I came for the Tomboy tag... And then I became quite interested in this one, especially because of the translation note

Mitsuhara is so cute... This one is very good, I like this type of dynamic

Let's recap friend by friend.

Hinata - Oblivious as fuck. Can't read the room to save her life, made up for her by her sheer enthusiasm and the force with which she sets up events.
Hirose - Wingmanning. Knows what's up with Takamine and Sakura, doesn't know what's up with Hatori.
Hatori - Ambiguous and go-with-the-flow style. Seems fine no matter what happens, focused on Hirose.
Takamine - Dense and cowardly. This adorable little idiot probably hasn't crystalized her feelings yet but instinctively places herself everywhere Sakura is.
Sakura - Not dense, but cowardly. Knows exactly what's going on but isn't doing anything about it either. Sakura! Take charge you idiot!

The handholding scene makes me think that Sakura is self-conscious in a way I wasn't expecting. Like, she's so aware I'm wondering if she's got some gay anxiety, as in afraid of how Takamine may respond to her gay feelings. So far this manga hasn't really felt like it would delve into that kind of a topic, but it's always a possibility.

I like your Sakura's analysis! I kind of noticed that she was a little too embarrassed, but couldn't think more deep than that.

They look really in love, the way that they look at each other... Beautiful couple!

This chapter was really cute, especially when Takamine realized that she likes spending time with Sakura!

What a sweet ending, Rika being happy with himself and "looking cool" makes me genuinely happy. This ending is the best one for this manga, because I think the story is about the start of the change in the lives of Rika and Satsuki, so another ending wouldn't fit the story premise.
Also, I'm glad Satsuki and Rika are still friends!

I am liking this manga a lot! I love the little details, it's so romantic and cute... The protagonists are really interesting. Takamine's struggle is what picked my interest, actually, I have things in my life that I really care, seeing the point of view pf a character that's really different from me makes me want to know more about it... I'm glad Takamine is slowly finding things that she truly cares and, as a bonus, she's starting a friendship and romance with Sakura.
I can't wait for more chapters!

Cerberus and butches-and-chicken, thanks so much for your genuine responses to my post earlier. I came from a place of ignorance, because the strained/estranged relationships in my life are much different circumstances. It was very nice to get others' perspectives, and I understand better now <3

I don't super get the whole "im just the dad that abandoned him" perspective. Maybe if he really is that resentful, Satsuki wouldn't be receptive seeing his dad, but like. Mom has full custody. He can't see his kids, but if one of them is in trouble, can't he go see him?? I think it's worse in the long run that Uncle is hiding that he knows his dad. I've never been in that sort of situation before, though, so this is me just wondering.

I also wonder if Satsuki will work through his "het" attraction, or if he'll discover gay people exist and he's one of them.

I think Satsuki, in the emotional and mental state sense, isn't ready for see someone who abandoned him in the past. Seeing someone from your past who hurt you so much when you're in your worst, it will destroy you even more. My reasoning may be the same as his dad's.
I know it's strange for Satsuki's dad not try to see his son, but I think it's for the better, for now.

About his sexuality, I think it'll take time, but that's okay, attraction and identity are complicated for a teenager, especially when they're already suffering with other things. I know Rika is hurt (I would too if I was in his place), but it is complicated.
