I remember Nezchan mentioning that the decisions behind tag suggestions weren't an "exact science", it's really the staff's call to make
I'm guessing that, if they are familiar with the series/one shot, they'll confirm or reject the suggestion, or read/skim it to check if it's appropriate?
Maybe they missed it, the page you were listing. When you make a suggestion, there aren't any comments or justification you can add, and they won't check the discussion page to see if you wrote something about it

I dunno, but in my most recent case I suggested removing a no text tag from something that clearly has text and it got rejected so it's kinda confusing.

So the limit was put into place to not only discourage that but to attempt to coerce people into visiting the scanlator's website to obtain it instead.

Ends up kinda ineffective at times though when you have groups such as Fly by Yuri which only uploads to Dynasty and other groups which all too often don't include a release post link. (Lililicious and Yuri Project in particular I know have a habit of doing this one.)

That happens sometimes. I've had tags that are clearly inaccurate get rejected when I request they get removed with no explanation when I ask why it got rejected too. It's confusing.

`Then you should say what you mean,' the March Hare went on.

'I do,' Alice hastily replied; `at least--at least I mean what I say--that's the same thing, you know.'

'Not the same thing a bit!' said the Hatter. `You might just as well say that "I see what I eat" is the same thing as "I eat what I see"!'

'You might just as well say,' added the March Hare, `that "I like what I get" is the same thing as "I get what I like"!'

'You might just as well say,' added the Dormouse, who seemed to be talking in his sleep, `that "I breathe when I sleep" is the same thing as "I sleep when I breathe"!'

'It IS the same thing with you,' said the Hatter, and here the conversation dropped, and the party sat silent for a minute, while Alice thought over all she could remember about ravens and writing-desks, which wasn't much.

This is the sort of thing that makes Alice in Wonderland such a great story, lol.

Scanlators add a one year delay each time someone asks that kind of question.

You fucked up :(

You forgot it quadruples when you ask about 2 chapters at the same time, so 4 years ;/

What about chapters 7-10,000,000?

Oops, sorry everyone! Now it's delayed nearly indefinitely.

You mean 'strict' maybe? Cus as we all find out, none of the two are hehe

I don't think strict is even the right word here. She just seems strict because she sees a lack of punctuality as a waste of valuable time that could be better spent enjoying life. I'd say passionate is a better descriptor personally.

I had omnscient0 add in a nice code hook and implemented a new tweak feature that works on the Suggestions Status page. If you enable it, it only shows Pending requests, but not Accepted or Rejected ones.

Modified Userscript

When I get back to working on this script (it'll be awhile, I don't have an eta on that right now) I'll implement your changes as well, if you don't mind, in order to keep things more consistent. That way we don't have people running numerous different versions of the script.

Why is this tagged as no text when there's clearly text in it?

I also find it annoying that the lists order very randomly it seems based sometimes on when you add things and sometimes when it was released on here.

I believe things are ordered according to their ID in the site's database. That's why it seems kinda like it's ordered by date but not quite since the date something was released doesn't always correspond to when it was added to the site.

Actually according to MAL it has 18, unless there is some one-shot included in this.

I think there's a ch16 and a ch16.5 or something like that. (Might be off on the numbers too. I don't seem to be able to find wherever I had originally gotten that idea.)

Have you got a transcription or something? That's incredibly hard to read in the image.

Here:

Releases have decreased in numbers considerably this year - no doubt you've already noticed this, it's kinda hard not to. The reason behind this is several core staff members leaving to pursue other interests or dealing with real life priorities. This isn't unusual for a volunteer project such as this, there's always some significant turnover, but the timing and me being one of the people plagued with personal medical issues and general disinterest caused a lack of timely recruiting to the point where the site simply can't operate anymore.

While I do try to keep the lights on by dealing with technical issues as they occur, I simply have no interest on editing or handling releases anymore and neither does green. Now, what does that mean for YP? Until we've found someone capable to take over responsibility for releases there'll simply be no more releases on the home page. And if no one is willing by the end of the year, the site will cease operation entirely. If you're interested, please send a mail to phyis at yuriproject.net and we'll work something out.

It's currently the last post in this thread on their boards.

Hey Alice, I've been using your Thingifier for a month or so, and I've been dealing with this weird bug where the sidebar UI auto-expands (fully! showing the magnifier settings as well) briefly on each new page and then disappears. Only sometimes the magnifier settings persist, even though the main sidebar is collapsed. I have to hit cancel to remove it. This happens every 5-10 page loads.

This might not be specific enough, and I don't know if you can reproduce the behavior, as I don't seem to do anything specific for it to happen. I've cleared stored data, and disabled all other extensions except for tampermonkey, and I'm using the latest version of Chrome

I'm a bit busy so it'll be awhile before I can get to having a look at it but I'll add it to my to-do list. The menu briefly expanding on page load is normal due to how I'm handling things but the magnifier settings definitely should not be staying open like that.

so when they say the site, do they mean the home page only or both the home page and the boards?

Since she specifies the home page at another point in her message I'd assume that when she says "the site will cease operations" she means that the group as a whole is going to end up closing down.

Basically anything by Junji Itou. Especially Uzumaki, Hellstar Remina, Black Paradox, and the Tomie stories. (Also his retelling of Frankenstein is pretty interesting.) Also Franken Fran. Now that I think about it I think everything outside the yuri/romance genre that I've read is actually almost entirely horror, lol.

That's impossible. Anyone even the slightest bit different from me is evil and must be shown the error of their way!! Really though, if that was directed at me I was just trying to explain why people prefer happy endings since she didn't seem to understand it at all. Her opinion is valid but the condescending attitude about it was unnecessary.

I understand that happy endings make people feel good, but reality exists, I know, SCARY, but it does.

That's exactly WHY people prefer happy endings. If we want unhappy shit we can very easily just go back to reality where it'll happen basically constantly. Reading a nice light-hearted story is a nice change of pace from that. Reading is a form of escapism for a lot of people, just like videogames or drinking are for others.

A proper sequel tagging system would probably be best but would require a decent amount of work from the site's coder(s). The only other option I really see is to make pseudo-collections to hold related one-shots and such in a given continuity. I think both of those things have been suggested already though.

Just incase you didn't know even though this site only has been updated to chapter 16.5, there is 4 more chapters after this one on other sites.

That would be because this chapter was an official Yuri Project release which are the ones uploaded to this site. The ones on other sites are going to be stolen rough drafts or by another group altogether.
