Anyone else starting to dislike Sumin after this ch or maybe even resent her for her complete disregard for Seju?

To be honest I started disliking her way back than this chapter. Not that I dislike her, she's just my least fav out of the three

Also how Sumin said that Nami should leave because Sungji was coming. It still shows that she's not willing to open up to her past with Sungji.
Maybe this whole thing with Nami and Seju now, will force her to let Sungji know. Or Sungji will somehow learn about it from other people.

Seju's words after she started crying were really heartbreaking. This actually made me think that even if she ends up being with Nami, she will forever love Sumin. Even if they will not be together.
Maybe sometimes, even loving someone without them turning it back is also enough for a person

Sumin's initial reaction to Nami telling her that Seju has slept with someone is like "huh, she hasn't slept with me.." or something like that, as if she wouldnt expect Seju to break her Repent of so many years...

That actually makes me wonder...Is Sumin this confident because she takes Seju for granded? What if she felt like she would actually lose her? Would she still not care like now, or act more upset

Yes I agree. So far she hasn't done anything to sabotage Sumin's relationships. Maybe the fact that she let the Redhead's husband know about her cheating on him with Sumin. But this wasn't exactly her fault, since it was Redhead's choice to cheat.

She's weak regarding her need for Sumin. But that's easy to say, if you haven't experience what is to grow up with people who taught you hate and humiliation, and then meeting someone who loves you. I think it's hard to let go of that person.

Exactly. I also believe that Seju is addicted to Sumin, and Sumin is the only reason she has stayed failry sane so far. If it wasn't for Sumin, even if they weren't dating anymore, her love for her kept her going. I think it's possible she would have harmed herself if she didn't have that special person.

I think it's the obvious choice that Nami is secretely in love with Seju, and is trying to help her. What walks and talks like a duck, it is a duck (most of the time)

I think Sumin is well developed as well but maybe Seju might be more I'm not sure... Seju hasn't changed much but we get to know a lot about her different sides, Sumin is more consistent I guess.

Yeah Sumin is also developed, but my problem with her development is that it seems out of the sudden. At least to me. I mean she has dated a lot of girls before, how is Sungji now able to change her, you know?
If someone thinks about it, Sungji being the person she is, and innocent enough is what Sumin needs. But at the same time Sumin is still traumatised, and I think they should develop her healling more in this part.
Because for the past 10 or so chapters all there is is them having sex.

I wrote this some weeks ago, when we were discussing Seju in this thread.

Seju is just passively waiting while wishing for Sumin's relationship to fail: Honestly, I think this is up to the reader. Most of you agree that she's passive and I agree to a certain extent. But waiting for 10 fucking years isn't for the weak of heart. She quit drinking; she didn't fool around with other women. She didn't distract herself from her heartache. Yes, Seju was passive as she didn't fight back for Sumin. But she stood still like a stone and refused to move on. I think that's a choice of hers and I respect that. Maybe she's just chained to the emotional dependency of Sumin and thus she is passive for not trying to fight that. But maybe it's just her stubborn choice and she will accept the pain that will come with it.

The best part of this chapter for me is that Seju declares its her call whether she stays in love with a past lover or moves on. And that she accepts whatever she gets from it, because it has a meaning for her.

Also I'm actually relived to see Seju's breakdown even though it almost killed me. She goes from psycho in chapter 47 and then to crying woobie in 48, which makes me pretty happy to see her character getting all her development.

Seju's character is the best developed right now imo. And I agree, she's not weak. maybe passively waiting, yes. But it's different

do you eat jelly in summer?! or do you like crepes more? crepes are all year 'round though! Don't they always put too much merenda/nutella though? One time it fell all over my chest and I was wearing a transparent shirt so I had to clean it and it was a bit embarrassing >.>

I wouldn't say they do it very often, but it's definitely a summer food! But I don't know if it's actually a local recipe or just global, you know.

What they do a lot here (the older women) is grapes with syrop...It's called "Spoon Sweet". Smething like the cherries you get on b-day cakes

Anyway, this cake tastes reaaally good. One of my aunt has done it once and it was awesome, really tasty. But she put a pineapple jelly on top, and with peach pieces inside the jelly.

yeaaah, I'm the same! I like both but I like them differently, I'm not so indifferent towards their gender.
I'm definitely more attracted to women. I'm attracted to more guys but I never got a crush on one, well at least not a very big crush...? I have had small crushes in girls more often but I only had one big crush on one girl. I'm not super interested in guys to be honest, I can't help but feel attracted to some but I don't think I'd want to be in a relationship with one... I mean I think I'd most likely fall in love with a girl rather than a guy. What I do thin though is that if I broke up with this girl I could end up being more interested in guys afterwards ahaha, but I'm not sure :P, for now I'm like this.

Not just about kids. Like Faylicia said too, liking a guy and a girl feels different. For example, with a guy I feel like I am being protected, while with the girl I feel another type of connection, a little more intense, but also sometimes this is bad, because it can end up worse.
And truth to be told, I donb't know how society subconsciously influenced us regarding who we like, but I think it plays a role whether we realise it or not.

Newp It also depends if you are sexually attracted to someone. If you are not attracted to women this way, I'd say you are probably on the straight side. Although of course I can't talk about you personally and I could be wrong ^^'

In Cyprus it's worse also, you know, ;_;. I'm half Cypriot and I lived there too :) but people are even more uneducated about. However they are quite accepting in their own way? like well, no accepting but they aren't really that mean... There were two teachers in my school who lived together and stuff and basically there were rumors they were a couple and some made fun of them but yeah... no one disrespected them... well especially because one of them was like really strict and kind of lost his temper really abruptly... he was scary >.>

I wasn't sure If I wanted to post this, but since Suzuma said what happened to that boy in Germany...it's really heartbreaking. In my country, most people are very homophobic too. It's usually the older men who when they see a gay, they will take that "disgusteted" expression on their face and they will call him f** . They just won't kill them, but besides that, there is still a big stigma around it.
Most of my friends and familly is like this too.

Also there is a video on Youtube, where one of the "best" andpopular sexologist in Greece was talking about homosexuality. What he was saying was disgusting, and the fact that a lot of people believe his words and that he is the best makes it even worse.

He was basically talking about female homosexuality specifically.
And that there are two types of lesbians. The manly one, and the feminine one. The manly one, as he called them, are the "spider lesbians" that will trap the feminine girl to their web. Those feminine girls, are not actually gay (he doesn't think that being feminine and liking girls is possible), but they come from a disfuctionla households. this is why they are more valnerable, and the spider butch lesbian takes this chance to trap them.
