Calling the writer incompetent because you can't comprehend what a full-face blush, pounding heart, and a freaking lightning bolt imply is a bit harsh. Manga is a visual medium and they put every possible visual cue into indicating that the maid was genuinely infatuated

Was anyone really arguing that the maid wasn't infatuated, though? Rather, the entire discussion from the crowd who dislike it almost entirely revolves around the playful "blackmail" angle, or a personal distaste for rich top x maid ("poor") bottom. As Kirin notes there's a very good reason that gap stories, even in manga, strongly tend to empower the less well-stationed.

That said, while this thread certainly appears to be a complete outlier, I don't really have much patience for it. No 4 page oneshot demands discussion this divisive, heated, and disrespectful. It's disappointing.

For manga that are completed over a year ago, they're really only found when specific tag searches are used, or they're featured. [Especially] given that this manga has a rather unusual tag, it seems better to go with the proper tagging to allow folks looking for Polyamory to find the content they want.

Just watched the OVA for the first time. It was too short, but I thought it was cute. Far more faithful in both tone and content than the Kase-san OVA was, so I left more or less satisfied. There's a little bluray extra on MangaDex, we should get that here. Sato has also been posting even more small drabbles of new content on Twitter and Pixiv than previously mentioned. Guess I should get on that sometime?

I was going to post that, it's a genuinely funny and interesting read. This part just hooked me tbh:

Saying this will also get you killed. Even if a relationship is intentionally depicted as yuri, some will nonetheless insist it's all a fleeting delusion, people who can't take a single step out of their heterocentric values where love only exists between a man and a woman. The art is still frikkin' wild, but the story and pretty much everything else in here is top-notch too. I'm so happy I was recommended this. Really impressed with Battan's ability to weave in and out of different perspectives and story beats without it ever interrupting the general flow of the manga. By the end, it felt like almost everyone directly touched by this romance had been given an opportunity to shine. Major bonus points for including multiple coming out scenes! The series really does the Adult Life tag justice.

Meanwhile I feel so blessed?? Not only is everything about the JP production top-notch, but then we get such a strong cast of scanlators working the whole way through as well? I'm eternally impressed by the dedication and skill Ranka and Martin bring to every release they touch. Thanks so much to both of them for all their work! Really glad I read this, made my 2020 a better year.
