Almost done with POI season 2, the intro episode for Shaw was brilliantly done, I really like her. She also looks a lot like Berlin from Defiance (at least to me).

I think it's similar to what Telamon said. Prior to page 31, Souryuu didn't tell Hiryuu what Akagi talked to her about. Then before that, she chose to sit next to Kaga and not Hiryuu before getting pulled over. If I go with Souryuu's 'Are you jealous?' then Hiryuu was telling Souryuu to be mindful of her actions and not getting close to either of the 1st CarDiv. Since they don't know tomorrow who will go with who but for certain, it'll be only 'two people', Hiryuu ought to be boiling jealous inside still.

It's kind of impressive how, if you don't know the ships and their relationships very well, this makes no sense whatsoever. But clearly from the comments if you do, it works really well.

Yeah, but there is the development of kind of getting what the characters are about when you read a bit about them through doujins, unless they're OOC of course.

Also, I got a third Akagi. So Kaga and her Akagi harem of 3 xD And the next event is around Carriers so we'll see.

I thought for a bit that there was going to be a love triangle, but it seems for now it's avoided. I saw Saeki as being peeved at not being told and chosen to be her support for the duration and not because she was jealous, well okay a bit jealous but not in the romantic sense. If she stays a friend it's going to be much better than if she was in love with Nanami. We'll see.

The pacing isn't weird at all. The ending of the first chapter (as someone pointed out) she confessed after she heard that there isn't anyone special to her, and she confessed (more or less). The second she kissed her because Yuu said that she likely wouldn't fall in love with anyone, and I imagine Nanami became scared. So far it's only been reactionary and as she said herself, she hasn't felt like this at all so it's probably because of that that the pacing 'seems rushed/weird'.

I relate to Yuu a bit though, I don't think I'll ever fall in love either so I'm curious how this will progress.

The 'fighting' was awesome. It seems like there will be some kind of thing happening in later chapters if the fights are like this.

True, it could've been better, but it could've been much, much worse. I liked it, the only thing that I think they half-assed is after they sunk Kisaragi. They only had an episode for mourning, now I'm not saying they should've made it depressing or anything, but considering how much Mutsuki liked her she rebounded too quickly. At least towards the end of the season her fears came back, but still could've been handled better.

Also Ooi was really annoying. Hopefully they'll do a better job with her and Kitakami in the second season and they'll take the plot line they hinted at, namely how Kisaragi became the Airfield Princess (or at least it was hinted that she was)

Well at least that misunderstanding was resolved quickly. Bring on the love triangle! That's an assumption btw. We'll see how she thinks only about Donut when her ex comes. Otherwise why would she be mentioned a lot the past two chapters? And that credits page as well xD

You two will get your fill, Korra is going to continue in comics form and according to the creators the first part will be centered around Korrasami.

As to Dark Horse being dark & gritty, they publish a variety of stuff, especially in book form. For instance.
