Honestly, compared to Kodama Naoko's other works that often seem superficial at best, Moratorium is actually good. Of course it's still blunt with delivering the subject, but I feel like it's hitting the right spot of needing (or being dependant, to be precise) of social and romantic interaction while being drawn away by some sort of sexual relationship. I think this serves quite a good glimpse at the whole Hedgehog's Dilemma as the two main characters are closest to each other, yet still draw quite a fine line between them.
