I avoid yuri with tragedy but I kinda liked this one. Stories where the reader shares the protagonist's tenuous grasp of reality interest me. It was somewhat well executed but the cause of her death confused me at first, I think it works better if it really was an accident

It really isn't objectification. Objectification is meant to be degrading and demeaning. She's just a horny adolescent who likes tits. Also, the other girls said she doesn't like her own body, and that it isn't so bad having someone obsess over it. It's flattering. There, it's been addressed.

It's not that simple. A lot of the time Harumi-san is treated as the thing that is attached to her boobs, and that's objectification.

I think the protagonist might eventually realize/reveal that she likes Harumi as a person and not just for her boobs, and that would be healthier for this series, I feel.

Some authors should hire some writing help. This development is beyond moronic.

Hahaha yes. Seeing this author mess up this bad was quite sad, the story had a pretty decent start.

On the other hand it makes it stand out a bit instead of being the same old song and dance so it evens out i geuss.

I don't think such a poor and disjointed development is gonna do this series any favors. If anything, you don't want your series to stand out because of domestic violence themes that felt out of place.

I really like how this one is written. Those two feel so much alive to me. It certainly helps that the facial expressions and body language are also very on point.

I think this might be the first time the "secretly dating" line wasn't said in first person. For a moment there I thought the chapter would be from the pov of a classmate who already figured out they are dating. I got all excited for nothing. Cute as always, though.

I'm afraid this setting will only detract from the relationship between those two developing nicely. I just couldn't get behind those dialogues full of vague worldbuilding, and I felt some lines were just corny.

I hope I'm wrong, though. You don't get to see muscle yuri very often.

With the release of a new chapter and a return of this series to my immediate notice, I feel obligated to chime in late in this discussion thread with a single contribution to the ongoing dialog.

"Viz did it too!" is not a good argument. Big companies that pay their employees make all sorts of stupid, awful mistakes all the time. The fact that money is being exchanged for labor has zero meaningful correlation to the quality of that labor. For the purposes of this post I have no opinion over whether the accent was the right choice or not. I merely needed to point out that this particular argument is quite terrible, and should not be made by anyone, ever.

What a silly overstatement. I found interesting to know a published translation already tried scottish as an analogy to an unconventional japanese accent. It might not work as a complete justification by itself, but it isn't devoid of reason either.

uhhh, this story was kinda pointless, wasn't it? Are things like this known to actually happen? It just felt to me like it was some weird fantasy that wasn't developed into really anything in this story. I'd understand it if it had actually happened to the author or something.

Since when did a story need a point other than to entertain?

That's not what I meant. It's just that the author brought this ridiculous premise of someone getting saved by porn and didn't really do anything with it. It bothered me. I didn't want to come out so negative, though, I like this author and got confused because I was expecting something better from them. Maybe people who can relate to this fantasy will get more enjoyment
