While you're correct, drpepperfan's role in Binbou was as a QC, which is relatively minor. When I said "collaborations," I specifically meant (as did drpepperfan) works which their two individual groups collaborated on. The translator was the leader of Binbou and drpepperfan was aware of that when he opted to participate as a member of Binbou (as he was for Fuzoroi no Renri and many others). The person behind RayDistance (the other group that made early releases for this series possible) has given their consent for the removal of their work with Binbou. Other cross-group collaborations have been left on the site and will continue to be, unless we are given affirmative consent from those collaborators.

I wasn't aware that drpepperfan and RayDistance consented to the Fuzoroi chapters they worked on being removed. If you're actively getting the consent of the other people who worked on scanlations before removing anything they worked on, I retract my criticism of the staff's handling of the situation. My apologies for the assumption otherwise, but from appearances that didn't initially seem to be the case.

Hey, I'm the primary other member of Binbou from 2013-2016. The one protesting in this instance was drpepperfan, whose collaborations with Binbou remain on the site (with those credits for Binbou now removed). Who are you referring to that was ignored?

drpepperfan worked on the Fuzoroi no Renri scanlation with Binbou, didn't they? I specifically remember checking the credits page of Binbou's Fuzoroi chapters after that thread because I was worried that it would get taken down, and I could have sworn I saw drpepperfan's name there and feeling relieved that it probably wouldn't be. I hope my memory isn't that atrocious.

Edit: I just found the chapters I had saved, drpepperfan did indeed contribute to this series. You really made me anxious about my memory there...

Besides the chapters of this series what else ended up getting removed?

Here's a list of Binbou's translations. I think almost all of them were removed.
There were also a fair number of images removed. I managed to save them all, but unfortunately couldn't archive Binbou's manga translations because of Dynasty's download limitations.

Re-uploaded first chapter?

Binbou Scanlations went snookapalooka and had all their uploads on Dynasty removed. Which included Fuzoroi Ch. 1.

More accurately, one person unilaterally had all of the groups' works removed despite the protest of another person who worked together on the scanlations. Still rubs me the wrong way that Dynasty's staff indulged that selfish tantrum.

Why do people in these stories immediately move to "I should steal him/her away from her girl/boyfriend" instead of moving on with their lives?

People in love act irrationally. If they didn't, 90% of romantic literature would be wiped out overnight.

Do they really think the person they think they love will be happy to have their relationship trashed?

I mean, Kouhai-chan is convinced that Minami is in an abusive relationship, so it's natural she would think Minami could be happier being in a relationship with her.

"Today was not great... oh, a new chapter of Blues! Reading this before I go to sleep should cheer me up a little!"

I just caught up with the latest volume and... anyone else disappointed with it? I'm not really digging the whole Mahou Shoujo Hitler thing. Maybe if that were the direction the comic were going in from now on it would be a weird but possibly interesting tone shift, but as it is I'm getting whiplash from it going to supreme edge and then right back to silly lighthearted comedy. Something that dark lurking beneath the surface is completely out of place with the mood of the comic and really taints the relaxing, whimisical atmosphere of their daily lives. Of course, it's been foreshadowed that something was amiss from the start, but literal genocide is one hell of a doozy to be contending with in a comedy.

Say how old is this doujin?

Artists usually write the date of publication on the last page. In this case, 2010/12/31.

Really cute, but with the latest update being in October 2020 I seriously doubt that this story will ever continue. And that chapter was already only 6 pages. Bit of a shame really, the characters looked cute and I am a sucker for classic tsundere stories

Why do we even exist? Just to suffer?

Pretty clearly looks male to me, not to mention the line about him going to a co-ed school so he should find a girl there.

That water bottle, it have the cap on ! ? ! ?

There are water bottles that have a cap with a little lid you can open instead of removing the cap. Infinitely more convenient, not entirely sure why the regular kind even exist but I could never go back to them.

same concept but more fleshed out and with a vampire.

Ah, a person of culture, I see.

Gotta heat up the meal to the right temp

However, overcooking your meal can lead to intense feelings of regret. Be careful, kids!

Not to mention punishing scanlators, both directly (those that worked together on the releases being taken down) and indirectly (those who translated different chapters of the same manga, eg. Fuzoroi and Choir). I don't understand why such a selfish request is being indulged, personally.

I really think you should reconsider. I would be livid if somebody I worked with took the scanlation work that I've collectively spent dozens of hours on down without so much as asking me first. If people agree, that's one thing, but it's extremely self-centred to completely disregard the effort other people put in.

No consent, no upload. That's how it's always worked here.

My understanding is that how it's always worked applies to groups, not a single person unilaterally deciding to trash the work of other people. Is this situation actually precedented?

Explanation for the double standard on your collabs would be nice too. What's the difference between your and others I collabed with?

I concur, nothing you worked on should be taken down without their consent if other people worked on it :)

Is it necessary to cause trouble for other people like this? This seems particularly problematic concerning something like Fuzoroi no Renri, which another scanlator picked up after you stopped and would be left holding the bag on a series where the first half is taken down. Making them translate an additional 23 chapters, or else putting their effort into translating the latest 40 chapters to waste, seems quite self-centred. Maybe if there's some pertinent reason I'm not understanding, but I really don't see how you even benefit by stopping people from reading manga you've translated already.

Extras like these are the perfect example of why I absolutely loathe manga that end as soon as they confess. Baby gays being domestic is the best part!! Some authors seem to think that yuri is about forced drama and norhing else but they've got it all wrong and if you don't draw your girls being cute and enjoying life together what's even the point.

(I know this one isn't over yet, just musing about yuri in general)

Is that an etruscan ceramic boar?

Not just any etruscan ceramic boar. It's an Etruscan, 600-500 BC, Ceramic, Boar Vessel.

Dont get me wrong, it was tame as far as blackmail goes but tamer than ghosting? I disagree.

Tong Tong specifically apologised for it and asked if Lin would forgive her and be friends. Lin Luxi agreed to that. In that extremely specific context, Lin was being a way bigger jerk. She could've just said "no, you blackmailed me, even if I forgive you I don't want to be friends with you". Even if that's not the real reason why she doesn't want to be friends, she had the most valid excuse possible to turn her down and didn't have to resort to ghosting someone who just apologised to her.

My "definition" is actually a simplified explanation given by Brandon Sanderson in his online lectures, and he never precisely correlates the number of rules with system hardness, instead zooming in on their narrative functions. :-)

I just read his essays about magic. It was pretty interesting, a lot of food for thought.

I think a realistic take on the last panel is that she took "eat" literally, and gave her a love bite. If we don't see a hickey or three on her neck in the next chapter I'm going to be very disappointed.

This is cute, but at the same time it's so hard for me to enjoy this kind of "humor". In no universe would anybody ever say "take off your clothes" instead of "your shirt is on backwards", so the entire premise is ridiculously forced beyond any shred of believability. Hard to call taking your clothes off when somebody tells you to take your clothes off a misunderstanding, isn't it?
