Both have done wonders and are incredibly popular with everyone. They're just delaying it so as to extend the life of the game even more, since there are a number of other girls also eligible for a Kai Ni.

@takachi It's possible that the next chapter will be the talk with the ex, but then again, so is the visit to Keiko's mom, it has been mention quite a while ago, and it hasn't happened yet.

Guess we differ on the enjoyment of drama. I've had more than enough drama fics/mangas/doujins to last me quite a while and I really don't want to see any more. What's happening here isn't really drama though, and Shou hasn't shown that he writes it like that. I guess we'll see.

The threesome stops right before it starts. Karma runs out as soon as Liam joins in.
The season finale of S1 has Amy having drunk sex with Liam because they both wanted to hurt Karma after she rejected Amy and Liam found out that Karma lied about her relationship with Amy. Honestly not worth dropping the show for.
Karma and Liam are basically in a relationship and pretty much have sex everytime Karma needs to overcompensate for her feelings for Amy.

From what you tell me it's Amy that's the horrible friend and this Liam is a douche as well. Granted that they were hurt but revenge sex? Really? I wouldn't drop it because of that but I would be very close, I would drop it because of the latter thing.

Keep in mind I have not watched the show and don't know their other interactions.

I started watching Faking It for the lolz but I dropped it when Amy slept with Liam that was too fucked up for me.

I thought there was a threesome as well? Between the girls who are faking it and the guy the 'non-lesbian' is interested in.

Karma (the girl that the 'non-lesbian' Amy is interested in) planned the threesome but she wanted Amy to leave before they started so she could have sex with the guy but Amy wanted Karma to realize that she had feelings for her so she stayed and Karma was like "woah" when she and Amy kissed but then she got weird when Amy kissed the guy and left, there was no sex/threesome in the end. At least that's how I remember it.

Ah, is that so? I haven't watched it, just read summary on IMDB and the summary for the episode after that one didn't say there was no sex or threesome. So in the end neither Amy nor Karma slept with the guy?

That would be a love-triangle, unless you mean having sex.

It was implied they had sex. I wouldn't have used threesome otherwise :P

More seriously, hasn't Ran been pushing Keiko for a while now to sit down with her ex like adults and settle things once and for all? Whether getting back together or walking away doesn't matter, although obviously the latter would be better for Ran.

Actually a lot of the story parts have to do with Ran building Keiko up to the point where she can face her demons. Not just the ex but her mom too, and as we saw earlier dealing with simple things like seeing kids playing.

Yeah, for the last few chapters. It seems that the next volume will start with Ran (probably) pushing Keiko and her ex to have the talk and near the end of the volume (inbetween slice of life goodness) there will be some sort of conclusion to their relationship. Either she'll get back together with him (which at the moment seems unlikely) or they will have a proper talk and leave on good terms.

Then again, it's more likely to start with Keiko's mom cause she wasn't mention in recent chapters (and he likes to throw in unexpected stuff), and after the mother the talk with the ex will happen.

Aw, I wanted Ran to say "I'll make you happy" or something along those lines. It is building up to a talk of sorts though. Or at least that's what I'm getting of the recent chapters.

Suddenly drama! Well, I'll reserve my disappointment based on the next chapter. Still it was nice.

More generally, the PC-98 games are more like apocrypha than canon—it's not clear whether any of the characters (i.e. a Shinki who lives in Makai) or story (Shinki made Alice) from the first 5 games exist in the Windows canon. Perfect Memento certainly makes that problematic, since it describes Alice as a natural human who became a magician.

I see, I want to play the PC-98 games but I can't get them to work, thankfully there is a project for 'porting' them. Anyone interested may search for @ReC98Project on twitter, though there hasn't been any updates since May (that's not indicative of no progress)
