Well there's this RPG for PSP called Agarest War: Marriage where you play as this guy who can marry someone or multiple someones and have kids or something... The catch is that later you get to play as said kid and if it's a girl there's nothing stopping you from making a yuri harem

Yeah that's just me though and i'm ready to let it slide if the direction is good, but more than anything i'm afraid that the characters will have really stale facial expressions, Morishima doesn't have much variety at all when it comes to faces and it would be more jarring on a animated work

Could be, but i believe something happened in between since senpai gets extra blushy when she says that and gets desperate, likely to stop her from telling the readers any more information, it's a little too strong of a reaction

The anime was confirmed before the manga, the manga is like a adaption that arrived before, wouldn't be surprised if the character design for the anime is different
