Ooh fuck yeah. There’s so many layers to her determination. That is some sexy sexy rivalry going on there, the addition of “I still remember being friends, and wanting to show her that she’s human” is just delicious. It really sells that she’d accept these terms even knowing she has low odds, because there’s so much feeling in it. Oh I’m so excited for this one.

Genuinely such a fucked up chapter development, this feels incredibly contrived, to the point of melodrama. You can totally feel the hand of the editor in here like “ah, but we need another volume, and we don’t know if them being together will be compelling” (it would).

Taking off the tinfoil hat, I’m not not sure how to feel about this. If this is just another way to extend the will-they-won’t-they, then it’s super shitty, it kills all the momentum, and Tsukushi’s character is being sacrificed for content.

On the other hand, i’ve definitely had moments where I fuck things up by being unable to take the last step. There’s a plausible, if narrow, path toward this decision being acceptible, if they really lean in and take this seriously. I doubt this is the case, because on top of adding more complexity to the simple concept of the story, it would have a lot to contend with—Tsukishi hasn’t been shown to have any particular trauma about making important decisions, and more seriously her reacting this way to a kiss is pretty egregious and would require a lot explaining.

I’m willing to give the mangaka the benefit of the doubt for a chapter or two even if I don’t think it’ll pan out to be anything other than what it seems, but even if it does, I really really don’t like this development, and I don’t think it serves the work as we’ve seen it so far.

Okay, I’ve got one from page clippings a friend made. The main character is a tan gyaru werewolf, and from what I saw it seems like she has a vaguely BDSM-y thing going on with a member of the faculty at her school who might be a vampire?

Hmmm. The first chapter was really good--I liked the idea of a girl with observational skills and a mysterious physical aptitude carving a place for herself in this noble has and deepening her relationship with its lady.

But now it seems to be signalling a girl-of-the-week type of deal where she's just cool and they fall for her. I'm really not as interested in that, especially since they seem to be giving her mary sue powers.

I'll keep an eye on this, but my expectations have dived from potential new fave to passable yuri pretty quickly here. Alas.

I love how GRS-'s style has evolved. I'm not always a fan of the gags (though this one is really great) but the style is so cool, i love the... vhs?... colors and faces and lines and stuff.

Ugh... Gross. I don't get this obsession with yuri authors to push the story towards "yay pregnancy!" with lesbian couples... And this one is even grosser because imagine if she had actually "registered as the owner" and surprise now there's a baby coming. Like what if she doesn't want a child...? Would she get nadeshiko a robot-abortion??

I think mentions of yuri pregnancy are pretty rare, though? And it’s perfectly reasonable for gay ppl to have thoughts about being able to have children with our partners, and that being reflected in a certain percentage of fantasies and art? And the immorality and uncomfortableness of the registering = pregnancy thing is… pretty plainly the text of this chapter, even if in isolation our mc might have some positive thoughts toward having a family with her GFbot?

I don’t think there’s any grounds to describe an obsession, honestly. I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
