Abe-chin and Yoshida-senpai are dating, and it's not a secret.

Time for our protagonists to take a hint, perhaps?

Bonus points to Higashiyama for using the actual Londonderry Air in the artwork, and not just some random musical symbols. And especially not that horrible quasi-music clip art that manga artists are so fond of. You know the one I mean.

I really dont think Ruby knows, i think Ruby would be unable to hold back if she ever knowingly met Azusa

Yes, I think it's pretty obvious from this chapter that Ruby is still totally clueless. Which leaves us with the question of what that sideways glance from before was all about... Let's see. What's the worst case scenario for Azusa? How about this: Ruby's made it her mission to bring the gloomy and taciturn Azusa out of her shell, and has formulated a plan that involves "accidentally" running into her in the street and striking up a conversation. About magical girls, naturally. While Azusa's wearing the lamest outfit possible because she was only popping out to the convenience store. And then a monster appears which needs their combined strength to defeat it. To Be Continued!

In the first half of Chapter 2 Nacchan is 25, at the beginning of chapter 1 Kyouko is described as "an older friend of my sister", so unless it's poor wording, she's probably a bit older than Nacchan (not to mention she looks older too).

Or the meaning could be "an older girl who's a friend of my sister," which wouldn't tell us anything about the relative ages of Kyouko and Nacchan. Not that the exact size of the age gap matters in the slightest, of course.

Lots of early bloomers in Japan these days.

Did they have to put a whole panel dedicated to the chest of an 11 year old?

That's not the chest of an 11 year old...

"Dog collar yuri" sounds like it should be some kind of Vicar of Dibley fan fiction.

For a moment, I thought that was Ayano and Miyoshi on the telly there.

Oh, that reminds me. The hand washing discussion needs cleaning up...

Edit: Letter writing bot.

And there's an old one in one of the same threads...

But, is it yuri or not?

I don't even care. It's a SOL that actually manages to be funny for once, and for that reason alone it's gone straight into my favourites.

^ I'm not convinced that they're the same person (the eyes don't really match), but anyway, you might like to check the current state of research on this topic.

Is this manga only one volume?! It's on Japanese Amazon I think but I assumed there'd be more than one. Please, let there be more than one

There are actually no volumes yet. What's on Amazon is individual chapters for Kindle. It may keep running for years to come, for all we know. (Though probably not.)

Guys... guys is it normal to be coughing up blood when reading this super cute shit?

I think... ah, I do believe I'm dying

There are much worse ways to die.

I can't believe I was tempted to link some examples in the previous sentence.

I'm a horrible person.

I'm also confused by the line "Thank you for forgetting this book," by the way.

if you look closely you can see that it says "Thank you forgetting this book"
it's just a space missing between 'for' and 'getting'

Oh, right. Well, there go my dreams of becoming a proffraeder.

One of the best parts about Dynasty is seeing people type entire essays in a one-shots chapter discussions

Or, even better, several essays. Bonus points for exploring topics that break out of the straitjacket of slavish relevance to the source material.

The series page could use a note to the effect that the title of this manga is actually "Kanojo no Idea" ("The Idea of Her").

Also, Hokkaido is clearly the Scotland (78 000 km²) of Japan. How could anyone include a Proclaimers reference and still fail to realise that?

While looking for a way to turn off Twitter's clickbait suggestions (sadly, impossible), I discovered that it maintains a list of my interests based on my viewing history. Since that history consists almost exclusively of various manga artists, I was quite surprised to discover that I'm also interested in such diverse topics as Aretha Franklin, suits, college basketball... and cheese. Their algorithms are clearly in need of improvement...

It looks like the MochiMajo oneshots were shelved when they got the chance to do a proper series, but I did find a couple that never got translated. Caution is advised while reading, for various reasons.

And Rei's Cheat Mode activates! That loathsome staple of the isekai genre... which somehow seems much less objectionable in this context, perhaps because the story isn't just a blow-by-blow walkthrough of some crappy RPG. I wonder if this is a foreshadowing of all that stuff in the spoilers... or not?

I’m a bit confused about the Ooshima Tomo / Towa situation. They sound like they’re saying they go by a different name depending on the work, but aren’t they different people...? I dunno, is it related to their Sweet Pea / Cocoa Break aliases.

Perhaps it should have read " We usually publish... under different circle names?" It's entirely possible that the original Japanese doesn't specify who does the publishing, or how many there are of anything.

I'm also confused by the line "Thank you for forgetting this book," by the way.

So I ended up on the Only One Name TV Tropes page the other day, and was surprised to see that the Real Life section only mentions one mangaka, when there are literally hundreds of examples of monopseudonymic (pseudomononymic?) artists on Dynasty alone. Hell, there are even some who use numbers as pen names. (Though that's a different trope.) Just throwing this out there in case anyone here feels like editing it...

Also, I've noticed that the trope tends to be inverted by mangaka adopting extra names when they go "legit": Taiyaki, for example, has become "Nakamura Taiyaki" for the purposes of official English editions. Even though that's not a proper Japanese name at all, being the equivalent of something like "Cornish Pasty Johnson".

Because I happened to save this to my PC for some reason, I spotted that the colour pages are only 256 colours.
