Yeah, I thought we all knew ages ago that Ayaka was obsessed with being #1 because she thought that's what her mother's love was based on?

Exactly.
Drew8898 legit forgot and ranted about it.

Ah well, these things happen. I've read all the chapters a couple of times, I don't know if I would remember otherwise. And every time I read them again I'm surprised at how little Ayaka is actually in the manga overall.

Honestly the whole love hotel scene and Nozomi's behaviour surrounding it made me pretty uncomfortable and sort of spoiled the later scenes on me. Pity because the sex, when they got to it, was pretty hot.

Honestly I liked it. It's nice to see an author (or mangaka here) who's known to write stories (or draw/script manga) with positive vibes and then suddenly write (or draw/script) something with lots of drama, and less positive vibes along with different kinds of character types that you wouldn't think they would write about.

The garden arc was pretty fucked up in AnoKiss and both Ayaka and Yurine have a lot of unresolved issues that Canno papers over with cute art.

I got the impression from the last page that Natsuko knows (thinks?) her friend isn't in love with her so all she can do is keep being cruel to her to keep seeing her cute desperate face.

Whether she's right or not, I dunno. Unreliable narrator, anyone? I thought it was pretty sad, personally.

Honestly I feel like Sayaka was just unlucky. What Touko needed was a friend first and foremost and that's what Sayaka was to her and I think it's good and admirable that she recognised that. Ideally next she'd be able to move on and find love with someone else because a. Touko is all kinds of messed up and Sayaka is better off out of that after her first relationship and b. because Touko just isn't into her romantically. Them's the breaks sometimes.

Kinda. But I don't wanna spoil, as I was rather pleasantly surprised by how it turned out.

Wait, is there actual development involving Ayaka? I'm so excited.

Pretty sure it's complete.

This is cute:

When I read these two's chapters they didn't seem very gay, but then again, with some exceptions from Kurosawa, Canno's twitter is so much gayer than her comic. If only she could get that stuff past her editor (assuming that's what's happening...?).

It seemed very pre-relationship to me.

Still needs a sequel where she approaches her mother about marriage, imo.

Sayaka showing more signs of jealousy. I wonder if this will turn into a love triangle.

Hope it doesn't

+1

I think it's only a triangle if at least one person is interested in each of the corners and Yuu and Touko are clearly only into each other. Sayaka liking Touko is more of tangent.

That's still a love triangle. There's various possibilities and kinda of love triangles, but as long as there's three ppl and feelings connect them, it's a love triangle.

I think you're wrong, but a'ight.

Honestly, I never thought about specifically searching for a loli + age gap. The only one I read was "Hoshikawa Ginza District 4", and I found it to be rather enjoyable, but I got to it because it was by Kurogane Ken, rather than looking for a loli story. Still, as I said, it was enjoyable, but then again, it was not really graphic, the social stigma was addressed, rather than just ignored, and it managed to convey both parties' sincere and serious feelings, without the younger one looking immature, or the older one looking manipulating.

There's also Kodomo no Jikan which actually has an interesting story once you get past all the fan service garbage. Though that's het rather than yuri.

KnJ did have Kuro, who I've always been a little heartbroken about being single at the end of the manga. She was never de-gayed though, so I just headcanon that she has a school-wide harem. The Kuro expy in her new manga is even more explicitly lesbian, so I'm a little curious as to where she's going to take that storyline.

It was a troll question anyway, may as well follow the discussion wherever it goes.

Didn't Japan already bring in some legislation years ago which is why Kodomo no Jikan got canned?

Makoto's one of my favorite characters, so I enjoyed seeing him take the spotlight for a chapter.

Same here. Makoto's an otaku but he's a nice guy with his common sense still intact.

My favorite scene would have to be the panel with Akina here.

I'm still curious as to what Micchy thinks about Akina and Kaede's relationship.

I can agree with you on Amy. Caricatures have never been terribly entertaining.

I did find Amy pretty cringeworthy.

But I actually usually like Makoto chapters because they have a surprisingly sweet sibling relationship. And also platonic, which is unusual in anime/manga.

What was the pun title in Japanese? The same? Clearly that's my top priority for this one shot :p

Ikitakunaru massage-ten.

Verb contraction makes a literal translation weird, but the meaning is 'the massage parlor that makes you want to go'. The wordplay here is that Japanese uses the 'to go' verb for having an orgasm.

The thing that bothers me is I feel like it should read "The Massage Parlor That Keeps You Cumming Back" instead. I dunno how it is as a translation, but it reads better to me.

Just started reading this.

[9001]

http://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/furumapura_ch06#1 I thought she said "Always use cond[itioner]" here but misread.

I also thought the mom was a brother. I'm just blind.

I didn't cop about the mother til I read this thread either. She looks very like his designs for male characters in other works.

Yuu is changing from "if only i could think this girl as cute" to "i guess the way she gets embarrassed and turns red easily is cute" in just one chapter. ONE CHAPTER EVERYONE!!!!

No, i don't have any theory or deep thought about this, i just want to declare it

He, true, something like that. I had actually forgotten about it, went back to skim a bit
More like she's still wondering about it actually, but close enough. I didn't find it super clear when she asked herself IF she found it cute, but I suppose she might have come to a conclusion when she admits that she can't say to Touko, that she's probably cute? Or something?

someone on /u/ mentioned that the last scene reads less ambiguously in the chinese translation (as in, it leans more towards yuu thinking touko is cute)

but since ch 11 raws still aren't on the internet it's hard to say.

Is the Chinese translation a good one though?

I suppose one good thing about scanlation is we often end up with access to the magazine and tanks.
