What does it mean that Yvonne "unlocked the Tavern CG set"?
She doesn't have a menu or anything so she wouldn't know about it and couldn't look even if she did, and it can't be talking about how far she got in the game before getting Isekai'd since she explicitly didn't get to the border town in her run.

Is there an element of the story that just didn't make it through the transition from novel to manuwa?

I think that all it means is that she completed the scene. She achieved the good ending for this scene, and so earned the CG. No, she can't actually view the CG: the author is probably being somewhat metaphorical.

It's also referencing how a love interest was supposed to safe her here (and unlock a CG for one of the routes). Since Yvonne was there and saved her, it unlocked a CG for her which presumably means that she established her own route as a love interest (even if she herself is unaware of that), if i were to hazard a guess.

Is Glenlivet a real whisky? Because it's really close to the Norwegian words "Glem livet" which directly translates to "forget life". Since it's Scottish maybe it was made by some Norwegian vikings? Any whisky enthusiasts who can correct me on this?

there are manga that are all about characters hitting rock bottom and rising up from it and then there are manga where every time you think they've hit rock bottom, the floor crmbles and reveals a deeper level they can fall to

and i'm just sitting here wondering what else can possibly happen to these girls at this point and will they somehow turn this around into a "happy" end or will it just completely nosedive and embrace the tragedy

The longer the manga is going to run, the more likelihood it will be a happy ending. Actually I have YET to read a Yurihime manga that has a tragic endng.

Idk, strawberry taste notes aren't unheard of in whiskey, so it's not like the idea is completely out there. Actually, Glenlivet does have its fair share of fruitiness to it together with vanilla and a general smoothness that I can see this actually kinda working, which surprised me. Mangaka actually did their research methinks

A plot twist revealing that she is actually an adult is more fun in my opinion. But it has to be a clever plot twist, given that Mai already told Tae and the readers that she is 10 years old.

I highly doubt that's gonna be it. It's been discussed before but she's literally in a class with other 10 year old's, both at the pool and in school. Mai being an actual adult who somehow managed to set all that up without any suspicions would be pretty unbelievable
