It was good to see the delinquent girl being more assertive in chapter 4; she's sensitive, but not a doormat. I like how everyone in this series so far is more complex than they initially appear, without their hidden depths simply being a direct reversal of what you see on the surface.

It's good, until you realize that if the director wasn't cutting her out of so many shoots she would probably be alot better.

Idk, hard to find this heartwarming

Yeah, the more you think about it, the more ways you notice their relationship is messed up.

Fortunately, I'm pretty messed up too, so it's fine by me.

I'm with the crowd that finds the plot impossible to take seriously at this point. Between lesbian seduction elemental Touma and her harem of teachers, the characters have gone beyond the realm of plausible human behaviour.

I'm gonna keep reading it to see where it goes, because it sure seems to be going places, but it's become a pretty different story from what I was expecting at the outset.

Ritsu sure has some issues, but as long as Ichika knows what she's getting into, it's okay, right...?

The only thing I can think of that could explain her actions is if the earrings she was wearing in chapter 2 were given to her by someone very close to her who died. If it were just an ex who left her, she wouldn't still be wearing them if her memories were that painful, and reacting that badly to being given earrings makes some sense if it makes her feel like she's "replacing" her lost love.

Friend...FRIEND!!!? WTF WAS THAT!!? What a painful ending. That simple word, "friend". What a stab. The quick and rushed story line is pretty typical, but that ending...goddamnit. I wish we had a BLAM button

As abrupt as the ending was, the last couple of pages made it pretty clear that she doesn't just see Chiho the same way as any other friend.

Something has been bothering me, about this manga, for a while. I just couldn't figure out what it was. Then it dawned on me. They're killing the romantic meaning, of the kiss. seriously how are they going to end the series. They can't end it with a big dramatic kiss, between the loving couple. I mean, how can they distinguish, that one kiss, as different, or special, from all of the other kisses, they have given, throughout the entire series. I think they've painted themselves into a corner on that one.

Well, to some extent the manga itself has already addressed that. Natsuko's major conflict from the beginning has been that she feels weird about kissing somebody just for the sake of convenience. So if there ever is going to be a big dramatic conclusion, I think the change will be more of an internal one: a realization that the kissing has meant more to them than just swapping for a while. If the mangaka wanted to go that route, having Haruko and Natsuko lose the ability to swap and have to figure out what they are to each other now that they're not swap-buddies any more would be an obvious way to do it.

Or it could just stay a straightforward comedy manga and not have a big climactic resolution at all. That's pretty likely.

At this point, I'm ready to say that Haruko and Natsuko are already a couple and they just haven't realized it yet.

shlick showed up again. Is this a new english word?

It's not really new. It's been used a lot in this very forum for years. And I heard it quite some time before I even came here.

I'm pretty sure it was originally coined by Clay, the author of the Sexy Losers/Thin H Line webcomic, waaay back around the early 2000s.

And here I thought 'Bloom into you' was slow af

Well this is a gag manga. I'm treating this as a yuri comedy (as in the yuri part is used purely for comedy purposes) and am not expecting any development at all and y'all should probably too because if you expect any development in this series you can probably expect dissapointment. After all, while she doesn't seem to be homophobic, Komaki haven't even shown any indication or interest on being gay in the first place.

I mean, she did seem to enjoy feeling up Hishikawa's boobs.

The fact that they both bit each other hard enough to draw blood is a little scary. That takes some serious effort.

I'm not so sure the one on top is the dominant one in this case, either. She looks a little nervous to me, while the one on the bottom is just staring up expectantly. To me, that's more of a "well, what are you waiting for" look than an eager-to-please look.

Maybe it's one of those things where different people see different emotions in their expressions, like a yuri Mona Lisa.

uhh damn she was into some real hardcore masochism play or that first crush was an asshole

It's not exactly spelled out, but my read on it was that her crush was bullying her but managed to accidentally awaken some complicated feelings in her in the process.

I also gotta take issue with all the people in this thread making excuses for Touma. It doesn't matter if she's being maliciously manipulative, or if she's just carelessly insensitive, the end result is the same. She's leaving a string of broken hearts in her wake exclusively because she doesn't spend any time thinking about how anyone else feels. She doesn't deserve your excuses, and I'd bet she knows exactly what she's doing. Yuki tries to get closer, and Touma just brushes her off with a smile. She comes and literally begs to have her feelings acknowledged, and Touma literally laughs it off with an insincere "sorry".

If this character was a guy, would any of you guys be this forgiving of that kind of callous behavior? Somehow I doubt it.

Well, what's she supposed to do, though? The start of the second chapter makes the point that girls fall in love with her just by her existing in their presence, and she's unable to fully return their feelings. Should she just avoid everyone completely? I think that's taking too much responsibility for other people's emotions.

I'm so used to the whole trope of vampires just being able to sip a bit of blood to get by in most stuff like this that the casual assumption that, yeah, they just tried to murder each other is a bit of a surprise.

It's not made 100% clear how vampires work in this setting anyway. I'm choosing to assume that they just really, really want blood and can't hold back once they start drinking, rather than actually needing it to survive, because that raises fewer awkward questions about how many other people they must be killing offscreen.

Yeah, Touma isn't being dishonest or manipulative, she just... doesn't really seem capable of forming a deep relationship with one person at this point in her life. It's hard to dislike her. If anything, I feel a little bad for her, since girls are probably going to keep being disappointed in her and she can't understand why.

There's something oddly cathartic about a Kodama Naoko story where the blonde is the one who ends up taking the lead.

We have that phrase about scales in English too, although it might be a bit old-fashioned now.

A swordboys doujin where they're neither swords nor boys is kind of a baffling concept, but if this the result then I won't complain.

Maybe it's a supernatural story where she's somehow got memories of someone else's life.

I just kind of assumed it was a reincarnation thing, yeah. The mention of the apartment being a bit old-fashioned and the presence of the old CRT TV, compared to the modern flatscreen in the narrator's apartment, makes me think Kuniko and Mihoko's story might have happened a few decades ago.

Well there's two way this series can go now. Either Junior-chan actually dies or magical yuri plot armor saves the day. I don't know which one would I prefer. I don't want Junior-chan to die but I just know that if we go down the magical yuri plot armor route it'll be some very stupid bullshit inb4 Junior-chan was also a vampire all along. Well for now all I'm hoping is that if we do go down the death route, Vampire-senpai won't pull out some unessecary Romeo-Juliet drama and be like "if you die I'm dying with you" or something stupid.

My prediction is that Iris is somehow going to sacrifice her life to save Sara, since the foreshadowing at the end of the first couple of chapters kinda suggests that Sara survives but loses Iris. I'm not sure how that could be set up in a non-contrived way, but I'm also not sure that'll be an obstacle.

Hah, it's not everyday I see a MadoMagi comic where Homura manages to embarrass herself to death with her own suaveness.

BTW, wooberjig, who are those girls in your avatar, and where did you get it?

It's Io and Rosetta from Granblue Fantasy: and it's from this image: https://dynasty-scans.com/images/7548

The thing I like about this story is that it's clear that the main characters really are getting better at communicating with each other. Just... very, very gradually.

'Cheating' tag? Since she already have a bf or husband.

Well, we don't know how serious or exclusive they are. Could just be someone she picked up.
