the redundancy so much as that the scanlators only have so much time, which is best used dealing with material the audience hasn't seen before

no, its the usual anime/manga thing where general writing does not match the setting/context. "super deep and thoughtful" (or like in this case, attempting to be) hardly goes with highschool children. In this case they all behave and interact way too "maturely" (or more like: uncanny) for mere children.

That's not even an anime/manga thing. Most writers are adults, and correspondingly have difficulty accurately writing children

Little Witch Academia seems okay. Good animation and the protagonist isn't as obnoxious as in the OVA version. With an all-female cast there'll probably be some yuri subtext

Gabriel Dropout has way less cringe than the manga version, and a bit more fanservice. Also want to say it's a bit gayer. Anywho, decent comedy

Schoolgirl Strikers seems alright. Good action, and the more annoying characters didn't get much focus. Am moderately worried about how they're going to handle all the secondary characters

Urara Meirochou is more impressive for the visual artistry than anything else, but is still a functional CGDCT comedy. Also, a lot of yuri bits, both subtext and explicit crushes
