Yuri...media...huh. Notes From The Garden Of Lilies is an eternal fav, because it's got great teasing dynamics that don't show up much. I love Simoun, the anime, because it's all about lesbian-powered spaceships. Who would not be interested in that? Then, as it goes on, it descends into this dark, intense sci-fi commentary on war and love and death and personal meaning and...yeah, it's pretty great.

I don't really know that I have a "favourite" tho. That's such a strong word...

The sad and terrible part of living where I do is that the state governor AND my town's mayor are gutless cowards who've caved to the anti-mask fuckwits and refuse to issue mask mandates.

That really sucks. My state has its own issues, but both the city and state have "evolved" over time towards mask mandates, etc. Even so, the fact those measures are even necessary, and the degree to which resistance towards them remains is...eternally disappointing. The mandates really do help, though.

I was looking for designs with a specific bird on Redbubble and found this artist who specializes in drawing birds wearing hats. And just that. But he does that niche really well. I mean, look at this bullfinch wearing a beret! I want to buy all of them.

Those are so, so cute. I'm really tempted to grab some greeting cards or something just as a fun way to share them lol

Pending us taking a bit of time to look over their circumstances, it's likely. Personally, I'm always a little bit hesitant about adding extra chapters of a long(er) running manga when it still ends in a Dropped result. We'll see!

I want to recommend that in addition to the tragedy tag there should also be one for suicide or suicidal tendency if appropriate, because I know that suddenly being confronted with this topic can be very disturbing, especially if one has experienced the loss of a loved person, or even is or was suicidal her or himself.

Yeah, I think I'm favour of a broad suicide tag, but figuring out exact guidelines might be tricky. I'll definitely pass this on and we'll try to figure it out. Thanks.

Don't get me wrong, i'm all about supporting the artist, heck i have all phisical volumes of kase san and others. The thing is that they offer their works traslated at least in english and not everyone is able to read kanji or has the time to learn it, so scans are a way to allow us to get this works. (Or maybe they have an eng. version and i'm just overeacting)

Oh, they're in English. You can read the licensing post here. From the looks of it, the first chapter will likely be posted in January. I compiled a bit of info about the licenses, so I'll make a post about that in the coming days, if able.

As someone who is yet to read through this series, I am...immensely confused by this stuff about the chapter ordering. Where are chapters 19 and 20...? Like, 19 comes after 18, right...? And you can't get to 21 if you don't have a 20 first, right...? This thread makes me feel like I ended up in the Twilight Zone

I'm nearly halfway through School Zone now and I've gotta say first, I did not realise just how many avatars are here come that manga. Second, I can totally understand why, now that I've read quite a bit of it. Not only great setting and designs, but really memorable characters and sequences that left me going, "Oh! Now I get that avatar!" Not a lot of series I've read have that kind of energy, it's pretty neat.

Amusingly enough, I've upvoted both videos already. It's cool to see Thor big enough to be recommended in places now!

I still haven't figured out if all the intriguing dissection the game has brought upon itself is mostly down to its own merits, or something more happenstance. Perhaps, it's even possible that such dissection was meticulously manufactured into the game to begin with. In any case, the seemingly endless videos and essays written about it often do stumble upon new ground. Interesting stuff, all around.
