I still think about this series sometimes, the characters have a lot more life than probably 50% of the moe stuff that gets 30+ chapters so it pains me to see such a good series forced to end after barely one volume’s worth. The fact that it wasn’t just subtext either was really wonderful. Overall this series got absolutely cheated and I can’t wait to see more from this author.

I’m also curious about the extra edition mentioned by @Kirin, I’d love to see it someday.

Damn these backstory chapters on Chiyo... when Ichika turned around and Aria saw Chiyo as Ichika said “she was always smiling” that part really got to me.

I’m also curious about Chiyo’s life, did she actually fall for a man and raise a family because she wanted to? Or was she just doing so because of the era she lived in? She seemed happy enough so I’ll hope it was the former.

I think Ruby knows because I bet she actually lowkey stalks azurite. This is starting to feel like a Katarina/Maria type situation where one constantly confesses and the other acts like an idiot trying to hide a secret that ultimately doesn’t matter too much

Yeah Asumi said the kiss was plain because she was in 5th or 6th grade and hadn't started feeling romantic attraction yet. Asumi was 3 years older so I'm assuming its the difference between a 10 and 13 year old, so one person pre-puberty and the other in the beginnings of puberty

Did they kiss in any chapter?

Their first kiss was technically in chapter twelve when Kasumi yoinked Sakurako’s chocolate out of her mouth.

Second is while drunk off of whiskey chocolates, Sakurako kisses Kasumi at the picnic with their friends.

Then in 36.5 Sakurako licks some yatsuhashi crumbs off of Kasumi’s face while Shouko and Seri are over

Chapter 42.5 Seri and Shouko kiss (although it cuts off before they fully meet)

At the end of chapter 51 Sakurako kisses Kasumi to help her get rid of a kink in her neck

In chapter 53 (one of my favorite chapters) Kasumi kisses Sakurako as a welcome home kind of thing

There are probably more after, or stuff I missed, but I’m tired of searching now so I’m just gonna post as is

Happy birthday Momo! Rereading this series now really makes me appreciate how these plot lines that we’ve only learned about just now were being subtley woven in ever since chapter 1. This manga has a lot of reread value, there’s so much you pick up on the second time around.
