I think it's obvious who the main characters of Their Story are. it's just that the side characters are handled differently here compared to other mangas. They don't "contribute" something big to the main characters' romance, they just get their own side stories that are usually unrelated to SJ and QT development.
I see it more like extra stories within the manhua rather than one unit. Who knows, maybe the author uses them to buy time thinking of how to develop SJ and QT story too. Not that this is a bad thing
I think the story is mainly about SJ and QT. Not complaining, because I like the rest of characters too, especially Mophead haha. I like how the author gave SJ a male best friend.
Having said that, I think maybe these side stories are also a way to prolong the story too, since SJ and QT relationship moves pretty fast with no major drama whatsoever.

It is happening, No-Rae starts showing her feelings to Seol-A.
Very nice chapter, both of Seol-A/No-Rae part, as well as Sung-Pyo (some people have said before he is there to see No-Rae's feelings for Seol-A) and Ina's moment in the beggining haha

Regarding Seju's father... one of her brothers/sister in law(?) said to do a DNA test and someone answered "Already did" in the chapter where they were all sitting on a table. So I think this is her real father, but maybe that mole guy slept with her mother in the past.
About Sungji, I think you are right in most you've said. Her parents are probably dead, maybe the authors will give the explanation why is so understanding with Sumin in her arc. Probably she had dealt with grief in her past and knows how Sumin feels, and is more patient I guess. We'll see.
Like you said they haven't face any major difficulties in their relationship yet for their bond to be strengthen. I guess they will and we'll see how things will develop from then on.
I still do wonder though if the fact that Seju hired her was just a coincidensce or not.
I just hope that they don't give Nami for Seju in the end though. She doesn't seem to like her, and if suddenly she starts liking her it will feel plot forced, only to give someone to Seju now that Sumin has found love again.

Haha this too and also:
(I'm uploading it since we wait for new chapter :P)
As cute as Sumin x Sungji is, I get this strange feeling that Sumin is going to end up cheating on her somehow.
Sumin/Seju's relationship fell apart pretty much bc of the cheating. so I dont I think Sumin wants to go down near that road again. If she cheated on Sungji even with Seju, the Sumin'd be no good of a person/lover.
Agreed. This is supposed to be a healing story. And I don' think we have that many chapters left.
To be honest I'm not sure if I completely trust Sumin at this. She seems like she's hiding a lot of things from Sungji, and also she seems easily influenced, especially when she's drunk.
One thing that I can say is highly probable, is that Sumin and Seju both have to move on from what happened in the past. Not just Sumin.
So far we see Sungji for Sumin, but how this will affect Seju too? I don't think if Sumin simply cuts all contact with her will stop Seju from pursuing her, or at least suffer in silence.
I think Sumin has to forgive her in the end at least. How this will happen could be the plot twist.

Sure Gaji will do this...if they want to commit manhwa suicide :P
What if that's the plot twist D:
Aww they're both so adorable, and yes they do look and feel more like a couple here! Also, Sumin's no longer holding back haha, checking out Sungji's nape and making a move xD
Didn't they say no arranged marriage? Plus Seju is gay, so they know it would be bad to give her a husband.
You never know with plot twists though.
I was thinking...what if Sungji's story is like the rest of Sumin's lovers stories? I mean Ganji show an example (here is Sungji) of how Sumin's typical relationships evolve before breaking it off and then repeating the same cycle again. (something like a horror movie plot twist lol). But then again this is a healing story too, so I dunno xD
This is the beggining of their relationship, let's see how this will go from now on
Seju will end up marrying a guy arranged for her. It will be her dad's dying wish. Or it will be a good business move. And she'll fulfill a heterosexual life, kids and all, to continue the family business.
I would rather team Gaji to kill Seju than to give her this ending.
Sure Gaji will do this...if they want to commit manhwa suicide :P
Death would be too obvious for a plot twist. But it wouldn't be surprising too (talking about convenietly removing the obstacle between Sumin and Sungji's r/s) since deaths are supposedly plot twists.
The way author has interlocked Sumin with Seju though...It doesn't feel like the classic development of getting over an ex. Usually the third party is chasing after that person who doesn't care much or feels guilty/obligated to them to really give the cold shoulder.
Not sure why author does it. To create more tension for the characters or something else?
Sumin is opening up to Sungji more, but the situation with Seju doesn't seem to change much.
I don't believe that Sumin will sleep with her now that she's with Sungji, but what about the emotional hold? Realisticaly in situations like this there is a chance of turning into a rebound. But since this is fiction everything can work i guess.
If i'm not wrong Sumin was upset of Seju telling her she would meet with a marriage partner (not sure if she was talking abou seju there, i think at chapter 27).
The sooner the better though.
There is also another question. How long could Sumin and Sungji last in the future? It's all cute and fun now, but do they have much common ground for this too? They are 10 years apart and their lives regarding romance so far have been really different.
There was also this detail in early chapters on how Seju hired Sungji on purpose.
Dose anyone know excatly how old norae and seola ...i mean i thought they were around 21 but they both went on year break in austrelia so must be 22 right ?
There was a panel that said (if i remember clearly) No-Rae was 23. I think it as when the rest of her familly was introdused, like her brother and her sister and how old they are too.
Btw still curious when or if No-Rae's sister will show up
Thanks for translation!!
Wow this is one of my favorite chapters since when Seol-A was going to confess to No-Rae.
I wonder, "coinsidence" is mentioned 3 times in this chapter. I kinda felt like Sung-Pyo wasn't there by coinsidence, the way he mentioned it twice seemed kind of like this. Could be wrong though.
Seol-A really mentioned the ex to Ina when she was crying, she practically almost came out to her with her feelings for No-Rae. It seems Seol-A starts getting angsty. That's a good development now (yes maybe still slow but I still like it haha).
I think it'ss gonna be interesting if the ex shows up next.
I wonder what Seol-A says to Enah when she cried...
And they had a lot of cute moments in the past. When they're together, it seems like they understand each other, they're on the same page.
This. Seju knows both Sumin's good and bad sides. Sudji still seems young, and I just hope their bond can develop further in the future.
However they have been stuck in the past for too long and the scar is too deep; I think its too broken to be fixed.
There are some symbolisms I noticed.
The tattoo Sumin has on her shoulder was from Seju's brother right? It could be interpreted that Seju left a mark on her that cannot be erased or leave with time.
This one, plus a chapter where Sumin said "You can never forget your first love"
Well for some people their first love is not that important as they were young and they get over it soon. But when you can't forget someone is not only because they were your first.
It's remarkable how Seju still cares and loves Sumin after all this time though.
This manhwa has got me confused on an emotional level. It happens when I know the two characters won't end up together and I'm trying to convince myself to like the main couple more than the other lol. It's author's fault for the reasons I mentioned above haha.

Kinda late for the discussion, but I feel like Sumin still had (if not now) feelings for Seju. Could be wrong of course, but it really seems she's still trapped in her past. She also seemed upset when Seju said she was going to get married. Gotta admit, I liked their development more than Sungji and Sumin.
if you ask me (yes no one did ^^) i've been following the manga "Skip Beat" for ten years now and there's still no confession between the two main characters ahah so for me FF has a quite "real" and nice pace to me :)
sorry i'm new here and just wanted to say that without anyone caring much :p !
Can't wait to have the next chapter out :)
Man 10 years is crazy long. Well I am thankful then for FF. It could be worse for us! (No offense) We complain about weekly updates for a year. Thank you Ssamba for progress you have given thus far!!
Not to mention other mangas or animes that stop abruptly or are too short
I actually kinda root for Harumin. I think she would treat Yuzu so much better. If I had to guess I would say Harumin will be the "last boss". Hopefully that happens.
Same here, kinda got tired of Yuzu x Mei around ch 14 I still like them but idk I just wish Yuzu x Harumin could happen in some way even if it was just for drama.
Me too haha. But I know Yuzu won't like her that way, so I just hope now Harumin doesn't get her feelings crashed in the future. It would be bad writing pulling another antagonist though, especially someone who has been a friend since the beggining. I was thinking that maybe Yuzu was infatuated with Mei because she's still young, but in the future she realises that Harumin was always better. But yeah, not a chance of that happening at all lol.
Another thing that is a little too much imo, is the fact that a lot of people seem to fall head over heels for Mei just the second they see her. How possible would that be? Realistically speaking, Yuzu should have more fans or I'm just biased.
Maybe Mei represents that part of Japanese people. I think someone has mentioned this here before, how they work very hard and they don't show a lot of emotions. Mei's character makes more sense with this.
Ch.19 has been translated recently. Looks like something worse gonna happen. Will Mei dare to expel Yuzu even though she loves her ? There's gonna be battle between Yuzu and Harumin's oneechan for school president election.
Maybe Harumin's sister will decide not to expel them. Or Mei gets the blame on her instead of Yuzu.
Besides that I noticed the umbrella scene too. Mei was always a little emotional bully, not surprised this is happening now too. But at the same time it seems like she's opening up to Yuzu more too. It would be better if there wasn't that specific scene though, imo.
If it was me though, I would pair Yuzu with Harumin haha. Mei is the type of aloof person that may seem interesting to some people before they get to know her, but sometimes her character becomes too much.
Sorry MacySan you know I can't spend my work time on a Seol-a doppelganger. It has to be Seol-a.
Obviously, you should always choose the original.
It wasn't about choosing over one of them (obv Seol-A wins haha), more like I was waiting for Enah to do something bad in every chapter xD
Ok if I misunderstood Nya-chan, I'd apologize.
For now I'll go collect Seol-a's screenshots at work instead of continue this unnecessary discussion about how bad my favorite manhwa is.
I actually wanted to get some screenshots of Enah acting all suspicious and put this meme on the top
Okay now don't be like that, if this was any other serie people would have whined and complained a lot about how when ex-bf with perfect timing interrupted the confession and again now that he is in the same ski resort are forced drama, but because it's FF everyone acts as if it's perfect and without any problems or cliches, seriously guys, someone makes a criticism and what some of you do? Mock the person? Some pages ago some pretty much offended and acted agressive towards Nya-chan because she have a different opinion, this is starting to become fandumb, you guys are making me think of Narutards and Bleachtards, acting as if FF is the best thing ever made and anyone who don't agree is an idiot who doesn't know anything, I like FF as much as all of you do, but it's not perfect and definitely not above criticism, so chill out guys, cause it's really embarassing how some of you are acting against some people, mainly Nya-chan now because the rest even gave up after some time because of how some of you react to criticism.
I agree that FF is not perfect and the bf showing up again now might be cliche, yes. Maybe Ssamba has a purpose for this and we'll see it in the next chapters, maybe she's not and people are right. Nothing is perfect anyway, and FF has its flaws too.
Also I don't see why get affected on a personal level from a series. Remember guys, we read this for fun, not to torture ourselves. If someone feels like that and the story gets under their skin I think it would be better to take a break.
But there are two ways to critisise a story, one with drama and another without.
And about what is this other work she have? Het romance? I'm kind curious if it's as good as FF.
I checked it out briefly too, and there is het romance. Not sure about the girls from the cover (who look like Seol-A and No-Rae) though.
I was going to ask if there is anywhere a translation of it.
I was a little surprised to be honest, because the art in this looks different from FF. And the characters also look different too, it made me think why Ssamba didn't use this for FF too. Also the backgrounds are different and well drawn too. Maybe she has more time to draw this one while FF has to be done in one week
O.k if things will continue like this ...nothing will change ...i dont think seola will conffess again not after that so probably seola will date some guy again just to make norae jealous or seola will meet yu jin younger sister and tell her the truth which will effect seola dramaticly so im sure that norae is the one to confess first and seola will initiate the first kiss ..i bet on that
Seol-A getting a new bf? Sounds unlikely. We already have Sung-Pyo, so I think Ssamba knows a second guy would be too much right now. It sounds out of character for Seol-A to do something like that only to make No-Rae jealous. Even if she doesn't feel good about Sung-Pyo, she not the type to make No-Rae hurt.
For what I'm sure (with 1% of otherwise because you never know) is that No-Rae is not getting back with Sung-Pyo. I thought he was coming back after the Christmass holidays, but it seems that it's sooner. Maybe there is a reason and I hope it's an interesting twist.
Most of what he could do is maybe hint that he still likes her or wants to be together. But if that happens, that would be a great opportunity for No-Rae to compare him with Seol-A only to be even more sure about her feelings for Seol-A.
I still want No-Rae to make the first move though. I don't like it when someone is pushed or rushed to chase after their crush because they are afraid of losing them. The other person should go after them too. Who knows, maybe No-Rae will finally admit that to her self if the ex bf starts pursuing her
Nooo he's back sooner than I expected...
Let's be positive: the sooner Sung-pyo's arc will be closed, the sooner we'll get more Seolrae moments (I hope).
Nah, his arc was closed, and now another one opened (at least maybe temporary).
I don't even think the extra characters are solely put by Ssamba to push Seol-A and No-Rae closer. I think they are here for simply the story.
I think every reader of FF by now should know what to expect. We might get a confession, we may not. But I think it's safer to see it first and then get excited about it instead eexpecting every week for it to come.
60 chapters until now, I think it would be better to not "push" the confession to be as soon as possible. This makes reading FF painful for those who might anticipate it eagerly.
I personally enjoy the drama and story line of every chapter without waiting for the confession.

Well it seems that FF is not the typical yuri manga, because we get important hetero relationships too. Also the way Sung-Pyo and No-Rae were portraited. It wasn't just a plot device, it was real feelings too.
But to me it's always better to just assume anyone's orientation of what they claim to be and leave it like that lol.
Tbh I thought Enah would like No-Rae that way, but apparently that's not true. Maybe it was just my imagination, but I think Ssamba made her ambiguus on purpose to avoid making a cliche villain who will "force" them together instead of helping.
Something that I think sometimes and I don't remember anyone asking, do we have any idea if Ssamba have a girlfriend? Some of the best yuri we have are from lesbians or bisexual womans, not necessarely in a relationship with another woman of course, but I was wondering if Ssamba have personal experience since FF characters and their interactions feel more realistic, not to mention the story in general is better than most yuri even if it have a few problems and forced cliches, like ex-boyfriend with perfect timing.
I've never come across anything regarding Ssamba's personal life. I mean, I think we're not even sure is she's a "she" if I'm not mistaken.
Generally in yuri I personally can tell the difference between male and female artists by one thing. Male usually tend to draw more sexually centered yuri mangas, while female focuses on the feelings more.
Of course this is not a rule (like the author of Prism who is male and some others I forget rn), but generally I noticed there is this patern going on in a lot of cases. But still, if a yuri artist is a female, it doesn't mean she's necesserily bi/gay.
