Also, they are already living together. Naturally, anyone she's coming out to will know that whoever she lives with is gay, too. So essentially you are forcing her to come out whether she wants to or not - that can and should be handled more delicately than "those are my parents so it's none of your business". You know, the entire pesky "I'm in a relationship so I actually have to talk about things with my partner" stuff ^^

Sure Koyuki was praised by classmates in ch.1 but that has had zero bearing on the character development.

Well. I'm not saying it's impossible. But it strikes me as stupid in this context nonetheless.

The feeling I get is just that the author decided to throw in all classic tropes - all-girls school. Flower gardens. Arranged marriages. Deranged psychopaths. It feels to me just like a "I'm picking this classic setting and adding a few twists to it"; I'm a bit dubious about how concerned this story is with anything beyond this.

It's pretty much only the "density" that makes this so crazy - you could probably pick each singular "incident" and find real life occurrences that fit. Some of the fucked up stuff here isn't even rare.

But I agree, I don't think the author is particularly making any sort of comment about anything (I find that manga generally don't ^^).

Mh. I'm frankly not convinced. It strikes me more like the chapter about sleep-kissing, and testing when swapping happened during a kiss ... it circles closer to the center of what's going on. But it's not an all-encompassing answer ^^;

e: didn't consider the swapper<->no swapper angle either. So really we actually don't even know why it didn't work: didn't it work because they aren't romantically compatible? Didn't it work because she's not in her own body? Or did it not work because the other somehow is a general "non-swapper" (and if so, is that what humans generally are, or is she maybe some sort of "null" exception?)?

The fact that it is now proven that they can swap with only their one specific partner kind of contradicts all this. Their ability can only be used with their soul mate and thats pretty damn romantic.

It might simply mean they can't body-hop. A -> B -> C isn't possible. Doesn't mean that A -> C isn't as possible as A -> B.
