There's something about the artstyle of this that I really really like, I can't remember where else I've seen the style though. Is it similar to another artist's?

I was worried at the premise but this looks like it'll be really funny and cute. They haven't bothered any real girls as of yet, and their bond is adorable.

Rooting for you, Yuri Lover Lover kun!

After the very cliche setup and silly characters, I didn't expect this to actually address the consequences of her predatory and manipulative behavior in a substantial way. It seems like the author actually has some kind of serious statement to make. I have no idea whether she (he?) will be successful, but it's definitely interesting.

I was worried last chapter would be part of the shenanigans, so I am definitely surprised by this turn. It's handling it way better than expected. I definitely want to see where this goes.

In this case the fact that there wasn't a "cheating" tag was a spoiler, haha.

It feels like they moved backwards from where their conclusion left off. Nina is still being more secretive than she needs to be, Amane takes it for granted that she doesn't need to look into why she's hiding things even after how that backfired on her last time, and Ryou is back to feeling like the odd one out in the trio.

Which is such a shame, I enjoyed their arc well enough.

I just remembered that we were warned of this way back in chapter one.

This looks fun! I wonder how long the miscommunication will go for.

I think it needed to be longer, and the characters introduced needed to not just be throw-aways. Like that bear hoodie girl who was built up and then offed so suddenly, or those girls introduced at the end who existed solely to give to antagonist a reason to turn on the protagonist and prove that she was indeed evil.

The most jarring thing was how many characters were brought in just to be immediately killed off even though they looked interesting. I feel like they could have managed the short length if they didn't waste so many pages doing that multiple times. It didn't add to anything, and it didn't help make the atmosphere feel any more dreadful after the first one.

Probably the best-written killing game I've read was The Long Walk, because there was actually an established setting that explained the existence of the game and what happened to winners and their wishes.

The Long Walk by Stephen King? Would you recommend it as a book itself or is it just good in comparison to most in the genre?

Most others just settle for some vague explanation "something for rich people to bet on" or "a method of the government exerting control" which always feels like a lame attempt to sidestep the real reason: "There is a killing game because you wanted to read about a killing game."

Here they author didn't even attempt to explain what's going on or why, which has the benefit of at least not insulting the reader's intelligence with an explanation that's obvious bullshit.

That's a very optimistic way of looking at it, I like looking at it that way. I hope one of these kids eventually wishes for the games to end, though. We didn't see what these two wished for, so maybe they wished for exactly that :D

I'm just here wondering why they didn't even try to stop battle royals all together. Like do they even continue after this one? It's just so strange there's no real motive behind the battle royals now. The story could have been better if it was just a drama about a killer on the loose.

Yeah, in a super murderous free-for-all run by some organization that gives out wishes, you think they would mention a reason or that one of our victors would be interested in stopping those horrors, considering they should be pretty scarred for life from all that. Hard to root for protagonists who just... don't care about that in this sort of story? Imagine Naegi getting out of Dangan Ronpa and just chilling with his sister and ignoring everything else in the world.

...And I don't fully understand what happened with Karen at the end, why would You get to be on her own when Karen seemed willing to kill You if she left? So many questions.

We could make a better Yuri Killing Game (That would cool let's do that).

There's https://dynasty-scans.com/series/angel_game but it's subtext at best. It is an interestingly written take on a killing game though, it feels like everything left unanswered was done so purposely and I liked the ending in a way.

I don't know what note I expected this volume to end on, but it wasn't bittersweet zombie apocalypse romance.

I love it.

I don't think the author is trying to condone voyeurism. Kuki isn't supposed to be a likable, sympathetic character, she's just an archetypical pervert. Don't take this manga too seriously!

Of course. I wasn't saying it was condoned or anything about the author's intent. ^^

Okay, these creeps are just getting less and less charming with every chapter.

Yeah, I really have to agree...

I think you 2 are maybe the only people who find them anything like creepy. And if they are creepy you probably find most of the mochi-verse creepy - even though I'd of thought that impossible. Do you find kittens and puppies creepy?

I love mochi's stuff and I still do, don't get me wrong. It's cute and fun and the style stands out very well both in writing and artstyle. The idea of the inn is cool. I want to see what the sisters are going to do.

But if you're asking what I find creepy specifically. I find taking peep photos of the guests staying at your hotel during a romantic getaway and drooling over them a little bit creepy considering the context of invading your customer's/guest's privacy as unambiguous voyeurism, that's all. Just a little uncomfy.

I think this is an okay one-shot with an interesting concept. It's criticizing the social pressure where high school girls think they have to grow up and is about how shit that concept of what's mature is. The protagonist is messed up by it and doesn't even have a framework to understand what she's done wrong and that's the perspective the story is told from but the reader is supposed to obviously understand better.

It's sad because the reader probably realizes what kind of attention they're going to get for going around school bragging about not being virgins that openly... So it feels like this would be the catalyst for something to happen that forces her to look at everything she's been forcing on herself and her friend to chase a fickle popularity and grow up so fast.

I expected this to go in the "I shouldn't leave my best friend behind just because I want to fit in with the popular kids, since they don't really care about my wellbeing and I love my bestiemore than I thought I did" direction.

It um. It didn't.

Without much substance, but very cute. It feels like they skipped over the particulars of why they like each other to follow the format, but I liked it.

Plus, the art is so cute I'm obligated to like it.

Oh, another chapter of Tonari no Robot! Love this series so much! Love things that explore the way artificial beings grow and feel as a reflection of how humans do it ourselves, and those differences are reconciliable in the crazy thing we call love. I really hope they get a happy ending together.

Nezchan put it best. The world needs more lesbian robots.

This put such a grin on my face. This author knows how to do the cute, fluffy, funny sorts of little stories so well, I love it.
