That's not true. Procrastination absolutely helps with work, without it the work will 100% just tire you out and you'll be too tired to finish it. Procrastinating helps your mind relax for a moment which allows you to come back with more energy to do it some more

These really are different ways people are wired, just like an extrovert can't grasp how an introvert operates, and vice versa.

The world tends to praise, or at least hold up as a model, people who get their work done in a timely fashion (and also assumes extroverts are the default). But "just get your work done" is easier said than done, and for some people impossible until they're hard against a deadline.

The idea that there are people who can just do their work without losing energy half way through sounds fake but I guess some people really are wired differently

I believe you are talking about my comment so I believe I didn't word it right so I'll try to express myself better (Even though I was talking about LOVE TRIANGLES and not polyamorous relationships)

But what I was trying to say is that, given the context of Haru da Hii's relationship, it's pretty explicit that they both love each other very much and are dedicating themselves too much to making each other happy, correct?. so, WHAT IF Haru developed feelings/interest in Naruko and was genuinely torn between her and Hii, in which she was already in a stable and happy relationship where she was doing her best to make her happy and give her a good life , isn't it kind of unfair to Hii?, being genuinely torn between your partner of years who was making you happy and someone you met three days ago, doesn't make any sense (In a case of a Love Triangle, not poly relationship)

The setup doesn't really change anything about what's already been said tbh. The issue is how you prescribed morality on potential feelings that haven't been acted upon. So what if Haru developed those for Naruko? That wouldn't be her fault and not any kind of misgiving either. You can't help who you develop feelings for.
The way you explained it goes into "mental cheating" territory which is just super fucked of a line of thinking imho.

Now, if she actually acted on it and started to neglect Hii or smth like that, then we can talk about it being a bad thing to do, but just the feelings itself? nah

If you are saying that because of my previous comment, what I was trying to say is that if someone that is in a relationship with someone is open for a possible poly but the other person isn't, it's most likely because of jealousy, I wasn't saying that there's jealousy/divition of love and attention on poly relationships, I was saying that some partners/couples on a relationship wouldn't be interested/open about it because of jealousy, poly might just not work if the other partner doesn't agree with it

It was more the comment you replied to tbh, the implications of them bringing morality into it just rubbed me the wrong way (for reasons the comment above has already put into words very well) ^^

To your point though, if we were talking about real people, then you're right of course. Polyamory works for some and doesn't for others, that's completely natural. Since we're talking about characters though, we simply can't know their views on polyamory/open relationships, if they even have any or whether or not they're prone to being jealous or not until we actually see it shown or addressed in the manga.
Therefore there's no real basis to rule it out from the get-go, simply bc we won't know until we know, i think. Whether it's actually gonna happen or not is of course anybody's guess and i for one won't be seriously disappointed if it doesn't but instead very happily surprised if it does :D

Also quick sidenote: Jealousy is a perfectly normal emotion and polyamorous ppl can and do experience it just as much as monoamorous ppl. The difference just lies in how it is dealt with and the meaning attributed to it~

Feels like some ppl here have way too visceral of a reaction to whenever (the wish for) a possible polyam situation is mentioned xD
I'm sure there are outliers but for most of us who like and want to see more polyam in manga, our comments are just an (albeit somewhat overenthusiastic) "Oh that would be so neat!", nothing more. If it happens, great! If it doesn't, oh well. That's what it boils down to~ And as most rarely catered to shippers surely will understand, it doesn't take much to get our shipping goggles going :D

That aside, i sometimes see this sentiment of "If a third person comes into the mix, one of the first two will inevitably get the short end of the stick bc of divided attention/love" and that's just not a thing in "actual" polyamory (as opposed to, say, a monoamorous love triangle situation where one character just can't decide, those exist too i guess).
in polyamory, love is additive. If there's another person there, then there's just that much more love to go around. That's oen of the beautiful things about it actually ^^

Like, I haven’t seen a single hint of romantic feelings/inclinations in all this time. What Hinako & Miko have is strictly platonic, and Shiori doesn’t seem to be falling for Hinako either. I’m not sure how long this story will run for, but if there’s going to be romance elements I’d expect them to start working their way in by now.

If this series is going for the long haul (which i kinda hope it does) it's gonna be a while until any romance comes in. Imo Hinako needs to resolve her death wish first before she can even consider allowing herself to feel romantic affection for anyone bc it would run so counter to her current desire to just not be there anymore.

What Shiori feels is feels is still largely a mystery but whether her really just wanting to eat her is what she actually thinks or just a very consistent façade, will likely start to unravel once we get Hinako to a point where she starts questioning her own death wish herself.

The author has to know what they're doing with all this polyam ship teasing going on :D I'd totally be down for that, but even if it doesn't happen I love the dynamic these three already have <3

Oooohhh I'm actually super hype about this!! I've been keeping up to date with this series and I like it a lot. It actually has what could be read as some great a-spec rep here, as well as lots about masking that resonates with me about autism. The whole class S parody shtick is hit or miss much i personally find it very entertaining xD

While it's true that Romance might not be the number 1 focus of the series, it's also much more overtly gay from the start than many others. I mean ch.2 is full of Anis openly declaring how Euphie is totally her type and that she'd only ever marry a woman.

Also is it just me or did Menou and Akari seem way more affectionate in the manga? The way they sat on top of the train at the end of the respective chapter was really cute but they changed that in the anime too :thinking_face:

The series is 13 volumes in total so there's still lots of room for more developments, I'm positive it'll be good :3

I noticed all the onomatopoeia are carefully translated. It must have been a helluva work to clean and rewrite everything. Now I'm full of curiosity about the originals. FE "ba-dum ba-dum" "ba-thump ba-thump" and "throb throb" given the context are all heartbeats so should be all "doki doki" right? But I wonder about "fret fret" and "shake shake" that are very similar in context too... and "scrub scrub" "slide slide" and "floof floof" are I guess variants for the sound of cleaning skin... and I wonder if "plunk" is really the right onomatopoeia for something being slowly submerged in water?

Japanese manga's sound effects are not onomatopeii but action descriptors. Neither leaving them untouched nor translating them to english onomatopeii are likely solutions from a linguist's viewpoint. How does one put in english terms the difference between "doki, doki", "uki, uki" and "waku, waku"? All things considered, it's way clearer for japanese-impaired readers to omit the sound effects altogether and add a lot of action description to compensate, like this translation does.

I'm personally partial to how it's done in Murcielago (and maybe most YenPress translations?) where they keep the Japanese font, put the literal romanji next to it and add an english translation to the first instance of it.
It preserves the art of it, gives insight to how it's spoken and what it actually means. Only downside is that it can look a little cluttered if there's a whole bunch of SFX happening in one panel.

Healer Girl is definitely neat looking. Pretty visuals, great singing&music. How deep the plot is remains to be seen but there's definitely lots of potential there.
You gotta like the amount of singing though. If it annoys you when Disney movie or musical characters spontaneously bust out a song, it's prob not for you.

Hard agree the Ren and the mom are exes, but I'm wondering if Youzi has realized that? I feel like she's either naively or willingly turning a blind eye to that possibility in order to push for, what she thinks, is an obvious answer to the current situation.

As based as Youzi is, we can't forget that she's still a kid/teenager who essentially just wants her mom to be happy, if a little pushy/overenthusiastic. The finer details of her moms possible relationship history are likely escaping her

i just watched Birdie Wing ep.1 and it's so weird?
it clearly wants to be a sports drama about golf but the way it's set up and framed you'd think you're watching a spy flick ala james bond sometimes xD
