Again, we are either having a first-row seat to Su's nightmares, or the webcomic got axed and had to wrap up the planned story in the three remaining strips.

Aight, nice, I liked it, I kinda had the feeling Ruri wasn't in love or didn't feel the same for Mayuko, so it would've been weird really that at the end she just changed her mind or ended up being in love just because of the confession. So that's great. It's the first "don't end up together" story that doesn't make me feel sad for any of them. It also doesn't feel forced, as I said before, it made a lot of sense, and the characters showed growth and developed anyway, so I'm happy.

I liked that about the open ending, as well. It's good that they are both upfront about their feelings or lack thereof, and the fact is that feelings change. If they keep spending time together, either Mayuko's infatuation with Ruri will cool off and they will be just friends and colleagues, or Ruri will fall for her, in turn. Both futures are good.

Politics and rivalries and actual plot aside, what I really liked about this chapter was all of the maids finally finding their courage to overcome their fear of Frost. ^_^

It always just takes one brave person to kickstart the process. :-)

I like that the time travel rules are similar to Steins;Gate in a way. The concept of convergence unless there are enough/significant changes that would lead them to a different ending.

Never played Steins;Gate, but this whole setup is quite plausible from a systems-theoretic point of view. Most persistent systems have negative feedback mechanisms that return them to stable attractor states after minor deviations. It is only if sufficient deviations are accumulated faster than the feedback can revert that the whole system undergoes a rapid regime change. Once that occurs, as the same negative feedback now stabilize the system towards the new attractor state.
