People at the monastery think it looks ridiculous, but don't say anything because they assume she's making some kind of conscious fashion statement. Manga girls are made out of some super dense matter that makes them look super slim no matter how much they eat, unless they're comic relief or (in rare cases) are in series like Elf-san wa Yaserarenai or Real Drive where the character designer has a fetish.

I wouldn't call them underrated, it's by far the most popular FE yuri pairing outside of Awakening and Fates. Mainly because it's practically stated in game that Florina is gay for Lyn.
