W-was that it? That kinda sucked? I love age gap but this made it kinda weird. High schooler was just being toyed with until office lady decided that she wanted something more and then that was it huh. An unfortunate waste of time.
God dammit when I saw the meds on the table and her collapsing in what, chapter 11 I had a hunch and yup, the really pulled the "she was dying the whole time" card huh. Just when I was starting to feel the story was going somewhere... this author is lucky I like trashy gay drama!
God, chapter 2 of volume 10 just hit me like a truck... I just moved out from home a couple of months ago to go off to college, and while I didn't quite break off as unceremoniously as Adachi did, I almost feel the urge to despite how clingy my family is. AdaShima truly is a great character study, it all feel so "real."
I think the author honestly wants us to think that this was wholesome. Or maybe they think so. Or is that supposed to be kind of a creepy factor, that everyone treats it as if it's normal but it's fucked up. Well at least I can say I read it now.
Just got around to reading all the anime special novels, and uh what the shit??? I love this series but sometimes it treads some weird-ass territory. I kinda wish there was no Yashiro and alternate universe rebirth cycling thing going on and it was just about the progression of Adachi and Shimamura as people and in their relationship with each other but whatever. I’m still finding myself extremely fascinated with all of it.
