There is subtext on snow girl's part, sure. I think the fox girl just likes to randomly tease people because she enjoys seeing the reactions. I don't think there's anything deeper on her side at the moment.

I am also disturbed by Tora's inability to read body language. The Catulus have clearly got cat instincts, so they should also recognize catlike reactions in each other. You shouldn't carelessly approach a cat who's curled into a defensive posture: you can cause it to lash out and shred you in a panic.

Doesn't Rin explain that turning into a vampire is not a voluntary choice? You either turn upon being fed upon for the first time, or you don't. Yuu has fed on Nana three times already, so Nana's chances at vampirism look rather slim.

It sounded more like "each time you feed on someone there is a very remote chance they might be turned into a vampire" to me. So it's not a "first time or nothing" sort of thing.

I think I would like this series a lot better if that irritating male wasn't around.
