I really love how Fujieda Miyabi connects all of his/her works together. Something about crossovers just makes things more awesome, xD

On that note, I think the nexus of all her/his stories is the Amber Tea House, since it has a chapter where all of the characters from the other stories come there.

I hate how I got baited by the game. The dialogue options made me think Ano is romanceable so I kept choosing choices that obviously favors her, imagine my surprise when Yuna falls for Hina. I was so pissed. I tried really hard to like Hina but I'm just not into the tomboy loli type.

I know how you feel. In addition to the fact that I'm also not into the tomboyish type, the game actually didn't give any hint that Hina had any interest in romance. The impression that I got from her was that she's just the little sister type of character, so I was really taken aback when she ended up being Yuna's partner. Thankfully they were the last couple to develop so it didn't really ruin my experience per se. I think if they made Hina's character like Nao from nurse love addiction (sister character that showed romantic interest towards someone) then maybe I would have liked the pairing. Their story really just felt like rushed to me. Even Hina's introspective extra content towards Yunaa felt awkward.

That was kinda sad.

PMMM was actually my introduction to the yuri genre too! I still remember the bittersweet emotions I felt while I was watching Episode 7 and that beautiful ending song playing over the credits... what was the song called again... And I'm Home, right? I haven't listened to it in a while, so I'm gonna go do that now... Anyhow, that episode and that damn song got me into yuri, and now I won't ever be able to get out of it. And I don't really want to either!

Yep, that's the title. That song was so good, I really wish it was longer. Kyosaya's story was so tragic and beautiful that they still remain as my no.1 yuri couple today.

Like Minutoh, I really never truly bought the nagisaXmami paring that rebellion brought us. Sure I was happy to see that mami can no longer be stuck to the fifth wheel role all the time, but it still bothered me since there was no background between them and yet they looked closer to each other than the series' main pairing madohomu.
I think the only reason nagisa was put in rebellion was either she was the 2nd witch next to walpugris that fans will most likely remember or because people were already pairing mami with charlotte even before the movie.

I'd like to think the latter is true since the movie was like the ultimate service to the show's yuri fans since they put elements like:
1. Kyoko and Sayaka living together (not to mention that tear jerking confession at the final fight, lol)
2. Homura confirming that her feelings for Madoka were love, not just the extreme friendship that most magical girls show exhibit (although some people will argue that the "love" homura supposedly felt was some kind of other psychotic feeling. as for me, imprisoning the girl you love in a new reality is kinda standard. lol)
3. The movie ending with the characters being paired up. I mean come on, that's just like the creators telling everyone that those pairings are now official canon. :))

The anime covers the manga up until volume 3, chapter 8. We skipped all those chapter and picked up from there onwards. If you've seen the anime and start reading from chapter 26 (aka volume 3, chapter 9) you won't have missed anything at all.

I'm actually hoping for this to get a season 2 (which probably won't happen coz they kinda messed up the anime) so that's kinda one of the reasons I'm holding back on reading, lol.

But I heard it has a - 'bitter sweet' ending - by which I assume they mean characters die? Which puts me totally off.

You should totally watch it. Its a really good anime to pick up, and not fanservice that has a little anime in it for a change.

Also, nobody dies and the bittersweet ending would be referring to the harekaze sinking due to sustained damage during the final mission

Finally, I think this one is like Gakkou Gurashi in which the anime is over but the manga is still moving. I think, coz the manga is still in ongoing status.
