Ichika really is her own special kind of fucked, as far as intentions go she might be the one I dislike the most. Everyone else, fucked up as they may be, have at least clearly defined goals behind the things they do, which are usually focused on a single person.
Ichika is different though, she latches on to whoever catches her interest and builds them up only to see them break down. She wants to see people broken, for the sake of seeing people broken.

Everyone else might do horrible things but Ichika? She's a "just wants to see the world burn" kinda person, she's the most dangerous of them all.

Btw, a really nice manga with a similar dynamic is "Alter Ego". One of the rare western manga, single volume licensed by Tokyopop, great read. Recommend.

Koyuki's kind of a bad friend, ngl. Being uninterested in her friends' squabbles and sticking to her phone bc she's focused on senpai is one thing but just ditching them without even asking if it's okay and no explanation at all is just kind of a dick move

The only thing I found a little odd was Mai's mom. She comes in so late and so briefly that it feels jarring and out of place. The whole thing with her could've been it's own proper arc, and i feel like it should've been. How it is here just feels a little rushed and almost shoehorned.

Way to be prejudiced against non-monogamous ppl. For one, I can't recall a single instance where Risa said it wasn't okay for Yuka to have other partners too, she'd most likely be perfectly okay with that. Rather, it's Yuka trying to guilt Risa into being monogamous despite agreeing to be with her, even though she knew that Risa isn't mono.

If you're monogamous and can't deal with your partner being polyam that's fine but don't act like you have some sort of moral high ground here, you don't. You're just ignorant.

As someone who is polyamorous myself, I in fact see a lot less "wrong" with how Risa is acting, compared to Yuka. Risa is up-front and open about her attraction to/being with multiple people, the degree of involvement with whom is secondary.

Meanwhile, Yuka strikes me as a typical monogamous person who's clearly not okay with how their polyamorous love interest leads their life but instead of recognizing that this incompatibility is a dealbreaker, she gets together with them anyway, only to then fault the other person for continuing to be polyamorous.

She can be lucky that Risa found her jealousy endearing and decided to placate her bc if it was me, i'd be long gone. If you can't deal with my polyamory then i'm not gonna deal with you, end of story.

EDIT: My annoyance at Yuka's behavior doesn't mean i don't like the story though, just to make that clear. I actually rather enjoyed both parts~ Always nice to see non-normative concepts of love being handled

Just did a reread of this and it somehow gives me the same feeling as "can't defy the lonely girl". Due to the release schedule and the immediate shift to a different arc after the confession it feels like so much has happened and these two have been dating for quite a while when in reality they haven't even kissed yet.

So, is it likely that these two could become a couple in canon? I only watched the trailer for the anime way back and it seemed like it was mostly about Michiru and the guy in the picture story here (pg 12). Also, most yuri related stuff I see of BNA seems to ignore his existence. Obviously cause he's a guy, but is there also any sort of feelings between him in the show? I just want to know if it's yuri goggles, love triangle, "close friends", pseudo father/daughter, zero romance whatsoever, or what does the canon situation seem like?

There are a few subtexty scenes but overall romance plays no role in BNA at all. But based on those few subtexty scenes Michiru definitely has more romantic energy going with Nazuna than with Shirou, he and lil tanuki sit squarely in the "good friends and partners, that's it" corner.
