Hey is this stalled? Seems at least a year since last release.

For a while we were waiting for the Tanks of the 2nd volume to come out. We got the RAWs of them a couple months ago. The first chapter has been translated, and is now awaiting editing. So it shouldn't be too much longer now.

i haven't read everything on this topic, but may i suggest can we have a download "whole manga/all chapters in a zip" button for completed mangas? thanks

This is purposefully not available. Since we are a reader site, not a download site.

Any plans to offer an option of changing the sites color scheme? Like opposed to a white back drop you could make it black.

I would be interested in that. Problem is that I am not really a designer, so I don't think I could come up with good alternative color schemes. If someone can make a good mockup of one, I wouldn't be opposed to implementing it.

I have no plans to extend tag blacklisting/whitelisting to the browsing pages.

Not sure if this has been covered (if it is, profuse apologies), but I'd love to see tags for high school/college/adult focused manga. Maybe leave off the first one, since 80% of the non-Touhou releases would fit in it, but college and adult are categories that are a lot less frequent.

Plus, and I speak only for me here, but there are times when I really want to read stories that aren't about teenagers. It'd be nice to have an easy way to find them.

I think it is a good idea. Best way to get it done is to start suggesting those tag changes for chapters you know of.

Hey folks, my apologies if this was posted already, but has there been any discussion of a Multi-Tag search function? Not exactly a necessity, but it would be nice given the ever expanding library of Dynasty Reader.

Nah, its on my "To Do" list. I just haven't decided exactly how I want to implement it, so other things have higher priority.

Did the JSON page for viewing a single chapter. It can be viewed by appending .json onto a chapter url, (ex: http://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/notes_from_the_garden_of_lilies_ch07.json). Should give you a starting point while I do the other pages.

Is it ok if I try my hand at an Android app that would just parse the site HTML to get the catalogue and images? Since there's no open API or anything...

I have been planning to make a JSON api. The main reason I haven't yet is because I didn't think anyone would use it. I will try to get something quick done soon.

Hmm, so I guess the blacklist just removes chapters from the most current release/recently added lists, rather than going back to populate them with older chapters.

Would there be any chance of the thumbnails for the directory to be put back? Sometimes, I don't remember the name of things, and seeing them makes it easier to find a series.

Yea, its on my list. Probably one of the next things I will do, but not sure when.

Don't like "story within a story" stories, its really putting a dampener on this for me

The thing that bothered me about this one was it seemed set up to be part of a series, or at least have a follow-up. Not that it wasn't good on its own, it just sorta left me hanging in that sense.

I feel that way about a lot of stories in Wildrose.

One idea is an extension of the current system. So for most cases the system will work as it does currently, but with support for special syntaxes like the following:

• yuri, romance would show all results that have both Yuri and Romance tag.
• yuri, -nsfw would show all results tagged with Yuri but don't have NSFW tag.
• yuri, angst / drama should all results with Yuri tag and either Angst or Drama tag.

Also at this time, I don't think I will be expanding White/Black lists past recently added and released pages. Except for the RSS feeds.

Well, there should at least be an option in the search to exclude tags with a -het type syntax, right?

As I said, I have no idea. I know there are use cases the search system doesn't address at this moment, that I want it to in the future. But I haven't really thought specifically how it will do so.

I skimmed the rest of the thread and didn't see an explicit answer, so: am I correct in assuming that the eventual search overhaul with respect to tags will also include your tag blacklist/whitelist?

No idea, haven't really decided the specifics on that.

I Don't know what problems they are having but i am unable to open up my lists, i click on them and nothing happens. Altough i can still access them by accessing their adress.

Yeah, I just don't like those "We'll separate for a few years and then we'll reunite!" kind of endings. Also, spoilers, I guess.

I really dislike those endings as well. To me they always just come across as an author desperate to inject some drama into to the situation. Which is just drama for drama's sake, which is a lot worse then having no drama.

The time I think it was done well was in Girl x Girl by Chi-Ran. Since it didn't seem artificial at all.

I assume I understand what blacklist does, but what would whitelisting mean exactly? In any case, good to see this functionality added. I don't think I'll leave on any permanent filters, but it'll probably help occasionally navigating the release listings.

Only show entries that have that tag.

Added tag to blacklist, recently added shows an error page which disappears if I clean the blacklist again.

Fixed that.
