Homura does have a crush on Asuka, but she is simply to tsundere to admit it. There are quiet a few scenes in Shinovi Versus where she acts all tsundere towards Asuka and Haruka even points out the real reason that Homura wants to protect Hanzo academy is because of Asuka. Love the image!

I watched the Senran Kagura anime a few years back, before I became a full-on Yuri shipper. I wasn't really interested in shipping anyone in the series back then, but I kinda rediscovered it a few years later and realized how some characters would make really good couples, like Asuka with Homura. xD
And that's exactly why I ship Ikaruga with Yomi instead of Katsuragi (and I decided to ship Katsuragi with Hikage). lol

Unfortunately, it seems there's only one character that's actually gay in the entire series, and the rest is just fanservice that can't even qualify as subtext. Kinda like Neptunia, in which when a male character is introduced (a "player character" the game developers didn't even bother to keep ambiguous, or give the choice to select gender), and suddnely the yury vanishes as if it never was there... because it wasn't. It kinda pissed me off ever since.

@blopa Which neptunia do you mean? If you're talking about the White Goddes Spin Off then yeah that was clearly shipped to a seperate company for which they even apologized since fans had an outcry against the OC. Besides that I am pretty sure all the games are still gay asf
