I loved the original artist for Warlock so damn much. A lot of the ones that followed never really caught that same look.

That would be the one and only Bill Sienkiewicz. I tried to find his version of Warlock earlier today via a Google image search, but came up empty. Which is a shame, because Sienkiewicz's Warlock was truly alien, in a way that the Art Adams version (i.e. the way he has been drawn for the past 30 years) isn't.

There's a pretty funny one out there on nhentai.com (and probably other places) that has one of the shipgirls (Shokaku or Zuikaku, I think) captured by the Abyssals and she gets to see the day-to-day life of the Abyssal fleet.
