Well, once I beat any stage, I feel like it's incredibly easy in retrospect, because now I have complete understanding of it and know how to beat it. But there's difference between beating a stage in few runs without really having to think too hard about strategy, how I beat SV-1 and having to spend dozens of attempts memorizing exact pathing and timing of enemies, where and when enemies spawn and what I'm supposed to do when. I understand and even expect later stages, that drop more/better drops to be harder, but the first 2-3 ones usually are fairly easy, especially since you won't even be really farming them. What really annoys me is that I know once I beat this stage I'll never run it again, so I really only need to beat it to progress further, so I feel like it's unnecessary hard.
The second stage especially since the mages don't just go straight to the blue box, they walk back and forth for a while before actually going into your base, leaving you time to activate the detectors.
If it was just caster, then sure, it wouldn't be end of the world, but unless you cheat with SA, you can only kill them near detector, because you can't block them, while dealing with bottom line that quite quickly start spawning butchers, which aren't the easiest to deal with, without maxed out operators. In fact you need to deal with them fast, because operators tend to focus bottom line over casters when you reveal them so in order to kill them, you need to kill bottom line first. And that's not to mention that detector has recharge time and casters spawn quite fast, so you actually need to time it properly. It's nice most of map is in bushes, but it become kinda meaningless when you need to deploy all your operators next to detector anyway or deploy a lot of medics, to keep everyone alive from casters. And as if that wasn't hard enough, not too long after map starts enemy detector units start spawning top that you need to deal with as well, otherwise casters will murder all your operators. And as cheery of the top in middle of the stage, freaking mortar guy is starting to spawn. So on top of all the bs that is there already, you also need to deploy all your operators incredibly fast to deal with mortar guy and not get caught off guard. Especially since order of deployment matters, so just like with Faust, that means you need to setup before morter guy shows up and once they start spawning, you can't deploy anyone else, because they'll just get focused. I'm sorry, but that's just not the kind of map you want to lead with in your event.
You can complete both of the first stages with just 3 stars (+ Shaw for the 1st stage). You can see the strategies from KyoStinV, here's stage 1 and stage 2.
Of course you can. I'm pretty sure if I spend enough time on this map, I'll figure it out. The thing is it'll take way longer than it should and I can't spend ap on later stages, until I unlock and beat them, so I'll be forced to spend ap on normal stages, kinda wasting it. I intended to just copy how Eckogen did it, but when I was playing event, he didn't do video on it yet.
This wouldn't be the first time. It is not unique to Arknights to have a That One Level. For me, it was 4-7 (didn't have Lappland at the time) which even with Lapp is kinda annoying. There's also 5-3 and 5-7. For beginners like myself when I was starting, 3-4 can be harder than 3-8 especially since clearing 3-4 is necessary to unlock elite 2 promotion. Something which you just get used to I guess.

Also the recommended level for the first two stages are E1 Lvl1 and E1 Lvl35 respectively, you don't need to max the low star units to use. The reason Kyo has his maxed out is cause he already E1 maxed his 3 stars and E2 20'ed every single character in his account. You never need to have the exact same levels as his to follow his guide.
That's why I prefer to watch Eckogen than Kyo. Even if he disclaim it every time, the truth is he's still using E2 lvl 20 operators and that level difference can make all the difference. I know from experience. So unless you actually use E1 max lvl, you'll not know whatever they're enough or not. So the fact Eckogen actually uses E1s and beats it, is much more convincing.
Again, I'll shill oyuki ch. He does upload his guides early due to playing in CN. I think his vids should be understandable enough?

If you have entered a stage once, whether failed it or practice, you can then look at the info and see the enemies.
Actually in order to get info on enemies you saw in map, you need to lost. If you quit in the middle, whatever practice or actual run, the enemies you saw won't be added to database. It's pretty annoying to be honest.
Ah my bad.
So they added that view stories in the game feature already. It's pretty neat, but I don't understand 1 thing. So I got enough records to unlock events I actually finished immediately, but rest is locked. And while in shop of current event you can buy more of that unlocking items and unlock Operational Intelligence, all the stories from Public Affairs, seems to be unavailable. Does that mean I can only unlock them by playing reruns?
Also this medal thing looks fun, but does it actually do anything?
Medals are just for bragging rights. You can put medals on your profile lol. Tho how many people actually check other people's profile...
Note about event stories, for Grani event, Heart of Surging Flame (Summer) and Code of Brawl, you need to have participated in the event to read the stories. For the others, you use the Information Fragments (looks like a film strip) to unlock them. You can buy from the shop. There is both a limited amount and an infinite amount that can be bought.
