I think the hair decorations are different between reality and "Beniko and Sora" (Empty vs Filled, Scrunchie vs String?). Rereading it that way, it looks like the real Saku never left her notes for Kasumi to see. There are some tricky transitions in there!

My guess is that literally the entire one-shot up until the last two pages was all the story she was writing, just with the names changed.

Basically, she heard you liked self-inserts so she self-inserted herself into her manga about self-inserting so she could self-insert while she was self-inserting.

Vaguely curious if Bazu's name isn't at least partially a reference to the ancient Mesopotamian apotropaic wind demon Pazuzu... there would seem to be some shared themes at least.

Fun fact: I peeped in on Neji's stream the day the series was launched and even she doesn't know how Bazu's name is supposed to romanized (other than clarifying that it wasn't short for "bazooka").

Also I don't get why didn't they name chapters as per original: 1st Letter, 2nd Letter, etc., since every chapter starts with Mashiro writing a letter to her elder sister.

That "Trump Tower will crumble" translation though.
For clarifcation, the proper context is likely that Uta is building a tower out of playing cards (ie. trumps) and the constant vibrations from Kuro's text notifications are threatening to knock it over.

Egh, I hate it when translators make the mistake of translating 助 as "save" when the context makes the alternate translation "help" far more appropriate.

I kinda figured "save" would be better, since in the context of these early chapters, Sora is "helping" (手伝う) Hazuki move in, and the desire to rescue her from being possessed by gay cats would probably warrant a more distinct wording.

Added Age Gap tag, changed Yuri to Subtext. I don't know anything about this series but given the author, I'm not entirely convinced there's anything more to this than two cute girls getting along.
