Wait. This isn't the same artist who did that "true story" about the candy kiss, is it? Is this a new trend among yuri artists?

EDIT: It is the same artist, lol. I was kinda hoping more artist would jump on the bandwagon but it looks like just one person doing it.

Ah yes, I was looking forward to the influx of Love Live Valentine's day manga.

Nice, I wasn't expecting this to be picked back up by anyone. If translations for this go until volume 2 we'll be able to thoroughly compare the first two volumes of the reboot to the original.

Is anyone else hoping they actually end up with the other girls? Miwa and Saeko just don't seem like a good match at all.

When there's an extremely long and descriptive title, you know that it's either a LN adaptation or a Twitter comic. Honestly, I was expecting the latter.

lol It's actually amazing how the "long sentence as the title" for LN, manga, and anime hasn't fallen out of vogue yet. I guess it's proven to be an effective way to draw in readers if the cover artwork isn't enough considering the sheer volume of stuff coming out of Japan every day.

Well, that's thing people do in real life, I'm not sure why in a story grounded in reality a character couldn't have such flaws ?

I don't think a story having elements like cheating, age gaps, etc inherently make it more realistic, though. For example, I see people say stories about messy divorces are more "realistic" or "deep" than stories with happily ever afters when really, both occur in real life. It's just the vibes I'm getting from the first chapter with the focus on the smoke vapor, the ashes, and the whole grooming your friend's younger sister thing. It's too early to say for sure though.

Hmmm. I don't know if I love the whole ~humans are flawed~ angle (read: making characters flawed with things like age gaps, cheating, smoking, rape, etc for the sake of "realism" instead of just giving characters more depth personality-wise) this is taking. I don't know if there's a more appropriate term for it (I feel like 'edgy' would be too harsh) but a lot of manga/anime are guilty of doing it without even making the characters 3-dimensional in the first place. I don't want to judge this manga so harshly so early into its run so hopefully I'm just jumping the gun here.

Wow I really like the art....Everything about this feels high quality - the story, the art, the characters, etc. I just wish there were more chapters lol

Just read through the original and reboot of this story and it's pretty good! I like how the mangaka isn't afraid to vary the characters' hairstyles (though I did have trouble differentiating them initially). My main gripe is that I find the other club members more compelling than the MCs - frail girl and sleeping bag-chan in particular. Makes me wonder if it would have been better if the manga was set up from the getgo as an ensemble-cast rather than having 2 clear MCs.

Man there's something so wonderful about being able to read autobiographical lesbian stories. They make me feel less alone (but also more alone as a forever single lesbian lmao) These are all short and sweet and not like a full blown story anyway so I'm not that concerned about it showing too much of their lives.

Interesting that people think Chihiro might be a hidden yandere when it just seems to me that she's suuuuper shy. Like, maybe even shier than the MC herself, but she happens to be cute so she doesn't come off as weird as Sakiko does. She got super awkward after asking something as simple as "Do you like to eat your favorite things last too?" and was struggling to fill the dead air when she and Maaya were together. Not to mention she hasn't made any attempts to befriend anyone besides her two psycho fans (not that she knows about the true nature of one of them lol)

This recent trend of yuri artists making 4-page manga for twitter is a double-edged sword because while it means more content overall I'm always left wanting more ><

Cute!! It took me a second to realize that Maki was singing Aishiteru Banzai in the first one - I'm not used to it being translated to "I like you hooray" lol
