Does anyone else feel the mangaka just kinda gave up on drama after seeing all the backlash it got and decided to go back to fluff? Because the tone changed real fast and suddenly.

I think the readers can dictate the story, to some extent. It's certainly the author's prerogative to write the story as they envision it. However, if the readers reject the story, the writer will have to adapt, or get a real job to make a living.

Please define what a “real job” is.

Well that would be any job that brings in actual money. Artist integrity, is a grand romantic idea, but it doesn't always pay the bills.

Also, if anyone had a influence on what direction they went with it wouldn’t be us freeloaders.

I like these cute little slice of life chapters. I can understand how people could get bored with them, but I wouldn't mind if they went on forever.

I'll be honest - I don't read much romantic tension from this. More like siblings*/friends**, as those random characters implied.

I would have agreed with you, until this chapter, but this one seemed full of romantic tension.

Wasn't there suppose to be two immortal chics? And, what's the deal with the skull?

When the first girl woke the other, that skull was her friend that they gained "eternity" with. Then however many years later the skull you see is of that girl. They have pretty much swapped roles. Now these new people who have just found her will probably be the next to sleep there for a couple hundred years and keep they cycle going.

I think I'm done with this one. At first I thought it might be going somewhere, but it's looking more and more like a total waist of my time.

It's obviously just Harumi downplaying her feeling of jealousy as something stupid because she doesn't want to admit she has feelings for Chiaki yet. This is Romance 101.

Yeah, I've made arguments just like that one, on the message boards of other gag manga, The gag yuri fans all jumped down my throat. They told me "If you're looking for an actual romance, quit reading, you're going to be disappointed."

I honestly interpreted that as potential attraction pangs she mistakenly thought was from the groping with all that other girl stuff right before. Or it could just be the groping. Really how do we know from that little info?

I do believe that was the point. Harumi clutches her chest, and says "What's this tightness?" Your supose to think she is jealous, that Chiaki is paying attention to someone else. Then, it turns out it's really from being roughly felt up. Cue laugh track. a classic misdirection joke. That is why I am losing hope, for this manga. Instead of getting character development, we're getting really crappy jokes.
I'm still hanging on to a shred of hope, that this manga will bud into a decent romance. After all, early in the story, Harumi seemed to wish Harumi's interest in her wasn't completely centered around her boobs. I've read other gag manga with futile hopes, before though.

Iwashita finally figured out that Tsubasasa is a woman. Now all we have to do, is wait a few chapters, while Iwashita comes to terms with crushing on another woman, then another few chapters, while she debates on whether or not to act on her feelings. Then, possibly wait a chapter or two more, in suspense, to see how Tsubasasa will respond to Iwashita's feelings. (We really haven't been given any proof that Tsubasasa swings that way.) Then finally we'll get to the juicy part, maybe. And people wonder why, I get annoyed with ambiguous endings. I follow a story that long, I want some serious lip locking action, at the least.

It was a little hard to follow, but it seems like it's going to be good.

If this turns out to be just a one trick pony, yuri gag manga I'm going to be greatly disappointed. Frankly, a girl casually molesting another girl's boobs isn't really that funny to begin with. Plus I've seen it before. I only been keeping up with the story, because I figured with a premise that weak, there would have to be an actual story, in there somewhere. After pain in Harumi's chest turned out to be from Chiaki's abuse (half hearted laugh), and not a twinge of jealousy, I'm starting to lose hope.

To the ones checking the comments section because of the tags (and don't mind spoilers) and those who don't really get the story, the story is basically about a girl who made a promised to kiss her friend, but got raped and then avoided the promise because she believes she's dirty. Then she tried to wash away the experience of the rape by normalizing it by having sex as a call girl, which she believes will make her clean again so that she can fulfill her promise. But she haven't met her friend in while since she dropped out of school to be a call girl, and one day they finally met and she broke in tears after seeing her "angel".

I read it once and thought of it as a mess. After re-reading to try to understand the story, it's still a mess that I just understand better.

I don't think the meeting was intentional. I think she was out and saw her friend, from a distance. She noticed her friend still wearing the good luck charm, the girl made her, and realised her friend was still waiting for her to fulfill their promise. That is what move the girl to tears.

they never said the meeting was intentional. and i don't think she broke into tears because of their promise adn her still waiting. i think it was more from just seeing her again, and the charm she gave her friend, believing that charm held her true self, her pure self.

The promise obviously ment a lot to the girl, judging by the great lengths she was going to, to "purify" herself, so she could keep it. Fulfilling the promise was the girls main motivation throughout the whole story, so it makes sense to me that she would see her best friend still clutching the charm in that light. If you don't like it in those terms, (I could understand if you didn't) think of the charm as proof that her best friend was still holding a candle for her.
