It could be that they just skipped that chapter for Volume 5 and it'll be in Volume 6. It wouldn't be the first time for Slow Start either. Volume 6 comes out at the end of February, so we'll know then.

We used the digital raws without any extra filters. I don't know what the publisher did with the files before release, but I'm pretty sure it's drawn digitally, too.

Kon Chiya or Nono Chiya, because this chapter was great for both...

Chiya x Kon is pretty much canon, as canon as Nina x Saku anyway. Even Tokie kind of gave it her blessing. Nono actually gets her own ship later.

Also, who is Omi? Does she appear after the anime's end and the scanlators spoil us by translating the volume extras and other chapters?

Omi first shows up in chapter 24. The anime ended on chapter 23. I guess we did spoil her existence by including that page, but we've always been including those extra pages in the first chapter of a volume. Look forward to her introduction though, because she's a real treat.

Alright real talk... Can we all agree how stupid that exam is? A proper exam should have the possibility that all students can pass at the same time, as well as the possibility that they all fail. Imagine if regular schools did this? you had full marks on the exam, no mistakes at all, but because someone handed in their testsheet before you did, you fail.

I'm not sure if the author thought it through to this level, but Labyrinth Town needs to have a way to regulate the number of urara that ascend the ranks. Most of them spend their whole lives in the city. And it's not like you can't try again. Most examiners wouldn't put an endless maze full of deadly traps in front of 15-16 year olds anyway. The city is a place full of tradition and these exams test both their competence and weed out the girls who just aren't favored by the gods.

We're still doing that swimsuit stuff? Is it about to be canceled? Is the author desperate? Is the editor harassing them?

These chapters are well over a year old. We're not even caught up to the latest volume. Hakka-ya does what she wants.

That comment about sharing Mahoro's power with other people of only the same height seems to have been put in there specifically so it wouldn't work with Anna though.

I did suggest a few additional tags for this chapter. Maybe the uploaders thought age gap and teacher/student were pushing it, but even that one anthology chapter got the Eiko x Kiyose tag.

so if the anime has a 2nd season probably still'd not catch up the manga

The anime has adapted chapters from all the volumes. Mostly Volumes 1-3 but also parts from 4 and 5. There's barely anything left to adapt now. It would have to be a few years before there's enough material for a season 2.

This was a great chapter. Probably my favorite so far. While student/teacher is always nice, I always seem to like Hana-centered chapters more. Even in Slow Start my favorite chapter is just about Hana spending time with her mom.

Unexpectedly funny and lewd chapter. I can't even point to which part was the lewdest. Either the thought of Eiko milk chocolate or Sensei sucking on Eiko's finger in front of her friends.

I'm not exactly sure how much the Yuri tag applies to the whole series. Not even Saki has it. I'll suggest adding the Student/Teacher, age gap and yuri (crush) tags to Eiko x Enami chapters though. I think the Yuri tag should only apply to series and chapters with such relationships in its center while Slow Start has more of the slice of life feeling where most characters are just interested in girls. Obviously Saki was a huge inspiration for Hakka-ya.

Already a correction to make: On page 4 it should say that Kamuri was born in October. I changed it after sending the upload request, but it seems I wasn't fast enough.

The whole ridiculously stupid miscommunication arc was kinda redeemed by "Oh no! We're losing the only oasis in this shitty countryside!" ... Kind of... I'd have preferred that Hijiki had spent more time on the yuri than on this stupid arc, but, nooo, they're just gonna completely forget the best confession in all of yuri and all the other stuff. Ayakashiko's probably gonna end the same way, but at least that's somewhat more unique than this... well, at any rate, it was still an enjoyable read and at least those two young women are definitely together (I forget what their names are).

Don't think so...I would think Hijiki woulda learned from the missteps in Riko&Haru, which is likely why the yuri in Ayakashiko isn't so overt.

Suppressing the yuri this much seems like the wrong lesson to take in my opinion. I wasn't around when RikoHaru originally ended, so I don't know if she actually planned to draw it out a little more or if it was always meant to end like this. I only recently read that this series is still dear to her. We'll have to see how Ayakashiko continues.

Those are the type of relationships Hijiki seems to enjoy. Look at how little development there's been in 4 volumes of Ayakashiko so far. At best you can call Yuki x Kuuko a crush there and everyone else is just friends with the possibility of a single chapter turning it into full romance.

Any plans to pick up any other series after this is finished?

Sorry, no. I only did this because I absolutely love Haru. I've been thinking about maybe picking up one of the Haifuri manga, but nothing's been decided.

So I remember chapters 15 and 16 were just very suddenly gay. Does that ever come back? We seemed to have brushed it off.

Nothing on that level happens again, but chapter 21 is pretty great for Riko x Haru. Most of volume 4 is really about Riko and her feelings about all her friends and Irukawa while Haru keeps being the most direct about her own feelings.

Will they finally become a couple in the finale?

I think it's already been said here that it's left open-ended, but it also doesn't exclude the possibility for their future. The first chapter of Volume 4 will be a treat for you though.

is the manga dropped by the translation team?

I've been working on the rest of this series for about the past month now and I'm maybe a week away from finishing. Depending on how long it takes for upload requests to go through, you might see chapters 19-27 appear here by the next weekend.
