Basically stumbled at the finish line. No resolution for Aoi's growing feelings, and Reika goes from not really thinking all that much of Mihane to "I love you, please be with me forever" in the span of basically one chapter, only to have things end in the most generic, lazy way possible with the main couple not even getting together.

Aoi x Mihane was far more compelling

To be fair this is only 1 volume and 7? chapters long. It just seems poorly conceived to begin with. I expect things to just go back to the status quo after someone snaps her out of it.

Edit: With just 2 pages of context in the preview for the magazine this was published in as a clue, looks like she does snap out of it right away after seeing the key and realizing Prez set that whole thing up. No clue what happens after that though.

All that praise being heaped on Miura knowing what's to come just makes me sad.

The problem mostly comes from how unapologetic and cold both characters involved are. If they were at least anguishing a little bit over this then I could more easily forgive it. They don't seem to give a shit though, not about her husband, not about their daughter, they come off as if they aren't doing anything remotely wrong. Meanwhile Yukiko needs to watch with a smile on her face as her friend stick her tongue down her mom's throat, knowing full well that its killing her inside.

Moral of the story: if you're unhappy with the relationship you are in speak up to your partner or your friends or family adultery/cheating is a horrible thing to do

That's really it all it comes down to really. Whether your dating someone or married to someone, you always have the option of talking things out, or ending the relationship if its just not working. Cheating on them because you aren't emotionally fulfilled anymore makes you nothing more than a piece of trash since no one is forcing you to stay in a relationship. Even worse is she's committing a crime by being with her daughter's underage friend. If it gets out, it wont just be the relationship between her and her husband that is ruined. Everyone involved will be stained and ruined by this. Imagine having to move somewhere and then having to deal with your coworkers bringing that shit up. Imagine the bullying Yukiko will have to endure just so her mother can have her pussy licked. And you know what, I don't think Chitose even gives a shit what happens to her family judging from Yukiko's inner monologue of her always seeming depressed. Sayuri certainly doesn't care about what happens to her friend, because if she did she wouldn't have been such a smug piece of shit about it.

Its actually really bad.

"Oh, so you noticed I'm fucking your mom huh? Haha, I know you wish it was you lol"

The recent chapter doesn't do anything to make Chitose less of an adulterous slut and just makes me feel more bad for her husband. Basically, marrying the person she loved and having a child wasn't enough to make her happy I guess. Sucks to be her daughter, not only having your mom do her best to ruin the family, but also having a best friend that knows your feelings, but intentionally flirts around in front of you, and makes out with your mom in places where its easy for you to notice.

And I'm sorry, but I just can't get on board with her being alright with all of this because there's "love" involved. Seems like she's just resigned herself to what is happening and is waiting for everything to come crashing down, which it will.

can anyone tell me how serious the angst/drama is in this series? if it's pretty heavy, i'll get hella depressed, but if it has a happy and sweet conclusion that outweighs the heavy stuff, i can tough it out. especially the het stuff, don't like het at all but i can stomach it so long as it's not a situation like two girls develop relationship and guy comes along and destroys it by hooking up with one of them, though i could still stomach it if the girls end up together before the het relationship gets serious. i also don't care too much about spoilers so long as it's just like who ends up with who and what relationships succeed/fail

There's a lot of angst, but not really that hard with the main three characters. The side characters featured in the latest chapter have their own stuff going on. If what you want is for the girls in this series to end up happy, you'll be fine, though not necessarily in the way you want.

2 of the 3 main girls don't get with the person they want to be with, but its implied one person's feelings have changed and a happy ending awaits. The other gets with someone not introduced into the story, but they finally moved on from their previous trauma.

I guess that's as much of a conclusion for these two as we're gonna get. I'm fine with that I guess, they both very obviously understand how each other feel now even without saying it.

I don't know what the fuck is going on.

I'm going to guess that she never confessed in the original timeline, and thus remained friends with A-chan, resulting in her taking care of her "kids". However here, because she confessed and got her heart broken in the worst way, they drifted apart and she fell in love with her co-worker when she became an adult.

I hope Chapter 6 doesn't shake things up even more.

I'm not a perfect person either, but Remi's sophistry didn't really do it for me. I'm actually awful, maybe more than the people in this manga, but even I've never shown that kind of contempt towards a person I was with.

But I can't deny that Amano knows how to stir you up and get you mad, or make you feel for the people in her works while simultaneous making you want to kill them. She's a master and I look forward to reading the rest of Ayame 14 when its translated and whatever else she produces.

Having read this for the second time, I can sympathize with everyone, even Remi (who I think wasn't completely honest about what she felt for Ruki or Sachi). However Sachi definitely comes off as the absolute worst person in the whole thing, even until the end. She was completely serious about fucking Remi at the end, and was willing to tell Ruki that she would if she felt like it while not allowing anyone else to touch her "girlfriend". I don't even think for one second that Sachi actually loves Ruki in any way since even a sadist has limits to what they would do to someone they love and Sachi seems perfectly content to stomp on Ruki's heart without a second thought, that's more the kind of behavior you show towards someone you completely despise. She's an obedient dog that Sachi can fuck over without feeling bad at all about it, since she'll always come crawling back to her. Ruki is at fault for this too for going along with it, though I'm surprised their "friends" are okay with one of them being treated that way so blatantly. Hell, I'm pretty sure Asuna even warned Ruki about Remi, presumably for a good reason, but is okay with this arrangement and turn of events, even after having her own heart broken by someone under somewhat similar circumstances (loving someone who can't give you what you actually want).

The worst part isn't even all this, its that Sachi didn't once apologize for what she did. It would be easier to swallow if she at least felt somewhat bad about breaking her best friend's heart like that, but her expressions during chapter 13 clearly tell you that she doesn't feel even an ounce of remorse for her actions. Meanwhile, Ruki's internal dialogue shows that she wanted Sachi to reject her if she didn't actually want to be with her because she knows that she didn't want to actually have sex with her. But now her personality and pride have been crushed and she doesn't even care anymore about herself as long as Sachi doesn't abandon her. Remi didn't really do anything wrong, she just enabled Sachi to be her true self, and I'm sure even she was surprised at the level of cruelty that someone could express towards someone they supposedly cared about.

This whole thing was a roller coaster ride of pain and I'm glad its over.

Edit: After reading the extra chapter a third time, you could get the sense that I guess Sachi does care about Ruki somewhat, and that their relationship became better over time. However I still believe that its like Remi says, that Sachi is straight, and would toss her aside without even thinking about it when the time came for her to love a man.

The thing you have to understand about Aikatsu is that Ichigo is quite possibly retarded. Its made clear during the series that she is not all there.

Ster can mean Star in Dutch so it's basically the same, just different. Could be a typo. Don't know about other languages with Ster as Star.
My guess is a typo since the latter page says star.
Also this was confusing to read, what was happening?

Aoi went nuts (like School Days crazy) after Ichigo left, and was projecting her image onto Ran, who decided to pretend to be her in order to keep Aoi's heart from shattering completely.

I'm not too fond of her "I'm a REAL lesbian so that's how I know Tsukasa is just going through a phase" nonsense, but its still good to get some manner of resolution to this character arc, knowing whats ahead.
