the bad part is that the author cut the whole sex scene so we can’t really tell if she tried to stop Gunj/had a big rejection or was just that trope where the girl says “no” but likes it. I think the problem is that, despite the fact that it's not something you enter right away when you were a virgin two minutes earlier, the mistress has feelings for the puppy girl. Ah, the chars are pretty interesting and we don't see a lot of this trope (at least i don't see it, most of the yuri tropes are high school girls loving their bffs). Also the art is really good and its supposed to be a comedy, but if i do recall it the father and the mom kiss at some point? so the yuri is confirmed at least~

The ending was quite... okay? Not much different from the anime (which i remember they saying it would be another version or something). At least they explained better how Chitaru and Hitsugi ressurrected but overall it was just alright. The good part is that their romantic feelings were less implied here than the anime, but as much as I love Isuke, her relationship with Haruki in the manga was kinda... okay? I mean they didn't have a lot of romantic interactions or even similar scenes like confessions and stuff like with TokaHaru or ChitaHitsu. It felt like their relationship came out of the blue just cuz they were roomates? Even Sumireko was portrayed being p gay towards Banba, while Haruki and Isuke...? Unless you consider canon the small riddles, but even tho. The ship for me became famous mostly bc Minakata ships them and other outside reasons than for the things that happened in the manga.

ARt is great af. Well, according to the lore the Hakurei family separated the human world from the "youkai" world aka Gensokyo. It's implied that Yukari had a great importance is this conjuncture since shes the one that control borders and was always close to the Hakurei family through generations. Maybe the author changed that up a little bit and put all the work on Yukari's shoulders, creating a new backstory for Reimu since she's obviously not the first Hakurei miko.

EDIT with some infos: "The barrier was first created by humans in Meiji 18 (CE 1885), and later reinforced by youkai. While the idea was at first highly controversial among youkai, and led to much infighting between them, it is now almost universally accepted. Yukari Yakumo is widely acknowledged as the architect of the barrier, and is said to have first motioned for it around 400 years before its actual creation, though Yuyuko Saigyouji has speculated that not even Yukari could create a barrier of this level by herself."

Isuke x Nio makes a lot more sense in the manga since theyre ALWAYS together (even in the background), it's those frendships where you hang out together to make fun of people
