Wait, no movies yet? There are so many... Some that I liked:
Bye Bye Blondie, Kyss Mig, La vie d'Adèle, Jack & Diane (probably my favorite, also: Juno Temple ♥♥♥), the Whispering Corridors (Korean horror franchise, the first ones have some subtext, second one has a explicitly lesbian couple; don't remember about the others), Butterfly (chinese movie)...

Memento Mori, mentioned in the comment above yours, is second in the Whispering Corridor series, and apparently one of the first Korean films to have lesbian characters. I've got it on DVD, although I haven't watched it for a while.

Yes, 2nd was my favorite of the series (3rd one is good too). First and third are also a teensy bit gay (subtext only, tho)

I was disappointed by Spider Lilies, but I guess it has more to do with me being too hyped by the summary (and the fact that it took me forever to finally get the movie) than by any fault it had.

Will try to remember some more later

EDITing to add stuff: Lost and Delirious, Cracks (more Juno Temple; also Eva Green)

So at the end the love she felt for Fleur was different at the love she felt for her husband.

She tells her feelings are the same as bridesmaid's though.

The talk with Fleur at the end was her attempt to help Fleur to also move on her unrequited feelings.

I've said that before, but I don't think confessing to someone in love with you is a good way of helping 'em move on. It would, however, take it off your chest so you can move on. For me, though, it's still a dick move.

That is really fucked up logic.

Maybe. Probably because it was not "logic" (i.e. "thinking"; maybe using the word "think" was not very precise), but "feeling" speaking. I can only speak from my subjectivity, but I find something like "I had no romantic interest in you" (or the like) much easier to digest than "I had romantic interest in you for some time, but I actually have other priorities" -- that after just havin' seen said person marry someone else.

I don't think the Bride confessing all that was planned, but more a reaction to seeing how pained Fleur was during the ceremony, and realizing she had to make a clean break or Fleur would keep hurting herself. It's possible she didn't realize just how much the marriage was hurting Fleur or the intensity of her feelings, and was hoping that she would get past them, only to find that wasn't the case. It's hard to tell.

Making a clean break is understandable; it's confessing to bridesmaid that I think was unecessary (and below the belt). The confession'd sure help bride move on, but it's possibly even worse for bridesmaid.

I'm trying to decide if I'm more creeped out by the fact that Otome's 13 and sensei's 26 or that I was totally okay with it.

Imo the Bride confess to Fleur so they can both moving on fron their feelings, there's nothing cruel here.

That's some interesting way of helping your friend to move on from their feelings. "I always knew about your feelings for me, I have romantic feelings for you too, but I decided that I will marry someone else, after all."
The first part'd be okay, if a little harsh on the person, but the rest was really unecessary and felt more like rubbing salt to the wound.

That was pretty despicable on bride's part... Hopefully bridesmaid will finally move on.

That was pretty amusing, I liked your story's mood (shadows worked really well with it) and characters. Anatomy/proportions could use some work sometimes. The SDs didn't work too well (for me, of course) in the story.
Overall, good job. Congratulations on your oneshot! ( ゚Д゚)b

Any is fine! But manga from Japan are sometimes costly, due to the shipping fees. Sometime 6~24 bucks.

$6 doesn't sound too bad to me...
Now, answering your question

Where have you guys bought your manga, and for what price?

I simply buy licensed stuff from Book Depository, mainly 'cause I don't have to pay for shipping. (Which, in my case, would be around 20 bucks, plus exchange rate). Prices're around $12, I guess? I believe there's cheaper stuff too.

Am I right to guess we're talkin' about manga in jp? Or is it about oficial translations and such (or both)?

They are cute as always! I wonder how Yamada'll react when Kase-san teaches her about the birds and the bees...

If this ends with them breaking up because they go to different colleges, I don't know what I'll do...

I doubt something like that will happen, unless the author is a very talented (and very cruel) troll.

We started this topic in the Citrus thread, but it's bigger than just one series. What are your favorite "serious" yuri series, the ones that really set your critical standards for the genre?

Oh! I haven't finished it yet (as a matter of fact, I'm really not up-to-date with even the scans), but Gunjō also impressed me very much.

Out of curiosity, what are some of your critical favorites in the yuri genre, the ones that have set your standards for this kind of critique?

I don't think I really compare any series. My main criticism of Citrus is that the melodrama just piles up -- I don't like melodrama in general. I'll admit that I don't know why I keep reading it (I'm certainly much less entusiastic about it, though). Maybe I'm more masochistic than I thought. Also: Harumin.
I have many favorites; if we are talking about drama, I guess I'll say Pieta and Kimi Koi Limit? I also really like Kissing Mars. I guess I tend to prefer one-shots though -- I really like short forms of storytelling.

To me it seems clear that she was desperate to somehow keep her with her. She was grabbing at anything she thought might have a chance of making that happen. Feel free to pick this apart; it's just the way I saw it.

(& OrangePekoe & Random Reader)
Yes, I got that. The thing is: it didn't convince me. So, the same Ai that was always all about being self-reliant suddenly goes "you can pimp me too"? Didn't convince me at all. Can it happen in RL? Sure. Here, it was just (for me, of course) poorly done.

Personally, I think Amano said, "aw fuckit! Let's put in some pimping, a once off kiss, depression, suicide, one sided love, and a total look-alike little twin/not-so-twin sister that shows up at the end because, why the hell not!"

Yes, that may very well be true. Now, the question is if it was a good move.

My point was that it's not exclusively for yuri (i.e. "a yuri forum"). Again, I may be seriously wrong.

That was my reaction too... The "you can sell me too" from Ai was also too much for me.

Aside from Citrus and that one one shot from Wildrose, pretty much the only things she's written are actually those kinds of things. She was just the artist in the series you linked.

Wait, so she wrote SxM smut before? Maybe we can really hope for some spanking session, then? Mei surely deserves one.

Don't be a het troll in a yuri forum, please

I may be seriously in the wrong here, but I don't think Dynasty's a yuri forum.
