This was less fucked up than what I was expecting (there was another oneshot with a similar setting).

Mind to share a name or link please?

If there's a relationship even hinted at between women, it can be tagged with yuri

Except this work didn't have a yuri relationship. Also what is subtext?

It doesn't matter if the girl is bisexual or lesbian it has to involve two females, and this is not a relationship between two girls,it's a polyamorus or a friendship idk everything but yuri

Exactly. There's either sexual nor romantic relationship between females here. Also usually the works including the bisexual and yuri tag usually ends with the female couples together. I guess the yuri tag can be difficult to use when combined with certain tags, but for example, I really doubt someone here would classify a porn movie into the lesbian genre just because it includes a FF scene, specially if it evolves into a FFM scene. It would be classified into its respective genre so the consumer knows what to expect.

that's not a problem, if they upload other things besides yuri it's fine, this clearly is not,but even so it is tagged as one

Totally agree. I'm open to read almost any other genre/tags, and I've done it. But I was hoping for a nice yuri story and this is everything but yuri. Also is kinda disappointing to see that the yuri tag is still there, is like that Transistor Venus thing all over again

I think everyone is just mad that there is a man involved here

Personally I was kinda mad because of the misleading tags.

The heroine even not really love the princess and only think her as friend, then boom sudden polyamory bullshit and both of them accepted it easily, kudos for author, very great writing skill indeed.

Agee. Is literally a het story about a prince that married a couple of girls who also happen to be best friends. No yuri at all.

Yuri tag should go away, since it is more like a bisexual story. Also hated it.

Also check out Transistor Venus, which is essentially a lighthearted lesbian version of James Bond but in space. It doesn't take itself very seriously, but it's a fun ride and the artstyle has a nice retro charm to it.

Yeah but you should warn them that is not yuri as is. I was very disappointed about Transistor because of the wrongful tags. Is not yuri because the MC has a MALE love interest and even when she have sex with women just do that as a way to kill time. She is totally head over feet with a man. I don't really know how it ended since I dropped like at the first chapters and read the final one very quickly without paying too much attention

Beautiful. I really hope more and more stories with my favorite tags: lolicon and age gap. Add NSFW and I could die peacefully

Soooo it finally switched to subtext. I knew I was doing the correct thing by dropping it like 5 or 6 chapters ago.

Loving it already.

Not a fan of muscle girls but this one caught my attention. Also I was expecting more echiiness, I hope getting more of that on next chapters!

Having said this, I think its a shame when good stories like this don't even get a chance to be read by the yuri purists simply because it lacks a tag.

Bur seriously I do agree with the sentiment that judging a book by its cover or in this case tags is generally not a wise policy outside of a few rare red flag tags that depict something a person has some sort of psychological problem with.

Well, some of us come here for the yuri and nothing else. There may exist some good stories but if they're not what I'm looking for I'm on my legitimate right to ignore it and go for something that actually interests me. The tags are made for that, to help us to decide which works to read. If I'm thirsty I'll look for water or something similar, not cake, it doesn't matter how tasty it may look. Of course that doesn't mean I'll never taste it, it just that I'm not in the mood for cake. Or if I'm not into gore/lolicon I won't read some gorish/loli manga just because they say it is good.

Don't get me wrong. I love the autor's works, but why don't make a regular slice of life Manga with two girls of different age that happen ti live together because of a tragic event, without all the flirty and subtexty stuff that appears even in the covers? That way we would know what are we aiming to instead of be expecting a relationship that may or may not happen.

The story have much potential, and the art is great, But I'll only comeback if the magical tag YURI eventually appears. I'm crossing all my fingers for it

I really think a romantic relationship between Shino and Nozomi would be a mistake by the author. The arc of the story is the formation of a family when the initial bond between them is traumatically torn away. At the start, the only goal either of them has was to not be an imposition on the other. Shino wanted to grow up and get a job quickly so as not to be a burden on Nozomi, who she suspected didn't want the responsibility. Nozomi, on the other hand, didn't know whether Shino wanted her in her life at all, much less be a caretaker.

Watching them grow closer to the point that they can demand of each other to not hide their problems has been very satisfying to watch. That there's still ambiguity on whether they are creating a older/younger sister bond or a mother-daughter bond is interesting (translator's comment notwithstanding). For this to switch to a romantic relationship would risk erasing the complex family dynamic for an easy way out of the story--especially if the story ends when the romantic relationship begins (like 99% of all romantic stories in all mediums).

Your opinion and analysis are great, it gave a new perspective on the work, but then why make it all subtexty? Why enter into that territory? Wouldn't it be better with a simpler family like relationship instead of a cuasi romantic one?

I mean, they say stuff like "this photo could be captioned with 'we just got married'". If that's not subtexty I don't know what is; but then in my personal opinion subtext-tag is cancer and should be purged.

This. Call me purityfag but I tend to avoid all subtext works. Its all or nothing for me. I mean, why don't make it clear without all the "hidden messages" and "non verbal communication" that leads to nothing? I don't want to waste time in a "MAYBE" when I can have a YES (or even a NO).

The same goes for IRL relationships.

Anyway, can y'all actually promise me you don't feel sexual attraction for actual kids? Because that's what still worries me. I don't care about what you watch and stuff, but I still think it's weird for someone to feel excited reading this things.

What if they do? It's not like they're raping kids all day. Feeling attracted to kids is not the samr to actually abusing a kid. That's why some of those guys come and read lolicon, to control those urges

It's not about distinguishing fiction from reality.

Except it is. If it were a real CP set it would be a very different situation.

It's that people don't understand there are many others out there who see this as justification of their feelings towards those who are underage DESPITE it being fiction.

A minority. You'll find that people for any other controversial topic. Not only lolicon.

Just because some can step back and realize they're just drawings doesn't mean everyone does and supporting child pornography, drawn or otherwise, should NEVER be a thing.

So just because a very small minority can't adapt to society we should ban every controversial art manifestation? Or are you saying that people should be silenced if they don't share your opinion about any hard to digest topic as lolicon/drugs use/violence on media/homosexuality/etc etc?

To all the people defending this with the “it’s fictional so it’s ok” Itou Hachi is perfectly allowed to draw this kind of stuff since it is fiction. What’s really sick and twisted is that people are not just reading it but enjoying it and there even might be people who are masturbating to this stuff. Just the possibility of that being true sickens me to no end.Like seriously take a step back and think about it, you guys are defending child porn, fictional or not. And before anyone says “I’m not a pedophile I would never think about having se with a real child” THEN WHY TF ARE YOU READING THIS?
And I thought ppl on this site were better than those sick male otakus who have wet dreams about fucking their favorite 8 year old anime girl

idgaf about what people chooses to fap. Masturbation is about fantazising, not going to out and rape as much kids as they want. And as other poster said, lolicon may help to most of people attracted to kids to keep it on the fantasy realm and never hurt any child, the same way violent videogames may help most people to discharge their rage without having to kill their bosses os something. Note my use of the word MOST because there's always the crazy guy that rapes or kills because a work of fiction. If you clicked on the manga an read it because of muh art, it is ok. If you read it to fap to it, its ok. If you read it (or worst, didn't read it) just to discuss and say things and offend people and somehow feel superior to them just because they doesn't share your opinions then is not ok.

I mean yeah I know, but I’m actually worried about the people that enjoy this kind of things. If someone is getting hot with this it means they are pedophiles, and that really, really worries me. Especially because the girl in this manga is really young. It would be awful if someone would want to do this kind of things with little girls irl. That’s what worries me, that some of the people that actually enjoy this are planning on doing something like this, and that this manga is only encouraging them.

You've said the magic words (? ): IRL. If people comes and read manga is because they want to avoid reality at least for a while. Sure, there are some crazy guys out there that can't tell reality and fiction apart, but they are the less. The kind of people that do the crazy stuff shown in lots of genres, not only lolicon. Think gore, terror, violence, rape, mutilation, incest, or the John K. Peta works.

Before the morality patrol comes into action I just want to say that manga works are works of fiction. There's no real people involved, it doesn't promote anything, it may help as a cathartic and FURRY GIRLS AREN'T REAL. If you wanna apply real world rules to ti works of fiction then you probably shouldn't be on the internet at all
