All childhood friends are gay until proven otherwise.

What could have been the trigger of them swapping? Hope we will get a reasonable explanation.

I hope not. It can only be something silly ^^;

I'm just not getting into yuri anime these days. Either it's something I've read as a manga anyway, or it feels like the same trite old stuff - where you can predict half the dialogues and reactions as it's the same old jokes, with the same old character types doing the same old things, just dressed up a bit differently.

So much as I enjoy there regularily being new yuri additions it's just all kinda ... bleh. Not my taste. ^^;

Mhm, if this is alluding to climate change, then the main difference is that it's seemingly far away. If you told people "in 60 years all men will have died out if we don't start doing things now" they wouldn't do anything either.

But the closer you get to the actual crisis the more likely we are to do something about it ^^; Planning long ahead is unfortunately not a strength of current human society.

Gotta love how the manga jumps through a few extra hoops in the beginning to make this a totally consensual plot ... ^^

How can there be an "offtopic" for a story that never had any "ontopic"? It's a random collection of couples doing random stuff. It never pretended to be anything more.

I just can't read this as a serious attempt at dealing with LGBT people. It's more like ... I don't know. On the level of porn lesbians or something.

... girl says she realizes that wheelchair girl wants to be hero, gets conveniently abducted the moment after? I kinda expected that she orchestrated it deliberately, but it doesn't look that way.

^ nope, me too. Went as far as mentally suggesting breaking off that bit and scoop up the other side.

... somehow that really stuck with me. If I ever eat one, I'll at least know how to! ^^

That manga just feels mostly like a mess. "Let's find out stuff ... or not, let's forget about that. Fix the fake-relationship instead. Not sure why I'm invested in doing this, but whatever ... "

Mhm. Good chapters. I'm surprised it's rushing ahead this much now; that year passed pretty quickly ^^;

For detailed manga series breakups mangaupdates is very useful. For anime aniDB has a very nice relation feature (click on relation) that shows everything as a graph.

Just for the cases that have wiki fail.

I've re-read this while while reading Pinch Point over at webtoons yesterday (some weird sort of post-apocalyptic lesbian zombie-like thing) and I've changed my mind. It's fucking gay, not just maybe gay, and if it doesn't end sufficiently gay I'll set someone on fire.

Probably you.

But it needs to be added in believably. I'm not even saying it has to be realistic - it just needs to be credible. We do know human trafficking exists. We do know modern slavery exists. We do know there's a lot of messed up crimes happening even in our "safe", modern countries, whether it's sex slavery or conversion camps or child abuse rings or whatever. So it's not so outrageous that it couldn't at all have been done, but you need to give us something that'll make us go "oh, so that's why it really works".

For example, in Jody Klaire's Above and Beyond novel series there's also a school like this. And while I personally also didn't find it quite believable, it takes more care to explain how people the kids are isolated with no way out, how it can operate due to corruption or blatantly looking away and so on.

But here I'm still only getting a vibe of ... that the author wanted a tragic lesbian romance (but only lesbian because of the circumstances, really) thing and thus casually invented this system but neither thought it through nor really cares about it.

Remember: if you can't find the lolicon in the manga, YOU are the lolicon.

But I'm 13 ...

I just don't pay enough attention to authors (and many write precisely one story anyway). I'd be more inclined to list individual series - but even there I can't say I have one that I'd consider complete awesome to the point of blowing everything else away and holding it above all others. Hm. ^^

The moment I saw the last page I laughed - if someone had designed a one-shot to rile up the Dynasty comment section it'd probably look exactly like this one ...

The last panel expression is the second best expression of second best expressions I've seen in manga.

... it's actually Kasumi who first says something like this out loud (or possibly even here, if you want to take it this way).

But this stuff is the bread and butter of comedy manga and anime since, I don't know, roughly 1970. So some people say it's more meaningful here than the typical throwaway gag. Alright. But those who says it's just the same as always have just as much of a point.

Yeahyeah, so she's not really into guys, but the whole detour feels kinda bleh anyway. Revealing this stuff retrospectively just comes across as artificial; if her first reaction had been "where the f... is my boyfriend?"; or if maybe it had been mentioned along with her "fall in love normally" statement early on, it'd have been a different matter, but as a "plot twist" ... naaaw.

Yeah, what a happy school life - you get a girlfriend, but are isolated from everyone else and never invited to any parties, to karaoke, or anything, out of consideration for your superior status. Such bliss :p

Was willing to bet that she'd knew about her being a bakeneko all along, but I'd have lost that one.

It's okay, but I'll have forgotten about it within a day ^^;
