There are plenty of books which also enter that territory never mind actual human history with clans and royalty.
It's not in any way exclusive to yuri or even manga/anime in general. I would say it's most common in medieval fantasy regardless of the medium.

Yes it was a live show from the voice actors. I wasn't there but from the sounds of it she messed up the piano and then broke down on stage due to her mistake. Everyone rallied to support her.

I don't know what was more entertaining, the doujin or the stories in the comments.
